Abstract

The invention relates to a photograph folder, preferably made from paper, especially for dispatching undeveloped photographic stock or negatives, for reordering prints from a development laboratory and for returning the photographic prints and developed negatives by the development laboratory, having a preferably relatively larger folder compartment (2) for photographic prints or undeveloped photographic stock, having a preferably relatively smaller folder compartment (3) for developed negatives, especially for negative film strips, and having a (folding) lid (5) which covers the insertion apertures of the folder compartments. The known dispatch system using a photograph folder of the generic type and an outer bag for the insertion of the photograph folder causes certain problems in practice, especially the quantity of packaging waste produced and the possibility of confusing the outer bags when the photograph folder containing the photographic stock is rebagged in an outer bag at the development laboratory. The object of the invention is therefore to provide a photograph folder of the type referred to initially in which the stated disadvantages do not arise. The object is achieved, according to the invention, in that the lid (5) of the photograph folder can be fixed in the closed position without the use of an outer bag. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a picture bag, preferably made of paper, in particular for sending undeveloped photo material or negatives for reordering prints to a development laboratory and for returning the photo prints and developed negatives by the development laboratory, preferably with a relatively larger bag department for photo prints or undeveloped photo material , with a preferably relatively smaller pocket section for developed negatives, in particular for negative film strips, and with a (hinged) cover covering the insertion openings of the pocket sections.

An owner of a camera who does not have his own photo laboratory himself, i.e. the normal customer of a photo shop, delivers his exposed but still undeveloped film to a photo shop or photo department. The film is then usually forwarded to a central photo laboratory, and after a relatively short time the developed negatives and the paper photo prints made by the negatives are ready for collection by the customer at his photo shop or the photo department. The shipping of the unexposed film, from negatives to the reordering of photo prints or slides for the production of photo paper prints from the photo shop or the photo department to the central laboratory is done in special packaging. This currently consists of a generic picture bag mentioned at the beginning and also a closable envelope bag into which this picture bag is inserted. The packing of the material for shipping to the central development laboratory is carried out either by an employee in the photo shop or by the customer himself. For this purpose, the unexposed photo material, for example a film cartridge, is placed in the packaging, either in the envelope bag, with the picture bag in the envelope bag is included, or in the picture bag, which is then inserted into the envelope bag. Negatives for reordering photo prints are usually inserted into a pocket section of the photo bag. The picture bag is then inserted into the envelope bag.

Then the envelope bag is closed, mostly like a postal envelope, and mostly taped shut. There is usually a pick-up card on one edge of the envelope bag, which the customer can tear off. There is a control number on this pick-up card, which can be found identically on the rest of the envelope bag. The address of the customer can be noted on the envelope bag itself, for example the date and the name of the customer on the collection badges. Information on the reordering of photo prints, for which negatives and how many prints are reordered, can usually be noted in a space provided on the envelope bag.

The undeveloped film material or the negative material for reordering is taken from the envelope bag and picture bag by the development laboratory, usually by hand. The desired work is then carried out. Then the photo prints and the material are sorted, also by hand, into the picture bag, namely the designated bag departments, and the picture bag is pushed back into the envelope bag. This is taped up again. This is how the material is returned to the photo shop. There, the envelope bags are usually sorted alphabetically, so that the customer can find his envelope bag, for example in self-service, and can check the film material after opening the envelope bag. The envelope is often sealed by the development laboratory by sticking on a price label strip.

New envelope bags and picture bags for use in customer films are usually sent from the central development laboratories to the photo shops and photo departments, i.e. the customers of the development laboratory. For this purpose, a new picture bag is pushed into a new envelope bag, usually by machine, and a package of such envelope bags is sent.

The described shipping system with picture bags and envelope bags poses some problems in practice.

The envelope bag and the picture bag are mostly made of paper. The material is therefore relatively easy to dispose of. Nevertheless, an unsatisfactory amount falls with this system Rubbish. It would be desirable to make savings on the packaging to reduce the amount of packaging waste. This is particularly so with regard to a possible obligation to take back packaging from those who place the packaging on the market. Due to such a take-back obligation, it could happen that customers leave the packaging in the photo shop after taking the film material or return it to the photo shop.

Another problem with the conventional shipping system is that the removal of the film material, in particular the removal of the picture bag from the envelope bag, takes place by hand in the development laboratory, as well as the re-bagging of the picture bag into the envelope bag together with the picture material produced by the laboratory. These packaging steps are relatively time-consuming and also costly for the development laboratory, since special employees must be provided for this. For these employees, the job is also relatively monotonous and uninteresting.

In addition, when the image bag containing the image material is re-bagged in an envelope bag in the development laboratory, the image bag may be put in a wrong envelope bag, that is, in the envelope bag of another customer who does not own the image material in the image bag. Such confusion will only be noticed by the customer when collecting the pictures. The customer can then complain about incorrect payment. However, it is extremely difficult to find this customer's own images, which are themselves is also in a wrong envelope bag. The difficulty of finding them is so great because a central development laboratory works for a wide variety of photo shops and photo departments, which can be very widely spread regionally. There is usually no direct business relationship between the photo shops or photo departments themselves.

The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a picture bag of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the disadvantages described above are eliminated.

The object is achieved in that the lid of the picture bag can be fixed in the closed position.

This seemingly simple measure offers surprisingly many advantages. In particular, the disadvantages described above can be avoided by this measure. Since the picture bag according to the invention has a fixable lid, a separate envelope bag can be dispensed with entirely. The shipment of material to the development laboratory, as well as the return of the developed material from the laboratory, can only take place in the picture bag according to the invention, which can be closed in such a way that no picture material can fall out, and thus has been redesigned according to the invention from an inner packaging to a shipping packaging.

This automatically reduces the amount of packaging waste. The manual steps of removing the picture bag from the envelope bag and re-bagging the picture bag in the development laboratory can also be advantageous are eliminated so that the development laboratory can work in a time and cost-reduced manner. In addition, this new system has the advantage that there can be no more confusion when re-bagging, since the re-bagging is no longer necessary.

Pictorial designs desired by the individual photo shops and photo departments, which refer to the individual shop as advertised, can also be printed on the picture bag according to the invention, since the picture bag offers sufficient areas for this. The identifiers, machine codes and also tables or the like previously arranged on the envelope bag for noting reordering data and the like can also be applied directly to the picture pocket, for example on the rear wall.

The dimensions of the picture bag according to the invention can approximately match that of the conventional picture bag. However, it can also be made somewhat larger, for example approximately as large as the conventional envelope bag, although preferably shortened somewhat. It is also conceivable to select a portrait format of the picture pocket instead of the conventional longitudinal format, so that the pocket sections are made correspondingly deep.

A preferred embodiment of the picture bag provides that a tongue-shaped area on the cover or the cover for fixing the cover in the closed position can be inserted into an insertion opening, preferably an insertion pocket.

With such a fixability according to the invention The lid ensures a secure closure of the picture bag according to the invention, without the picture bag according to the invention being particularly expensive for this purpose. According to another development of the invention, a separate, additional closure element can also be provided for fixing the cover, in a preferred embodiment an area provided with adhesive. With the help of the adhesive area, which is preferably arranged on the inside of the lid, the picture bag according to the invention can be sealed for shipping. An adhesive is preferably used which allows the bag to be opened and re-glued easily. In particular, a plurality of adhesive areas can also be provided, for example one closer to the free edge of the lid and an area closer to the insertion openings of the pocket departments in order to secure them separately. As an alternative or in addition, an adhesive strip, for example a price label, can also be provided for fixing the lid, adhesive areas and adhesive strips also being combined with the additional closure of a tongue and insertion opening can be.

A further development of the invention provides that the picture pocket has a separable or tearable, preferably with a weakening line (perforation) which weakens the material of the picture pocket and is preferably designed as a pick-up pass. The separating section is preferably part of the cover, for example a region of the free edge of the cover or a corner region of the cover. In particular, an area of the lid could be separated as a separating section, which contributes to the tapering of the free end of the lid, so that it can then be inserted into an intended insertion opening.

A next development of the invention, for which independent protection is also claimed, provides that the two pocket compartments are formed flat adjacent to one another with mutually adjacent insertion openings and that the cover is designed as a hinged cover and is arranged such that the insertion openings of the pocket compartments to the hinged joint of the Show cover. Material introduced into the pocket compartments is particularly well secured against falling out if, in addition, the insertion openings of the pocket compartments are (almost) immediately adjacent to the folding joint.

A next development of the invention, for which independent protection is also claimed, provides that the picture bag is folded from a (single) sheet. This allows a particularly simple and inexpensive production the picture bag with as little waste waste as possible. A specific blank of the picture pocket is punched out of a sheet, for example. This blank is then folded in a predetermined manner. Here, all elements of the picture bag can be formed, so that waste-problematic foreign substances can be eliminated. The picture bag can thus be made purely of paper, for example.

A preferred embodiment of such a folded picture bag provides that, after a first basic folding, the sheet is folded essentially W-shaped in cross-section or viewed from the end face, one of the outer legs being extended to a cover which can be folded over from above over the other leg , and that the two V-regions forming the W-shape are each formed by connecting their legs at the edges to the pocket departments.

With the help of such a W-fold both pocket compartments can be made flat and also the hinged lid. For the lateral closure of the pocket departments, the edge areas of the respective walls of the pocket departments have to be connected in pairs, which can be done for example by glue, seams or for example also by embossing. The two pocket departments do not necessarily have to be connected to each other, but can be attached to each other with more or less articulation.

In the aforementioned first basic convolution, the The elongated leg of the adjacent first V-area of the W-shape should be deeper than the adjoining second V-area, so that the first pocket section adjacent to the lid for the introduction of paper images is deeper than the second section, which is intended for film negative strips is. A suitable picture bag according to the invention would already be realized with this first basic folding. For further folding of the picture bag according to the invention, the V area adjacent to the lid can be made even deeper than it would actually be necessary to insert the pictures. Through this clever folding according to the invention, a very robust, firm insertion pocket is formed below the second, smaller pocket section, into which the free end of the hinged lid can be inserted. In the area of this insert pocket, the picture pocket is constructed in four layers, so that the picture pocket as a whole, especially when the cover is actually inserted into the insert pocket, receives a particularly high rigidity and strength, which can very well secure the material contained in the picture pocket against damage, in particular also against kinking.

A third fold can be provided to further solidify the picture bag according to the invention. For this purpose, the gable roof-shaped connection between the two V-areas forming the W-shape is constructed so that it projects beyond the free end of the second outer, lid-free leg by a ridge area. This ridge area is provided with a hinged joint running parallel to the ridge or to the free edge of the second outer leg, about which a tip area can be folded over as a partial area of the ridge area in the folding direction of the hinged lid in a third fold. The hinged joint of the ridge area preferably runs at such a distance from the ridge that the foldable tip area makes up more than half of the ridge area and can be folded over the second outer leg as an additional closure of the second V area.

A further development of the picture bag according to the invention provides that the sheet from which the picture bag is folded is tapered in the second, lid-free V area of the two V areas forming the W shape compared to the first V area having the lid, so that of the second V-area formed pocket section is shortened or narrowed compared to the first. This measure also saves additional material and leads to better, all-round embedding of the inside pocket pocket, which is inside when the hinged lid is closed. In addition, such a tapering of the base can be achieved by, for example, diagonally running edges of the arch, as seen with respect to the rear wall, which give the picture bag additional rigidity, in particular with regard to any shear forces.

In a preferred embodiment it can be provided that the second V region of the two V regions forming the W shape can be separated from the first V region along a predetermined weakening line (perforation). The film negative strips are usually housed in this pocket department. This bag can be torn off and archived separately, for example in a folder. Corresponding stitching holes can also be specified. In addition, the separated pocket department with the film negatives can be returned to the photo shop for a reordering of photos and, for example, first entered into the larger pocket department of a new picture pocket. A corresponding perforation for separating the pocket section can run, for example, along the hinged joint of the hinged tip area of the ridge area.

The advantages of the picture bag described above, which, in particular, can have the three special folds described, can also be realized if a picture bag is not folded from a single sheet, but rather such a picture bag is pieced together from appropriately cut sheet pieces that are glued together, for example. Such a picture bag would not have the sophistication of the preferred picture bag, but the protection of the picture bag according to the invention should also extend to such a deteriorated embodiment.

Another further development of the picture bag according to the invention provides that it is not assumed that the bag has a W basic shape, but first of all a single larger bag which, for example, could have a V or U shape in cross section. This large bag can be divided into two bag sections by inserting a partition. Basically, it should be noted in this connection that a picture bag according to the invention can of course also have more than two pocket departments. The described preferred forms of embodiment of the picture bag according to the invention can also be easily expanded by further pocket departments, for example by an accordion-like folding or by introducing several partition walls.

In the version of the picture bag according to the invention, which is subdivided into pocket compartments with a partition, this partition can be raised up to the area of the hinged lid by the previous embodiment to realize the described advantages of the third, bead-like folding in a different way.

The depth of the outer pocket section can be limited by providing a connecting line parallel to the upper opening edge, for example approximately in the middle of the outer wall, along which the outer wall is connected to the inner partition. Such a reduced depth is easily sufficient, for example, for the introduction of film negative strips. The separated lower area below the connecting line between the partition and the outer wall, which remains as a cavity, can, for example, advantageously be used as an insertion pocket for the hinged lid, for example by providing a slot-like insertion opening below the connecting line and parallel to it.

In this pocket version too, provision can be made to make the outer pocket compartment separable from the pocket compartment adjacent to the lid. For this purpose, for example, a separation perforation can run in two lines, which extend from the two ends of an insertion slot up to the insertion opening of the pocket department. So that the separated pocket department is still closed up to the insertion opening after the separation, a part of the partition must also be torn off. In order not to damage the remaining pocket compartment as a result, the dividing wall is formed in two layers in a preferred embodiment. This double layer also leads to an intact picture bag increased rigidity of the picture bag. The two layers of the dividing wall are generally not connected to one another so that there is a cavity inside the dividing wall, which can also be used as an insertion pocket, for example for the lid. The picture bag is preferably folded from a sheet of paper, so that two folded strips each form pocket sections of the picture bag, these pocket sections being closed at the edges, for example by gluing the folding strips.

Specifically, the picture bag according to the invention has a rear wall 1, an adjoining, relatively large pocket section 2 for the insertion of photo paper prints, undeveloped film material or the like, and then a relatively smaller second pocket section 3, in particular for the introduction of negative film strips. About a folding hinge folding line 4 adjoins the rear wall 1, a hinged lid 5, which can be folded over the pocket compartments 2, 3 to close the picture pocket, so that these are enclosed between the hinged lid 5 and the rear wall 1.

To close the picture pocket, adhesive areas 6, 7 are provided on the hinged cover 5, of which the first adhesive area 6 is in the vicinity of the free edge of the hinged cover 5 is located, while the second adhesive region 7 is arranged above the opening edges of the pocket sections 2, 3. The distance between the insertion openings 8, 9 and the hinged joint 4 is chosen to be as small as possible. The larger distance between the insertion opening 9 and the hinged joint 4 is preferably only about half as large as the depth of the smaller pocket section 3.

The hinged lid 5 has a detachable separating section 10 on its free edge, which can be detached, for example, as a pick-up pass. The separation takes place along a perforation line 11.

Perforation can also be provided along the edge of the opening of the insertion opening 8 so that the smaller pocket section 3 can be separated from the larger pocket section 2.

From FIG. 2 it can be seen in particular how the picture bag according to the invention is folded from a single sheet, this sheet being folded in a substantially W-shape. The outer surfaces of the hinged lid 5 and the rear wall 1 offer enough space for printing advertising, machine codes, address fields and the like.

3 and 4 show a second embodiment of a picture bag according to the invention, once in a perspective view and once in section. The same components, as in the other figures, are designated by the same reference numbers as in FIGS. 1 and 2.

In contrast to the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the picture bag according to FIGS. 3 and 4 is designed in portrait format. The insertion openings 8 and 9 of the pocket compartments 2 and 3 form a narrow side of the respective pocket compartments, so that the pocket compartments 2, 3 themselves get deeper.

Similar to the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, the picture pocket according to FIG. 3 also has adhesive areas, only adhesive areas 6 being indicated here. Adhesive areas 7 can also be present.

In the lower area, the pocket section 3 has a viewing window 12, which allows an insight into the pocket section 3 even when the picture pocket is closed, so that it is immediately noticed whether there is anything in this pocket, even if it is only a single negative. The viewing window 12 is designed as a simple hole, which can be closed with transparent material, for example through parchment pasted over from the inside.

It can be seen from the section according to FIG. 4 that the picture pocket according to FIG. 3 is designed somewhat differently than the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2. The hinged lid 5 or the third pocket 14 also has a separating section 10 in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 5. However, this cannot be arranged on the free edge area, since otherwise the pocket would also be opened on this side by tearing off the separating section. However, it would be conceivable not to allow the pocket to extend to the free edge area, but to arrange a closure seam at a distance from the free edge of the cover 5, which, for example, is parallel and at a certain distance in the direction of the folding joint 4 according to the perforation line 11 1 could run, so that the arrangement of a separating section 10 according to FIG. 1 would also be possible with the picture bag according to FIG. 5.

In the illustration of FIG. 5, however, a different route was chosen and the separating section 10 was arranged at the opening edge of the pocket 14. By tearing this separating section 10, the inner wall of the hinged lid 5 is only shortened. On the inside of the outer wall of the hinged lid 5, an adhesive area could be provided, which appears after the separating section has been torn off and allows the hinged lid to be fixed to the rest of the picture pocket and thus also causes the pocket 14 to be closed. It would also be conceivable to design the protrusion formed by the outer wall of the hinged lid 5 after the separating section 10 had been torn off, as a hinged lid which can be folded about the line 11 and which allows the pocket 14 to be closed separately with the aid of an appropriately arranged adhesive area.

The folding sheet shown in FIG. 7 first has a basic folding for forming the two pocket sections 2, 3, in which it is folded into a W-shape when viewed from the side, the outer leg of this W-shape forming the rear wall 1 is extended by the hinged lid 5. This first basic folding was followed by a second folding in which the lower tip area of the pocket department 2 has been folded up towards pocket compartment 3. By gluing this unfolding on the edge to the inner leg of the pocket department 2 facing away from the hinged lid 5, an insertion pocket 16 which is open at the top is formed between the lower region of the pocket department 2 and the unfolding.
