Description

The invention relates to a cooling device, in particular a household refrigerator with a cooling space enclosed by a heat-insulated housing and provided on the front side with a door opening, the temperature of which is obtained by forcibly circulating an air flow generated by a blower over an obscurely arranged in the cooling space behind an intermediate wall Evaporator is kept at least approximately constant.

Ein derartiges Kühlgerät ist aus der GB-A-950 091 bekannt.Such a cooling device is known from GB-A-950 091.

In household refrigerators of the type mentioned, the aim is to keep the temperature distribution in the individual compartments as constant as possible at the intended level in order to be able to store the usually perishable goods stored there over a long period of time without suffering any loss in quality.

In order to meet this requirement for uniform temperature distribution, large-area evaporators are used, which are arranged on the rear wall of the cooling space behind an intermediate wall. Particularly in the case of cooling devices with a relatively high cooling space, because of the cold air that accumulates here in the lower region due to the different density, one is forced to circulate it with a fan. But despite this forced circulation, it cannot be avoided that the air temperature in the upper door opening area of the refrigerator is significantly higher than in the lower rear area. This is particularly the case when the refrigerator is relatively high and is also divided by horizontal shelves arranged in different heights; in addition, if they are fully loaded with refrigerated goods and hinder air circulation.

The rise in temperature in the upper region of the cold store, which occurs particularly in this case despite complex devices for air circulation, can lead to the refrigerated goods stored there becoming prematurely unsightly and spoiling. If one tries to counter this disadvantage by cooling the circulating air more intensely, there is a risk that goods stored in the lower section of the cooling space become unusable due to freezing. If these are liquids stored in bottles or the like, they can be blown up by the increase in volume of the liquid which occurs during freezing.

The invention is therefore based on the object in a cooling device of the type described in more detail to design the air flow through the evaporator behind the partition wall in such a way that without loss of usable space even in a fully loaded one Condition of the device almost the same temperature level can be maintained everywhere.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the intermediate wall is provided on its side facing the cooling surface of the evaporator with air guide channels which emerge at different altitudes and, due to their different lengths and / or cross sections, each have a different heat exchange of the air flows guided therein on the cooling surface allow the evaporator.

This makes it possible to ensure a uniform air temperature even in the case of large-volume cold rooms which are divided several times in height, and thus to improve the storage conditions for the refrigerated goods.

According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, it is provided that the air guide channels are laterally delimited by ribs extending between the cooling surface and the side of the intermediate wall facing this, the thickness of which corresponds at least approximately to the distance of the evaporator to the intermediate wall.

If you make sure that the fins lie close to the cooling surface with their burr, the air flows guided in the ducts are sufficiently separated from one another.

Particularly favorable conditions can be achieved if, according to a further advantageous embodiment of the object of the invention, it is provided that at least three air guide channels, starting from the upper center of the intermediate wall and the suction opening of the fan located there extend fan-like downward on the rear wall thereof, the outer ones being deflected upward, approximately in the lower third of the intermediate wall, so that their outlet openings are at the top, while the intermediate air duct extends to the lower edge of the intermediate wall extends.

In order to be able to exactly maintain the prescribed storage temperature even in the particularly critical upper area of the cold store near the door, according to a further advantageous embodiment of the subject matter of the invention it is provided that the intermediate wall is provided in its upper area with projections which extend forward to the door opening, into which the outlet openings of the air ducts on top open.

The invention is explained in the following description with reference to the attached drawing. Show it:

A cooling device 10 designed as a multi-temperature refrigerator has its heat-insulated in the middle section Housing 11 a on the front side with a door 12 lockable cooling compartment 13. The door 12 hinged to the side of the door opening on the housing 11 is provided on its inside with protruding storage compartments 14 which are arranged one above the other and serve to hold small-sized items to be refrigerated.

Inside the cooling compartment 13 is in the rear wall of the heat-insulated housing 11, a flat evaporator 15 in the form of a so-called cold wall evaporator, which is arranged in the upper region of the cooling compartment 13 and extending to approximately the lower third of its full height, approximately occupies its full width. Near the upper edge of the evaporator 15, a niche 16 is arranged in the middle of the cooling compartment 13 - just below its ceiling - into which the drive motor 17 of a fan equipped with a fan wheel 18 is recessed.

The fan formed from the drive motor 17 and the fan 18 is, like the evaporator 15, covered by an intermediate wall 20 which occupies the full width of the rear wall of the cooling compartment and from the ceiling down to the level of the lower edge of the evaporator 15 extends. This intermediate wall 20 is provided on its side facing the cooling surface of the evaporator 15 with air guiding channels 21 and 22, which emerge at different altitudes and, due to their different lengths and cross sections, allow different heat exchange between the air flow guided therein and the cooling surface of the evaporator 15. The air channels 21 and 22 are laterally delimited by ribs 23 which run on the rear side of the intermediate wall 20 and the thickness of which is dimensioned such that they distance the evaporator 15 from the rear of the intermediate wall 20 correspond so that they fit tightly with their burr against the rear wall of the heat-insulated housing 11 in the assembled state.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the air channels 21 and 22 delimited by the ribs 23 extend, starting from a suction opening 25 provided in the upper center of the intermediate wall 20 and surrounded by a collar-like extension 24 enveloping the fan wheel 18, the two lying on the outside Air channels 21 are deflected upwards by a corresponding curvature of the ribs 23 delimiting them in the lower third of the intermediate wall 20, so that their outlet openings 26 lie laterally above, while the air channel 22 in between exits at the lower edge of the intermediate wall 20.

The intermediate wall 20 is provided in its upper region with projections 27 which extend forwardly in the vicinity of the door opening of the cooling space 13 and which rest on the side walls of the cooling space 13 with angled edges 28. With their angled edges, these lugs 27 form air ducts into which the outlet openings 26 of the outer air ducts 21 open at the top. With the aid of this air duct, the partial air flow circulated by the blower through the outer channels 21 and cooled on the evaporator 13 is guided into the vicinity of the door opening.

In the lower third of the cooling compartment 13 there is a pull-out drawer 30 which is arranged at a distance from the bottom of the housing 11 and whose dimensions are selected such that a continuous air duct 31 is created on its rear wall and bottom as well as on its front side. which forms a continuation of the air duct 22 emerging at the lower edge of the intermediate wall 20. The top opening of the drawer 30 is provided with a cover 32, which has a moisture filter, not shown.

Die rückwärtige Kante der Tragplatte 33 liegt dagegen in Höhe des unteren Randes des Verdampfers 15 bzw. der Abdeckung 20.With a slight clearance allowing a slight air flow, a support plate 33, supported on the side walls of the cooling compartment 13, is arranged above the cover 32 of the drawer 30, the front edge of which lies above the front edge of the drawer and, like this, is also at a corresponding distance from the inside of the closed one Door 12 runs so that there remains a passage opening, the cross section of which corresponds approximately to that of the air duct 31 guided around the drawer 15. In contrast, the rear edge of the support plate 33 lies at the level of the lower edge of the evaporator 15 or the cover 20.

Above the support plate 33, three further support plates 34 are arranged at approximately the same intervals one above the other in different storage levels. The uppermost support plate 34 is located directly below the lower edge of the side lugs 26 on the intermediate wall 20, approximately at the same height as the uppermost storage compartment 14. Its front edge is set back in relation to this, so that when the door 12 is closed, between the outer edge of the storage compartment 14 and the support plate 33, a gap remains which extends almost over the entire width of the cooling space and allows unimpeded circulation of the cooling air.

With the arrangement and configuration of the partition wall 22 described, it is possible to achieve a largely uniform temperature distribution in all zones of the cooling space. By appropriately arranging and guiding the ribs 23, it is possible to influence the temperature of the air flows directed through the channels delimited by them by changing the heat transfer on the heat exchange surface. This can be done both by changing the length of the channels and their width and not least by the flow velocity of the air in the channels that can be influenced thereby.
