Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for sorting waste and to a device for carrying out this method, in which the waste delivered in a closed conveying stream is exposed to a partially horizontally mounted rotating screen drum of the jacket surface partially exposed to suction air and, due to its different weight, adheres in part from the jacket surface - Flow rate to be eliminated.
Waste sorting that works in this way has been proposed in DE 37 26 808 A1. Here, the garbage to be sorted is fed into a vertical chute via a loading belt, where it is pressed against the outside of the outer surface of a rotating sieve drum by means of a blown air stream, the interior of which is connected to the suction side of a blower. As a result, above all flat waste parts for separation from the flow are to get caught on the drum wall and be adhered to it, while heavier physical objects leave the chute downwards. Such a procedure may be suitable if the waste parts to be sorted are delivered relatively individually in a very loose material flow, but this does not correspond to the actual circumstances in waste disposal companies. Rather, in order to achieve high throughput rates, it is customary for the waste to be piled up as high as possible on the feed conveyor, as a result of which the lighter components would be pulled downwards by the heavier ones in the chute and would therefore have no possibility of accessing the drum casing under suction reach. It is therefore not to be expected that this known sorting of rubbish will work satisfactorily in practical operation.
In view of the explained prior art, the object of the invention is to provide a method for sorting waste and a device therefor, which better take into account practical requirements and thus make it possible to successfully separate lighter waste parts from a closed delivery flow. In addition, the sorting device should make do with less construction work than the older construction.
The solution to the problem arises from the claims. As a result of the features of the invention contained therein, it is now possible in a satisfactory manner to completely remove, in particular, flat parts such as foils, blisters, plastic bags and the like from a heaped waste stream and to remove them on a separate conveying path. As a result, the rest of the sorted material, which then mainly consists of just some containers, becomes more manageable and can then be further processed more easily.
- Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a device working according to the inventive method and
- Fig. 2 is the discharge-side end view of the sorting drum shown in Fig. 1.
The main component of the schematically represented waste treatment plant is formed by a sieve drum 1 which is open on both end faces and which is mounted inclined to the horizontal and is set in slow revolutions in the direction of the arrow by a suitable drive motor. A
During the movement of the material flow in the
All heavier and therefore not adhering to the
Due to the relatively long dwell time and the multiple circulation of the material flow in the sieve drum 1, its perfect separation into the feed shares A and B is guaranteed. In addition to the angle of inclination of the sieve drum 1 and its number of revolutions, the suction power of the
