Abstract

A description is given of a camshaft, the cams (2) of which are connected frictionally and positively to the shaft (1) by expanding the shaft. In the region of the cam tip (2a), the cam has a groove (5) which starts from the through-hole in the shaft and merges into an opening (8) of greater width (b), the contour of which is similar to the outer contour of the cam tip (2a). By means of this configuration, large jumps in stiffness, which would cause impermissibly high deformation gradients of the shaft, are avoided.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine zusammengesetzte Nockenwelle, deren eine Wellendurchgangsbohrung aufweisende Nocken zumindest eine von der Durchgangsbohrung ausgehende Nut aufweisen und die durch Aufweiten der Welle kraftschlüssig und formschlüssig mit der Welle verbunden sind.The invention relates to a composite camshaft, the cams of which have a shaft through bore and have at least one groove extending from the through bore and which are connected to the shaft in a non-positive and positive manner by expanding the shaft.

Eine derartige Nockenwelle ist aus der DE 34 01 057 C2 bekannt. Hierbei hat sich gezeigt, daß aufgrund der extremen Steifigkeitssprünge im Übergangsbereich zwischen der Kontur der Durchgangsbohrung sowie der daneben liegenden Nut beim Aufweiten der Hohlwelle unbefriedigende Ergebnisse erzielt werden. Zwar ist es erwünscht, zur Erzielung der kraftschlüssigen Verbindung den Wellenkörper nicht nur elastisch, sondern auch plastisch zu verformen, jedoch können sich beim bekannten Stand der Technik im oben genannten Übergangsbereich unzulässig hohe Verformungen des Wellenmaterials einstellen.Such a camshaft is known from DE 34 01 057 C2. Die Nut 5 sowie der Durchbruch 8 bilden somit im Übergangsbereich 6 des Nockens 2 einen Hinterschnitt, der den Steifigkeitssprung in diesem Bereich erheblich herabsetzt. In diesem Übergangsbereich 6 wird somit beim Aufweiten der Hohlwelle 1 auch der Nocken 2 geringfügig plastisch verformt. Gleichzeitig vergleichmäßigt diese Konfiguration vorteilhafterweise die im Nocken 2 auftretende Spannungsverteilung.
