Abstract

The packaging container has an outer container formed from a cardboard blank (7) and an inner container which is thermoformed from a plastic film. The connection, which is firm but releasable by hand, between the outer and inner containers of the packaging container is effected in a positive-locking manner in that, during the thermoforming of the inner container, bulges form in its wall which enter into cutouts (39 to 44) in the outer container. The outer container can be removed completely and easily from the inner container again for separate waste disposal. <IMAGE>

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Verpackungsbehälter mit den Merkmalen des Oberbegriffs des Patentanspruchs 1.The invention relates to a packaging container with the features of the preamble of claim 1.

Packaging containers with an outer container, which is formed from a one-piece cardboard blank, and with an inner container, which consists of a deep-drawn plastic film, are suitable for the packaging of e.g. Margarine at the moment widespread. The thicker outer layer of cardboard has an inner plastic coating, and it is bent from a cardboard blank into the container shape before it is combined with the inner layer in the deep-drawing mold to produce it. The plastic coating of the outer layer welds with the heated plastic material of the inner layer, and a firm bond is created along the entire surface.

Durch die SE-A-350 943 ist ein Verpackungsbehälter der eingangs genannten Art bekannt, der an den beiden längeren Seitenwandteilen des Kartonzuschnitts jeweils zwei kleine Ausschnitte aufweist, so dass sich an den entsprechenden Eckbereichen des viereckigen Behälters ein formschlüssiger Eingriff der Kunststoffolie des Innenbehälters ergibt.SE-A-350 943 discloses a packaging container of the type mentioned at the outset, which has two small cutouts on each of the two longer side wall parts of the cardboard blank, so that there is a positive engagement of the plastic film of the inner container on the corresponding corner regions of the square container.

These are arranged in large numbers near the opening edge and evenly distributed along the entire circumference of the container, so that they interrupt the otherwise smooth side surfaces of the packaging container, similar to the rivet heads of a steel container.

The invention has for its object to improve a packaging container of the type mentioned in such a way that the consumer can detach the plastic material of the inner layer in a simple manner and without aids from the cardboard material of the outer layer in order to dispose of both materials separately for waste disposal without the outer Appearance of the packaging container is adversely changed.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that an edge region of the inner container, which has a U-shaped cross section from the opening edge, extends beyond the bulges of the inner container.

The form-fitting connection between the inner and outer container ensures a secure connection to form a uniform overall container that can be easily detached by hand in order to dispose of both container parts for separate waste disposal.

The thicker outer layer can be produced using the winding method, starting from a strip material, or by folding, starting from a cardboard blank.

The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawings. It shows:
Fig. 1

The packaging container 1 has a flat bottom 2 and four side walls 3, which extend slightly outwards to the opening-side container edge 4, so that it can be stacked with numerous identical packaging containers before filling.

The packaging container 1 has its required rigidity from an outer container 5 made of cardboard material, while its tightness is ensured by an inner container 6 which is formed from a thin plastic film by deep drawing.

The parts 8 to 11 of the blank are bent upwards along the fold lines 12 to 15, the narrow-side blank parts 9, 11 being placed on the outside over the curved ends 16, 17 and 18, 19 of the blank parts 8, 10. In addition, the outer end 20, 21 of the narrow-side cut parts 9, 11 is bent inwards via fold lines 22, 23, so that they include upwardly directed end regions 24 to 27 of the cut parts 8, 10 and their stepped tips 28 to 31 in short incisions 32 to 35 come into engagement, which are arranged in a line with the fold lines 22, 23. When the plastic film forming the inner container 6 is formed in a deep-drawing mold, in which the outer container has previously been arranged, the plastic film clings closely to the outer container 5, and the inwardly folded ends 20, 21 of the narrow-side cut parts 9, 11 fix themselves accordingly to the enclosed, upwardly directed end regions 24 to 27 of the cut parts 8, 10, so that the cut parts 8 to 11 of the outer container 5 are securely connected to one another.

Furthermore, a firm positive connection between the inner and outer containers 6, 5 is achieved during deep drawing by bulges 37, 38 of the inner container 6 being formed in cutouts 39 to 44 of the outer container, as the enlarged illustration in FIG. 3 illustrates. In this case, the cutouts 41, 42 and 43, 44 lie one above the other after the fold, so that they are jointly captured by a bulge 37. The deep-drawing mold is provided with shaping bulges at the corresponding points, so that they contribute to the design of the bulges 37, 38 of the inner container 6. The bulges 37, 38 preferably follow only the upper contour of the circular cutouts 39 to 44, so that they are covered by the hollow edge 46 of the inner container 6 which is drawn outwards and downwards over the outer container 5. In this way, there is a firm bond between the inner and outer container (6,5), so that the unstable inner container (6) is reinforced by the outer container (5) to a stable container. So far, this could only be achieved by gluing the two and the parts 8, 10 of the cardboard blank to the other parts 9, 11 thereof. However, a particular advantage according to the object of the invention is that by avoiding an adhesive after using the packaging container, separate waste disposal of the cardboard portion and the plastic portion of the packaging container is also possible in a simple manner. In order to facilitate the necessary tearing off of the outer container 5 from the inner container 6, predetermined separation lines and / or grip tabs (not shown) can be formed on the outer container 5.

The tabs 48 to 51 of the cut parts 8, 10 forming the arcuate corner areas 47 of the outer container 5 have larger cutouts 52 to 55 into which shoulder-forming bulges 56 of the inner container 6 are formed, so that they are crescent-shaped around the upper area of the arcuate corner areas 47 extend. These shoulder-forming bulges 56 serve as stacking shoulders, which are supported in the case of stacked, empty packaging containers 1 on the opening-side container edge 4 of the packaging container 1 underneath. This prevents the stacked packaging containers 1 from jamming, so that they can be easily detached from one another before they are fed to a filling station. In addition, the edge of the cutouts 52-55, which is parallel to the opening edge 4 of the packaging container 1, is supported on these stacking shoulders, so that the positive fastening of the outer container 5 to the inner container 6 is improved.

The packaging container can be sealed airtight by sealing a sealing film (not shown) onto the container edge 4. In addition, a closure cover can be provided which engages over the hollow edge 46.
