Das Installationsgehäuse, insbesondere für die Gebäudesystemtechnik, weist zwischen gegebenenfalls nicht ausreichend verbundenen Wänden ein Formteil mit zumindest einer Klemmlippe auf, das zwischen den Wänden einführbar ist. In zumindest einer Spannebene, in der gegenüberliegende Greiflaschen der Wände durch diese hintergreifende Arme des Formteils verspannt werden, ist durch Führungsmittel an Formteil und Wänden das Formteil gegen Verkippen gesichert. Es erfüllt in sich ergänzender Weise drei Funktionen, nämlich Verspannen, Verklemmen einer Leitung und Führen gegen Verkippen. Durch das Verspannen erübrigen sich in diesem Bereich Verspannungsmittel herkömmlicher Art, wie Nieten, Verschraubungen oder Verkleben. Außerdem ist im Bereich des zugentlastenden Formteils ein Ausbiegen der Wände infolge der Zugentlastung vermieden. Verständlicherweise kann man das Formteil auch nur mit der Absicht verwenden, ein Gehäuse mit seinem Deckel zu verspannen, ohne eine Zugentlastung vorzusehen.
