Abstract

The invention relates to a method for sorting refuse and a device operating in such a manner that the wastes supplied in a continuous conveyed stream are exposed to the circumferential surface (7), partly acted on by suction air, of an essentially horizontally mounted rotating screening drum (1) and, owing to their differing weight, are separated out of the conveyed stream, partly adhering to the circumferential surface (7). The object is for said method and device, with low constructional outlay, to conform to practice insofar as the conveyed stream containing the unsorted wastes passes, at an end face (2) of the rotating screening drum (1), into the inner chamber (4) thereof and migrates through the latter at low velocity on the drum bottom (5), as far as the other end face (6) of the screening drum (1), a proportion of the wastes being carried along on the inside of the circumferential surface (7) which, in its upwardly rotating region, is subject to the action of suction air (8) from the outside, as far as the apex of the screening drum (8), to fall down there at the end of the suction air region onto a conveying means (10) which extends within the screening drum and conveys out the wastes in the axial direction thereof, whereas the waste proportions which at first remain on the drum bottom leave the screening drum at the discharge side under the effect of gravity. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a method for sorting waste and to a device for carrying out this method, in which the waste delivered in a closed conveying stream is exposed to a partially horizontally mounted rotating screen drum of the jacket surface partially exposed to suction air and, due to its different weight, adheres in part from the jacket surface - Flow rate to be eliminated.

Waste sorting that works in this way has been proposed in DE 37 26 808 A1. Here, the garbage to be sorted is fed into a vertical chute via a loading belt, where it is pressed against the outside of the outer surface of a rotating sieve drum by means of a blown air stream, the interior of which is connected to the suction side of a blower. As a result, above all flat waste parts for separation from the flow are to get caught on the drum wall and be adhered to it, while heavier physical objects leave the chute downwards. Such a procedure may be suitable if the waste parts to be sorted are delivered relatively individually in a very loose material flow, but this does not correspond to the actual circumstances in waste disposal companies. Rather, in order to achieve high throughput rates, it is customary for the waste to be piled up as high as possible on the feed conveyor, as a result of which the lighter components would be pulled downwards by the heavier ones in the chute and would therefore have no possibility of accessing the drum casing under suction reach. It is therefore not to be expected that this known sorting of rubbish will work satisfactorily in practical operation.

In view of the explained prior art, the object of the invention is to provide a method for sorting waste and a device therefor, which better take into account practical requirements and thus make it possible to successfully separate lighter waste parts from a closed delivery flow. In addition, the sorting device should make do with less construction work than the older construction.

The solution to the problem arises from the claims. As a result of the features of the invention contained therein, it is now possible in a satisfactory manner to completely remove, in particular, flat parts such as foils, blisters, plastic bags and the like from a heaped waste stream and to remove them on a separate conveying path. As a result, the rest of the sorted material, which then mainly consists of just some containers, becomes more manageable and can then be further processed more easily.

An embodiment of the invention is described below with reference to the drawings. The following show:
  • Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a device working according to the inventive method and
  • Fig. 2 is the discharge-side end view of the sorting drum shown in Fig. 1.

The main component of the schematically represented waste treatment plant is formed by a sieve drum 1 which is open on both end faces and which is mounted inclined to the horizontal and is set in slow revolutions in the direction of the arrow by a suitable drive motor. A feed conveyor 3 projects into its upper open end face 2 and throws the garbage to be sorted into the interior 4 of the screening drum 1. There it first arrives at the drum base 5, in order to then travel at low speed to the lower open end face 6 at a low speed due to the rotational movements of the sieve drum 1 and its preferably 4 ° inclination and / or its frustoconical configuration.

During the movement of the material flow in the interior 4 of the screen drum 1, the wastes composed of the most diverse constituents are constantly rearranged, so that they must inevitably come into contact with the outer surface 7 of the screen drum 1 one after the other. The perforated or consisting of a mesh fabric 7 is in the upward rotating area of the screen drum 1 under the action of arranged on its corresponding long side air intake nozzles 8, whereby all lighter and in particular flat waste parts on the inside of the outer surface 7 to stick and from this be taken upstairs. In order to support the separation process that results in the material flow, blowing air nozzles 9, which are provided just above the drum base 5 and are directed toward the upwardly rotating region of the sieve drum 1, can also be used.

Dieser Längsförderer 10 führt aus der unteren offenen Stirnseite 6 der Siebtrommel 1 heraus und bildet somit den vom ursprünglichen Materialstrom abgetrennten Förderanteil A.When the waste parts adhering to the lateral surface 7 have reached the apex of the sieve drum 1, they leave the area of influence of the air intake nozzles 8, then detach from the drum wall and fall onto a longitudinal conveyor 10 located in the interior 4 of the sieve drum 1. This longitudinal conveyor 10 leads out of the lower open end face 6 of the screening drum 1 and thus forms the conveying component A separated from the original material flow.

All heavier and therefore not adhering to the lateral surface 7, such as mainly physical waste parts remain on the drum base 5 until they leave the sieve drum 1 under the influence of gravity through its lower open end face 6. This conveying component B is taken over by a sorting belt 11 running below the end face 6 and can now either be read by hand on it or else be fed to another further treatment.

Due to the relatively long dwell time and the multiple circulation of the material flow in the sieve drum 1, its perfect separation into the feed shares A and B is guaranteed. In addition to the angle of inclination of the sieve drum 1 and its number of revolutions, the suction power of the air intake nozzles 8 is decisive, but regulating them does not pose any difficulties either.
