Definitions
- the invention relates to a device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- DE-B 17 85 451 discloses a device of this type for producing two mirror-image plush goods, two carrier fabric webs stretched with the sum of the individual pile heights being accommodated on the transport device and one on the outlet side in the area between the two carrier fabric webs arranged, this separating cutting device is provided.
- each of the tufting needles arranged in the form of a row running at right angles transversely to the web transport direction is assigned its own gripper.
- the tufting needles arranged next to one another in the direction of the width of the carrier fabric web must therefore be spaced so far apart that the grippers respectively associated with them can be accommodated without collision. This requires a comparatively large tufting needle spacing, which results in a restriction with regard to the density of the distribution of the tufting threads.
- This space is advantageously not limited to the lateral distance between the individual tufting needles. Rather, the projection of the entire row of tufting needles seen in the direction of transport is available. Comparatively robust parts can therefore be used to form the loop holder, even under rough operating conditions and heavy loads ensure high reliability and durability.
- the extensive installation space for the loop holding device advantageously also results in a high level of clarity and good accessibility, which can also facilitate maintenance and repair.
- the distances between the individual tufting needles can be comparatively small. This distance is only a fraction of the row length which is decisive for the loop holder installation space or its projection as seen in the transport direction. As a result of the comparatively small needle spacing, a very dense tufting thread distribution can advantageously be achieved.
- a plurality of parallel rows of tufting needles can be expediently provided on each tufting needle bar, each of which is assigned a common engagement member of the loop holding device.
- the lateral loop holder spacing advantageously corresponds to the row spacing, which is considerably larger than the mutual needle spacing. Due to the distribution of the needles provided over the web width over several parallel rows running at an angle to the web transport direction, the required construction volume can also be kept within limits. Accordingly, the measures mentioned enable a comparatively compact design despite the small needle spacing and large installation space for the loop holding device.
- the measures according to the invention advantageously enable high production output despite the simple construction.
- Using the measures according to the invention it is in fact easily possible to design the carrier fabric transport device in such a way that a feed step corresponds in each case to a desired tufting thread spacing in the finished product.
- the needle spacing seen in the transport direction can also advantageously correspond to a tufting thread spacing in the finished product.
- the engagement member of the loop holding device each associated with a row of tufting needles, can be designed as a lance parallel to the backing fabric and extending in the longitudinal direction of the row. This is advantageously a robust component with high inherent stability. It is therefore advantageously possible to operate comparatively long rows of tufting needles without risk.
- the plurality of juxtaposed engagement members of the loop holding device which are arranged next to one another and are arranged next to one another, can expediently be accommodated on a common bar which runs transversely to the web transport direction and is guided and movable in the longitudinal direction of the row.
- a binding thread is expediently inserted into the tufting thread loops, in particular when producing two mirror-image goods.
- a binding thread catcher arranged in the area of the front dead center of the lance tip can advantageously be assigned to the engagement elements of the loop holding device which are used for this purpose and each carry a binding thread and which can simply be designed as needle-shaped lances. This measure enables a reliable formation of twine loops and thus a high level of operational safety. Since only one binding thread catcher is required for each engaging member and accordingly for each row of tufting needles, there is advantageously also a comparatively large distance in this regard, which enables a clear, robust construction.
- the double tufting machine on which the drawing is based enables, as can best be seen from FIG. 1, the simultaneous production of two velor material webs 1, 2. These each consist in a manner known per se of a carrier fabric web 3, 4, into which threads 5a are sewn, which appear here as a pile of the same height h. The threads 5a are placed at puncture points spaced apart from one another by the distance a. In the area between the two pairs of rollers, the two fabric webs 3, 4 are guided parallel in the tensioned state. Their clear distance corresponds to the sum of the two individual pile heights, here twice the height h.
- the step-by-step drive of the transport device is such that one step corresponds to the distance a.
- a tufting needle bar 10 is provided which is continuous over the web width and can be moved up and down by means of a crank mechanism 9 mounted on a crossbar of the machine frame 8 that have multiple rows 11 of tufting needles 12 arranged in a manner to be described in greater detail below, each having an eyelet 12a at its front end and each carrying a so-called pile or tufting thread 13, which in the subdivided state described below each appears as a pile emerging threads 5a results.
- the stroke of the tufting needle bar 10, which is movable perpendicularly to the transport plane of the carrier fabric sheets 3, 4 by a plurality of guide rods 14 distributed over the width, is dimensioned such that the tufting needles 12 each pierce both carrier fabric sheets 3, 4, the tufting threads 13 carried along, as can be seen from FIG. 3 can be seen, form loops 15.
- the tufting needle bar 10 is a spacer 16, here in the form between the two parallel carrier fabric webs 3, 4 a solid ledge, which the tufting needles 12 pass by.
- a tufting needle bar that is continuous over the width of the web, it would of course also be possible to provide a plurality of appropriately synchronously movable bar sections.
- a loop holding device with the individual loop holders associated with the individual rows of tufting needles 11 is provided below the lower carrier fabric web 4 in the form of reciprocally movable engagement members 17 which are arranged in parallel with the web and which at the end of the downward stroke the tufting needles 12 engage in the loops 15 and secure them against being pulled open.
- the engaging members 17 can each carry a lower thread acting as binding thread 18, which, as FIG. 3 also clearly shows, how the lower thread of a sewing machine fixes the loops 15 on the underside of the lower carrier fabric web 4 during the upward stroke of the tufting needles 12.
- the transport device is activated, with a feed by one step.
- the engaging members 17 can be accommodated on a bar 19 which is continuous over the web width and which is guided in a longitudinal guide 20 parallel to the web and can be driven by means of a crank mechanism 21.
- a bar 19 running across the width of the web it would of course also be possible to provide a plurality of bar sections which are arranged next to one another and can advantageously be moved synchronously.
- the tufting needle bar 10 carries several rows of tufting needles 11, which are evenly distributed over the web width and run obliquely to the web transport direction, each of which comprises a plurality of tufting needles 12 arranged obliquely one behind the other.
- the inclination of the rows of tufting needles 11 with respect to the web transport direction indicated by arrow 22 in FIG. 4 is 45 ° here, which results in the same projection lengths of the rows of tufting needles 11 in terms of web length and width and thus enables a very compact arrangement.
- the width of the tufting needle bar 10 in the longitudinal direction of the web is dimensioned such that it is at least the projection length corresponds to the tufting needle rows 11 seen transversely to the longitudinal direction of the web.
- each row of tufting needles 11 comprises five tufting needles 12, which here are arranged one behind the other at 45 ° to the web transport direction.
- each tufting needle 12 produces stitches 24 on a track 23 which is shown in dotted lines in FIG. 4 and whose distance corresponds to a feed step, ie the distance a.
- the mutual distance between the tufting needles 12 arranged one behind the other is dimensioned such that the projection seen in the direction of transport also corresponds to the distance a.
- the row spacing R of the individual tufting needle rows 11 seen in the direction of the web width corresponds to the projection of their length seen in the transport direction plus a needle spacing.
- the tufting needles 12 of each row of tufting needles 11 are each assigned a common engagement member 17, which results in a mutual distance between the engagement members 17 corresponding to the row spacing R.
- the engaging members 17, which are inclined obliquely to the web transport direction like the tufting needle rows 11, are comb-like here over the width of the web continuous barre 19 lined up. This runs perpendicular to the web transport direction.
- the associated longitudinal guide 20 runs parallel to the direction of the rows of tufting needles 11, which run obliquely with respect to the web transport direction, so that a movement of the engagement members 17 parallel to the rows can be achieved by means of the crank mechanism 21.
- the stroke of the bar 19 and, accordingly, also of the engaging members 17 received thereon is somewhat greater than the length of the rows of tufting needles 11, so that the engaging members 17 with all the tufting needles 12 of the respectively associated tufting needle row 11 or the loops 15 laid by these tufting needles 12 in and are disengageable.
- the entire loop holding device is drawn with solid lines in the front end position and indicated by dash-dotted lines in the rear end position.
- the engagement members 17 are designed here as lances arranged parallel to the backing fabric and extending in the longitudinal direction of the row, the length of which at least corresponds to the stroke of the associated bar 19.
- the lances mentioned are needle-shaped, ie, like the tufting needles 12, are provided with an eyelet 25 in the region of their front end.
- a binding thread can be dispensed with, only the lance-shaped engagement members engage in the loops 15 during the return stroke of the tufting needles 12.
- each engaging member 17, as shown in FIGS. 1, 3 and 4 is also assigned a binding thread catcher 26 arranged below the lower carrier fabric web 4.
- the binding thread catchers 26, which can be brought into and out of engagement with the front end of the respectively assigned binding thread loop 18a, are arranged in the region of the front dead center of the front end of the respectively assigned engagement members 17.
- the binding thread catchers 26 are simply designed as pivotably arranged hooks which hold the binding thread 18 during the return stroke of the lance forming the respectively associated engagement member 17.
- the binding thread catchers 26 assigned to the engagement members 17 distributed over the web width are practically arranged along a line running at right angles transversely to the web transport direction. All of the binding thread catchers 26 arranged over the web width with the distribution of the engagement members 17 corresponding distribution are accommodated here on a support 27 which is continuous over the web width and which is simply designed as a pivotable shaft which can be coupled with a swivel drive (not shown here). Of course, it would also be conceivable to provide a plurality of carrier sections arranged next to one another.
- twine loops 18a placed by the engaging members 17 can, as shown in FIG. 5, be brought at their front, eyelet-shaped end 18b into engagement with the respectively adjacent twine loop 18a offset by a feed step a. Accordingly, this acts as a restraining means assigned to the looped thread loop.
- the tufting thread loops 15 laid by the tufting needles 12 form rows 15a corresponding to the tufting needle rows 11, rows 15a offset by a feed step a corresponding to successive strokes of the assigned tufting needle row 11.
- the twine catchers 26 can simply be designed and arranged such that they deflect the respectively captured twine loop 18a in front of the foremost tufting loop 15 of the associated row 15a so far transversely to the row longitudinal direction that the deflected, eyelet end 18b at the next stroke of the Tufting needle row 11 comes to lie next to the foremost tufting thread loop 15 of the tufting thread loop row 15a produced in the process and is accordingly passed through by the associated engagement member 17 during the forward stroke of the engagement members 17.
- the binding thread carried by this is accordingly also inserted into the deflected end 18b and then again deflected in the manner outlined above by means of the assigned binding thread catcher.
- the two carrier fabric webs 3, 4 are, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, through the drawn loops 15 connected together.
- the interconnected webs 3, 4 are separated from each other by means of a cutting device 28 arranged in the area of the pair of rollers 7 on the outlet side, which can simply be designed as a stationary or vibrating knife which cuts through the tufting threads and thus forms the pile threads 5a .
- the cutting device 28 is at a medium height, so that the same pile heights h result.
- a rotating cutting element could of course also be used.

Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung gemäß Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.The invention relates to a device according to the preamble of
Dies macht hier einen vergleichsweise großen Tuftingnadelabstand erforderlich, was eine Beschränkung hinsichtlich der Dichte der Verteilung der Tuftingfäden ergibt.DE-B 17 85 451 discloses a device of this type for producing two mirror-image plush goods, two carrier fabric webs stretched with the sum of the individual pile heights being accommodated on the transport device and one on the outlet side in the area between the two carrier fabric webs arranged, this separating cutting device is provided. In this known arrangement, each of the tufting needles arranged in the form of a row running at right angles transversely to the web transport direction is assigned its own gripper. The tufting needles arranged next to one another in the direction of the width of the carrier fabric web must therefore be spaced so far apart that the grippers respectively associated with them can be accommodated without collision. This requires a comparatively large tufting needle spacing, which results in a restriction with regard to the density of the distribution of the tufting threads.
Proceeding from this, it is therefore the object of the present invention to improve a device of the type mentioned at the beginning with simple and inexpensive means so that a dense distribution of the tufting threads can be achieved.
This object is achieved by the characterizing measures of
These measures advantageously result in a large amount of installation space for the loop holding device. This space is advantageously not limited to the lateral distance between the individual tufting needles. Rather, the projection of the entire row of tufting needles seen in the direction of transport is available. Comparatively robust parts can therefore be used to form the loop holder, even under rough operating conditions and heavy loads ensure high reliability and durability. The extensive installation space for the loop holding device advantageously also results in a high level of clarity and good accessibility, which can also facilitate maintenance and repair. Despite the extensive installation space for the loop holding device, the distances between the individual tufting needles can be comparatively small. This distance is only a fraction of the row length which is decisive for the loop holder installation space or its projection as seen in the transport direction. As a result of the comparatively small needle spacing, a very dense tufting thread distribution can advantageously be achieved.
Advantageous refinements and appropriate further training of the higher-level measures are specified in the subclaims. For example, a plurality of parallel rows of tufting needles, equally offset from one another, can be expediently provided on each tufting needle bar, each of which is assigned a common engagement member of the loop holding device. The lateral loop holder spacing advantageously corresponds to the row spacing, which is considerably larger than the mutual needle spacing. Due to the distribution of the needles provided over the web width over several parallel rows running at an angle to the web transport direction, the required construction volume can also be kept within limits. Accordingly, the measures mentioned enable a comparatively compact design despite the small needle spacing and large installation space for the loop holding device.
The measures according to the invention advantageously enable high production output despite the simple construction. Using the measures according to the invention, it is in fact easily possible to design the carrier fabric transport device in such a way that a feed step corresponds in each case to a desired tufting thread spacing in the finished product. Likewise, the needle spacing seen in the transport direction can also advantageously correspond to a tufting thread spacing in the finished product.
In a further development of the superordinate measures, the engagement member of the loop holding device, each associated with a row of tufting needles, can be designed as a lance parallel to the backing fabric and extending in the longitudinal direction of the row. This is advantageously a robust component with high inherent stability. It is therefore advantageously possible to operate comparatively long rows of tufting needles without risk.
The plurality of juxtaposed engagement members of the loop holding device, which are arranged next to one another and are arranged next to one another, can expediently be accommodated on a common bar which runs transversely to the web transport direction and is guided and movable in the longitudinal direction of the row. These measures enable all sling holders to be operated together, which can simplify the construction.
A binding thread is expediently inserted into the tufting thread loops, in particular when producing two mirror-image goods. A binding thread catcher arranged in the area of the front dead center of the lance tip can advantageously be assigned to the engagement elements of the loop holding device which are used for this purpose and each carry a binding thread and which can simply be designed as needle-shaped lances. This measure enables a reliable formation of twine loops and thus a high level of operational safety. Since only one binding thread catcher is required for each engaging member and accordingly for each row of tufting needles, there is advantageously also a comparatively large distance in this regard, which enables a clear, robust construction.
Further expedient further training and advantageous refinements of the superordinate measures are specified in the remaining subclaims.

The double tufting machine on which the drawing is based enables, as can best be seen from FIG. 1, the simultaneous production of two
In the area between the two pairs of
To ensure that the
As can best be seen from FIG. 4, the
In the example shown, each row of tufting needles 11 comprises five tufting needles 12, which here are arranged one behind the other at 45 ° to the web transport direction. In operation, each tufting
As the figure further shows, the tufting needles 12 of each row of tufting needles 11 are each assigned a
The
The binding
In order to secure the
Following the web area that comes into engagement with the tufting needles 12, the two
Although a preferred exemplary embodiment of the invention has been explained in more detail above with reference to the drawing, this is not intended to imply any limitation. Rather, a number of possibilities are available to the person skilled in the art to adapt the general idea of the invention to the circumstances of the individual case. For example, it would also be conceivable to use the measures according to the invention also in connection with the single-layer manufacture of velor goods. In this context, too, a very dense pile thread distribution can be achieved with the help of the measures according to the invention.
