Description

The invention relates to an overhead door, in particular for garages, with a door leaf which is guided in guide rails arranged approximately parallel to the frame side regions by means of rollers in the lower side edge region of the door leaf and via rigid links pivotably connected at one end to the two side regions thereof are articulated with their other ends in the associated upper frame side area.

Solch ein Überkopftor ist aus der DE-U-8715917 bekannt.Such an overhead door is known from DE-U-8715917.

In the case of a rigid pair of handlebars, one end of which is mounted so that it can be pivoted in the respective upper frame corners and the other end is pivotably mounted approximately in the middle of the height on both sides of the one-piece door leaf, this leads together with the guidance of rollers arranged in the lower corner regions of the door leaf in approximately vertically running guide rails to a trajectory of the upper edge of the door leaf, which rises somewhat from the closed position and is then strongly curved downwards towards the end in the open position.

The door leaves, which have been guided in this way in the lower edge region in vertical guide rails and a pair of rigid links, tend to swing, since this construction is relatively unstable. This also applies in the event that the two rigid links are supported on the frame with the aid of compression springs, which compression springs are accommodated in telescoping tubes or designed as gas springs could be.

It is also known - DE 30 14 414 C2 - to guide the door leaf in the lower lateral edges via rollers in vertical guide rails and with respect to the upper side edge in the closed position via rollers in horizontal guide rails. Here, too, swivel levers in the manner of handlebars are rotatably mounted in the two lateral central height regions of the door leaf on the one hand and in the respectively assigned upper frame corner on the other hand, which are each supported on the frame frame with the aid of a gas spring, in order thus to introduce a weight-balancing force into the door leaf. The resulting trajectory, for example of the door leaf center area, on which the pivot levers act, does not run around a circular path around the pivot points of the pivot levers fixed to the frame, which is why these pivot levers must be designed as variable-length links. Such a construction is relatively expensive.

If one wanted to stabilize the movement of a door leaf of an overhead door of the type mentioned at the outset with a rigid pair of handlebars and only guided in vertical rails in the lower edge area, one would have to rigidly arrange the rollers in addition to the installation of horizontal guide rails and correspondingly in the upper edge area of the door leaf Replace handlebars with such a variable-length design. Such a retrofit is not only expensive to manufacture in terms of the length-variable design of the handlebars, but also complicated to assemble due to the necessary exchange of the handlebar pairs.

The invention is based, on the one hand in a vertical guide rails with respect to its lateral lower edge areas, the door leaf, on the other hand by a rigid pair of handlebars, the handlebars in the upper corner area of the frame frame on the one hand and approximately in the lateral central region of the door leaf on the other hand pivoted and about one Spring support force can be initiated with regard to the sequence of movements to make the door leaf quieter or vibration-free, in a simple manner and possibly in the course of retrofitting.

Starting from an overhead door of the type mentioned, this object is achieved according to the invention in that additional guide rails are provided approximately horizontally from the upper frame side areas into the interior of the space to be closed with the door leaf, into each of which in the upper side edge area of the door leaf via a pivot lever engage about rollers held pivotable about an approximately horizontal axis perpendicular to the guide direction of the guide rails.

Due to the inventive guidance of the door leaf against lateral displacement movements of a disturbing nature by means of swivel levers in the upper lateral edge areas of the door leaf which engage in horizontal guide rails, the load-bearing function of the rigid pair of handlebars is not overridden, as is the case with those working with horizontal guide rails Gates of known type of this type are the case whose pivot levers serve practically only to introduce a supporting force into the door leaf.

The movement path of the upper edge of the door leaf of door leaves guided on rigid links and in vertical rails could in principle be simulated in a roughly horizontal direction by a correspondingly shaped guide rail arrangement. Then, with the simultaneous use of the rigid handlebar pair, there would be an overdetermination of the door leaf guide, which forces corresponding accuracy of the shape of the horizontal rails and overall high assembly accuracy, or the task of the rigid handlebars, so that it is better to use the known design according to the prior art horizontally rectilinear guide rails.

The invention shows the detachment from these ideas and teaches the horizontal To provide guide rails only for the prevention of lateral movements of the upper edge of the door leaf, in a straightforward and therefore inexpensive profile design.

The rollers arranged in the upper side edge regions of the door leaf are each pivotably guided on a preferably spring-loaded pivot lever with respect to their running axis corresponding to the lever relative to the upper edge of the door leaf. The springs provided for this purpose, in particular leg springs, push the respective pivoting rollers away from the door leaf level, ie downwards in the door leaf opening position. In this way, the roller can be guided in a guide rail designed as an approximately horizontal straight line. Preferably, the guide rails - as is usual with gates of the type in question of another design - seen from the frame slightly rising, but this is due to the spring-loaded pivotability of the rollers in the upper side edge areas of the door leaf, which such an intentional or unwanted course orientation balances, is not of particular concern.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the pivoting levers of the rollers in the consoles in the open position are limited upwards in their pivoting movement, so that one does not have to hold this upper edge of the door leaf with the aid of the spring force. In this open position, the door leaf itself is intentionally inclined slightly downwards towards the door opening to be closed.

In a further preferred embodiment, an end position holder in the open position is provided in that the running surfaces of the C-shaped running rails are each provided with a recess, preferably for use on the right and left of the door leaf in each case in two opposite running surfaces. To this extent, the rollers engage in these recesses in the open position of the door leaf.

Another end position holder in the open position can be provided in that in the upper region of the vertical guide rails one of the Rail running surfaces, here the one facing the inside of the garage, which has an arch shape in itself, is provided with a spring device, namely in the form of an arm which is fixed in one area to the frame and with its other end which is arched toward the inside of the guide rail a slot-like opening in the tread of the rail protrudes inwards. This spring lever can thus deflect outwards when the roller engaging in the rail engages on the arcuate region inside the guide, so that the roller itself and its bearing are not further stressed.

In the open position of the door leaf, the swivel levers of the rollers in the upper side edge area are pivoted all the way to the stop.

The handlebars have a small bend in their end facing the frame, so that the support spring element (gas spring) in the closed door leaf state and thus in the transport state, in which the door leaf and frame are assigned to one another in the smallest possible space, is designed so that the one side on the Frame and on the other hand pivotably arranged support spring element between the rest of the handlebar area running straight from the arch to the center of the door leaf and the frame.

In addition, the handlebar should be arranged as far as possible with respect to its hinge axis to the frame frame, so as close as possible in alignment with the upper edge of the door leaf in its closed position. For this purpose, the U-shaped bracket, which holds the end of the handlebar pivotably by means of a bolt extending through the legs of the U-shape, is provided with a recess in the pivoting area of the handlebar end in the U-web area, so that the cut approximately perpendicular to its longitudinal direction Square tube that forms the handlebar does not need to be machined. You could also punch away or flatten the edge of this tube facing the frame, but this would require a much higher processing effort.

In the guide rails 17, which extend approximately horizontally from the upper frame side areas 18 into the interior of the space to be closed with the door, rollers 21 are arranged on the upper door leaf corner areas 19, which - as can be seen in particular from FIGS. 4 to 5 - each have a pivot lever 22 are held on a bracket 20 so as to be pivotable about an axis 23 which extends parallel to the upper edge of the door leaf and perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the guide rails 17 and extends through the bracket legs 24. Arranged around the axis is a leg spring 25 having a plurality of turns, one spring end 26 of which engages the bottom 28 of the bracket 20 and the other spring end 27 of which engages the pivot lever 22, as can be seen in particular in FIGS. 3 and 5. The attack of these spring ends and the direction of force of the leg spring is such that the pivot lever 22 is acted upon in the direction of a pivoting movement of the inner surface of the door leaf 2, so the associated roller 21 is always kept in contact with the lower guide surface of the guide rail 17. In the open position, the pivot lever 22 abuts the console base 28 and thus limits further pivoting of the pivot lever 22 while tensioning the spring 25.

This engagement of the rollers 21 in the horizontal guide rails 17 prevents the door leaf from swinging or other lateral displacement movements in the region of its upper edge, thereby ensuring a stable door leaf movement.

Claims (9)

  1. An overhead door (1), more particularly for garages, comprising a doorleaf (2) which is guided in guide rails arranged substantially parallel with respect to the side regions of the frame by means of rollers provided in the lower side edge region of the doorleaf (2), and via rigid guide rods (6) which are pivotally connected to the two side regions of the doorleaf by means of one of their ends, and which are hinged to the correspondingly associated upper side region of the frame by means of their other ends, characterised in that additional guide rails (17) are provided so as to extend substantially horizontally from the upper side regions (18) of the frame into the inside of the space to be closed by the doorleaf (2), in which guide rails rollers (21) engage in the corresponding upper side edge region of the doorleaf (2), which rollers are each retained via a pivot lever (22) so as to be pivotable about a spindle (23) which extends substantially horizontal and at right angles with respect to the guide direction of the guide rails.
  2. An overhead door according to claim 1, characterised in that each pivot lever (22) carrying one of the rollers (21) is mounted in a bracket (20) positioned in the correspondingly associated upper corner region (18) of the doorleaf (2).
  3. An overhead door according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that each pivot lever (22) is acted upon by a force in the direction of displacement away from the doorleaf plane, i.e. downwardly when the doorleaf (2) is in the opened position, by means of a spring (25).
  4. An overhead door according to claim 3, characterised in that the spring (25) is in the form of a leg spring, having, in particular, a plurality of helical spring threads, which spring is supported on the base (28) of the bracket (20) by means of one leg (26) and on the pivot lever (22) by means of the other leg (27), and which spring embraces the spindle (23) around which the pivot lever (22) is mounted on the bracket (20).
  5. An overhead door according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that each pivot lever (23) is delimited with respect to its pivotal movement in the direction of the doorleaf plane, i.e. upwardly when the doorleaf (2) is in the opened position, by means of a stop, more particularly the base (28) of the bracket.
  6. An overhead door according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that all guide rails (3, 17) have the same cross-sectional construction so as to extend rectilinearly in the guide direction.
