Würde der Druck in dem jeweiligen Stellzylinder 66 abfallen, so würde dieser solch einer Drehung des Gelenkstücks 60 im Uhrzeigersinn nicht widerstehen, und der jeweilige Gegengewichtmechanismus 40, 42 würde zurück in die mit gestrichelten Linien gezeigte offene Position bewegt werden. Die Mitte des jeweiligen Bolzens 62 wird jedoch in eine Endposition links von der gedachten Linie zwischen den Mitten der Bolzen 58 und 64 bewegt. Eine Bewegung der jeweiligen Spannschraube 56 nach unten bei Druckabfall in dem jeweiligen Stellzylinder 66 würde folglich das jeweilige Gelenkstück 60 veranlassen, sich im Gegenuhrzeigersinn zu drehen. Diese Gegenuhrzeigersinn-Bewegung des Gelenkstücks 60 wird durch den Stopper 74 an der Kolbenstange 68 blockiert. Claims (6)

  1. Apparatus for supporting an impression cylinder in spaced-apart side walls of a rotary printing machine, having a bearing element (26) for supporting the ends (20) of the impression cylinder (16) in the side walls (12, 14), the bearing element (26) being removable from the one end (20) of the impression cylinder (16), and having a counterbalancing mechanism (40) which, in a supporting position, exerts force on the other end of the impression cylinder (16) in order to support the impression cylinder (16) when the bearing element (26) is removed, characterized in that a rotary arm (50) of the counterbalancing mechanism (40) is connected by a second bolt (58) via a tensioning screw (56) to an articulation piece (60), which can be activated by means of a pressure-actuated adjusting cylinder (66) and is moved by the centre of a first bolt (62), which connects the articulation piece (60) to the tensioning screw (56), via an imaginary line between the centres of the second bolt (58) and a third bolt (64), about which the articulation piece (60) rotates, in a first direction, which is limited by a stop (74) on the adjusting cylinder (66), and rotation back of the articulation piece (60) in a second direction, discontinuing the supporting action of the rotary arm (50), is avoided when the bearing element (26) is removed.
  2. Apparatus for supporting an impression cylinder according to Claim 1, characterized in that the articulation piece (60) of the counterbalancing mechanism (40) is rotatably accommodated on one of the side walls (12, 14).
  3. Apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the rotary arm (50) can be moved into and out of contact with the impression cylinder (16).
  4. Apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the rotary arm (50) has a curved holding face (54) which is brought into contact with the end (20) of the impression cylinder (16).
  5. Apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the counterbalancing mechanism (40) comprises an element (52) for adjusting the supporting position of the rotary arm (50) in order to adjust the position of the curved holding face (54) when the rotary arm (50) is in the supporting position.
  6. Apparatus according to Claim 5, characterized in that the adjusting element (52) adjusts the position of the curved holding face (54) both vertically and horizontally.
