Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an arrangement for ground connection to an internal lightning protection system in land, water and aircraft. It can be used to a large extent for the effective connection to metal installations and other earthed parts of electrical engineering systems to ensure lightning protection equipotential bonding inside.
It is known that an external lightning protection system alone cannot prevent lightning protection from causing damage to the electrotechnical or electronic equipment inside buildings or vehicles. Measures against the effects of lightning current and its magnetic and electrical fields on metal installations and electrical systems are necessary. The most important measure to avoid thunderstorm damage is lightning protection equipotential bonding. This includes the connection of the lightning protection systems with metallic pipelines as well as with earthing systems, if necessary via isolating spark gaps, and other earthed parts of electrical engineering systems.
Various solutions are known which implement a ground connection or connection to lightning protection systems. Usually such conductive connections are placed on metal clamps, which are attached to the metal installations in a suitable form. Solutions are also known in which, for example, an end housing, into which a conductive protective hose connection is introduced, is incorporated into the ground connection of an existing lightning protection system by means of a metal pipe clamp attached to a sleeve. The conductive connection to the primary structure of the lightning protection system is ensured here by a screw fastening between a cable lug, to which an electrical conductor is connected, and a metal clamp. The inclusion of a divided hose connection in the protective measure can also be realized by means of a connector and a sleeve, a pipe clamp being attached to the sleeve and the connection to the primary structure already described taking place. This common connection technology for connecting to internal lightning protection systems has the disadvantage that additional contact resistance occurs in the event of a fault due to the mechanical and electrical connection between the sleeve and the pipe clamp, there is unnecessary corrosion penetration of the clamp and an additional material expenditure occurs due to the clamp.
Accordingly, the invention has for its object to provide a generic arrangement such that it can be used to implement a reliable ground connection with low contact resistance to a primary structure of lightning protection systems. This connection should reduce weight and reduce corrosion.
This object is achieved in a generic arrangement by the characterizing features of

The main advantage of the arrangement according to the invention is that with the elimination of a clamp that is traditionally used for protection or ground connections, a reliable ground connection with low contact resistance to the primary structure of a lightning protection system can be realized. The reduction in weight with a simultaneous reduction in material while excluding the infiltration of metal clamps also has an advantageous effect in the arrangement according to the invention.

The arrangement according to the invention will be explained in more detail using a first exemplary embodiment. 1 shows an
