Claims (7)

  1. Hospital bed having an underframe (1) comprising four supporting legs (2) and carrying a bed frame (3) which is adjustable in height and/or inclination, the supporting legs (2) being associated in each case with a wheel (5) supported at a separate guide (4) mounted at the underframe (1) near the supporting legs and being able to be lowered into the traveling position of the bed and lifted into the stationary position of the bed, characterised in that each wheel (5) is supported at the height adjustable sliding part (6) of a telescopic guide (4) fixed to the underframe (1),
    each telescopic guide (4) is associated with a toggle joint (9) pivotally connected to the stationary telescopic part (7) on the one hand, and with the height adjustable sliding part (6) on the other hand,
    the toggle joint (9) is connected, at one end region of the bed's length with its connecting shaft (10) to a motor drive (11) and the toggle joint (9) at the other end region of the bed's length is coupled with its connecting shaft (10a) via at least one pressing and drawing rod (12) to the motor driven connecting shaft (10) as regards its movements.

Hospital bed as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that each toggle joint (9) comprises a first lever (15) mounted at the stationary telescopic part (7) so as to be pivotable with one end about a horizontal pivot axis (13), and a second lever (16) is mounted at the sliding part (6) so as to be pivotable with one end about a horizontal pivot axis (14), said lever being further connected adjustably in height to the sliding part (6) carrying the wheel (5), both levers (15, 16) being pivotally connected to one another with their neighbouring ends in the common connecting shaft (10, 10a).
  3. Hospital bed as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the motor drive (11) is formed by an electric motor with a longitudinally shiftable threaded spindle (17), said motor being mounted at the underframe so as to be upwardly tiltable about a horizontal shaft (18) and encompassing with the free end of the threaded spindle (17) the connecting shaft (10) of the toggle joint (9) arranged in one end region of the bed's length for the pivot movements thereof for the altitude motion of the sliding part (6).
  4. Hospital bed as claimed in claim 3, characterised in that the lever (15) of the toggle joint (9) activated by the threaded spindle (17) is elongated so as to form a bent off lever part (15 a) and is connected at the free end of the lever part by a horizontal shaft (15 b) to the threaded spindle (17) so as to be pivotally movable.
  5. Hospital bed as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that between the toggle joint connecting shaft (10) moved by the electric motor (11) and the second toggle joint connecting shaft (10a) there is arranged the pressing and drawing rod (12) for the synchronous altitude motion of the wheel sliding parts (6) and accommodates in its rod ends the connecting shafts (10, 10a) in a pivotable manner.
  6. Hospital bed as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the two toggle joints (9) or pairs of toggle joints arranged in each case in one lateral region of the length are coupled by means of a pressing and drawing rod (12) as regards their motion and are pivotable by an own or a common drive (11) operating all pairs of toggle joints for the altitude motion of the wheel.
