Abstract

The invention relates to a drive device for driving pump units, which are used for paint-spraying. The drive device comprises a pneumatic drive motor 1 having a piston 2 which can move reciprocatingly in a cylinder 3. Fastened to the piston 2 are pump tappets 4 to 6, which in their turn are coupled with the pump units. Antriebsvorrichtungen der oben beschriebenen Art werden insbesondere zum Antrieb von Farbspritzen verwendet. Der beschriebene Luftmotor ist in seinem Aufbau besonders einfach und wartungsfreundlich, so daß seine Verwendung zum Antrieb eines Pumpenaggregates vielfältige Vorteile bringt. Der Nachteil eines derartigen Luftmotors liegt darin, daß die an dem Kolben befestigte Kolbenstange mit einer Einrichtung verbunden werden muß, welche es gestattet, mehrere Farbspritzpumpenaggregate gleichzeitig und synchron zu betätigen. Es wurde deshalb bisher an die Kolbenstange ein Joch angekoppelt, welches mit einzelnen Pumpenstößeln verbunden war, welche wiederum den jeweiligen Pumpenaggregaten zugeordnet waren. Dieser relativ komplizierte mechanische Aufbau führt zu dem Nachteil, daß die einzelnen Pumpenstößel ebenso wie die Kolbenstange außerhalb des Luftmotors geführt werden müssen. Hieraus ergibt sich eine relativ große Baulänge, weiterhin erfordert diese Ausgestaltung einen erheblichen konstruktiven Aufwand. Die vergrößerte Baulänge der gesamten Antriebsvorrichtung führt weiterhin zu dem Nachteil, daß sowohl die Kolbenstange als auch die einzelnen Pumpenstößel sehr stark auf Kippen beansprucht sind. Diese Beanspruchung tritt insbesondere dann auf, wenn eine der mehreren Pumpenaggregate ausfällt, da die unterschiedliche Druckbelastung zu einer unterschiedlichen Krafteinleitung auf das Joch führt. Die Kippbeanspruchung führt wiederum zu einer verstärkten Belastung der Lagerteile, Dichtungen, und ähnlichem, wodurch der Verschleiß erheblich verstärkt wird.Drive devices of the type described above are used in particular for driving paint sprayers.
