Definitions

  • the invention relates to a support for a mattress, a seat cushion, a backrest cushion or the like, in particular for orthopedic purposes, made of a flat foam mat which is smooth on the back and has a profile layer with projections on the front, the foam used having a density of 30, 35 and 40 kg / m ⁇ 3 has.
  • Such a support is spread with its profile layer facing outwards, that is to say to the side on which the person rests or leans, on a mattress, a seat cushion, an armrest cushion or the like.
  • the overlay lies between the mattress or the like on the one hand and the user on the other and turns its profile layer towards the user.
  • a support for a mattress according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from US-A 4 955 096.
  • This support has conical projections in its lower and upper end area, with projections extending in the longitudinal direction in the central area.
  • FR-A 2 504 791 and EP-A 0 292 591 show mattress toppers with projections, the projections having different cross-sectional contours.
  • the object of the invention is to design such a support so that the most uniform possible selective pressure distribution can be achieved.
  • the invention solves this problem in that the profile layer has, due to the geometry, half the density of the foam used, that the foam used is open-pore and that the compression hardness of the foam used is 30 kg / m ⁇ 3 34 kPa / 40%, with a weight of 35 kg / m ⁇ 3 is 37 kPa / 40% and for density 40 kg / m ⁇ 3 is 42 kPa / 40% (compression hardness defined according to DIN 53577).
  • the invention achieves a requirement that optimally meets the requirements of the latest orthopedic findings, by means of which, in the case of the mattress, an excellent relief of the spine and possibilities for regeneration the spine are achievable. This, in turn, can generally achieve better relaxation and promote relaxation and sleep.
  • the orthopedic advantages of seat cushions and armrest cushions are due to the even, selective pressure distribution.
  • the three support types corresponding to the three specified weights and the associated compression hardnesses can cover the various body weights of the users in question, namely light-weight people with the lowest weight, medium-weight people with medium weight and heavy people with the large density.
  • the projections of the profile layer can be dimensioned differently according to the expected regional loads. However, this then requires the user to have an appropriate usage instruction for orienting his position. This is avoided in a further development of the invention, which is characterized in that the foam mat measured over the protrusions of the profile layer is equally thick everywhere, that the profile layer measured over its protrusions is equally thick everywhere, and that the profile layer is evenly distributed over the entire surface , rounded cones.
  • the foam mat is advantageously 7 to 12 cm, preferably 7 cm thick.
  • a preferred embodiment of a support has a profile layer that is 4 to 5 cm, preferably 4.5 cm thick is and the cone are all the same size and arranged in rows and rows.
  • the arrangement of the cones on a gap like the black fields of a chess board is recommended.
  • the cones of the profile layer have the negative shape of the gaps left between the cones.
  • a cone has the base of a square rounded at the corners and is oriented with the square diagonal in the direction of the checkerboard diagonal.
  • 1 generally designates a support for a mattress, a seat cushion, an armrest cushion or the like, which has a profile layer 2 on its front side and consists of foam.
  • the foam used has a density of 35 kg / cm ⁇ 3 and a compression hardness of 37 kPa / 40% in the illustrated embodiment.
  • the foam used is open-pore polyurethane foam.
  • This edition is intended for medium-weight adults.
  • the density is 30 kg / cm ⁇ 3 and the compression hardness is 34 kPa / 40% and for heavy people, the density is 40 kg / cm ⁇ 3 and the compression hardness is 42 kPa / 40%.
  • the profile layer 2 is formed by conical projections 3 to 9.
  • the support 1, measured over the projections 3 to 9, is equally strong everywhere according to the double arrow 10.
  • the projections 3 to 9 are rounded cones, which are evenly distributed over the entire surface .
  • the support 1 is 7 cm thick, the profile layer is 4.5 cm thick according to the double arrow 11.
  • the cones 3 to 9 of the profile layer are all of the same size and are arranged in rows and rows, with a gap like the black ones A chessboard fields.
  • the distance between two adjacent cones is 5 cm according to the double arrows 19 and 20.
  • the cone tips are denoted by K and the valley bottoms between the cones by T.
  • the cones of the profile layer fit into the negative shape of the gaps left between the cones.
  • the cones can be circular cones, but are preferably cones with the base of a square rounded at the corners, which are arranged with their square diagonal 12 in the direction of the checkerboard diagonal 13, as can be seen from FIG. 4.
  • apex angle 17 of a coaxial conical section In the direction of the square diagonals 12 there is a largest apex angle 17 of a coaxial conical section, the section plane of which is thus spanned by the square diagonal 12 and the cone axis.
  • This largest apex angle 17 is 50 to 60 °, preferably about 1/6 of the full circle, namely 60 °.
  • This smallest tip angle 16 is 35 to 55 °, preferably about 1/8 of the full circle, that is 45 °.
  • the support is 7 cm thick and the profile layer 4 cm thick. In another preferred modification of the illustrated embodiment, the support is 12 cm thick and the profile layer 4 cm thick.
