Abstract

The invention concerns a recyclable waste collection container, essentially comprising a vertical wall (2) which closes off the inside of the container from the side, at least one waste-receiving opening (5) in the upper region of the wall, one container lid (3) with a carrying ring (24), at least one base plate (32) which is fastened in an openable manner in the lower region of the wall and is articulately connected to the wall by means of at least one hinge, and a locking and opening device (6) which is arranged primarily in the inside of the container, is articulately connected to the base plate and can be actuated from outside the collection container. To this end, it is proposed that the collection container should have a rectangular outline and should be enclosed by four rectangular side walls, of which at least one has at least one waste-receiving opening (5) in which an opening frame (8) can be inserted and can be connected to the side wall, the opening frame having an opening corresponding to a predetermined type of waste and the side walls, the base plate and the container lid being made of sheet steel. <IMAGE>

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Sammelbehälter für recyclebaren Abfall gemäß Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.The invention relates to a collecting container for recyclable waste according to the preamble of claim 1.

Institutions of the above Kind are already known, see AT-B-386 582. They are mainly made of plastic and serve as a collecting container for glass or waste paper or similar waste. Fires occur in particular in paper collection containers, which destroy or severely damage the plastic. In addition, this often produces harmful gases that get into the environment. In addition, the suspension options on the lid are not sufficiently stable because the fasteners attached to an inner steel plate and led outwards in the form of hooks and eyes sometimes tear out. The bottom is divided, and the two halves of the round bottom, divided in the diameter line, must be pivotally attached to the wall of the collecting container with a hinge in the region of the circumference. This requires special structural measures on the wall for the attachment of a hinge and yet, because the protruding parts of the respective floor half are free, the floor is very unstable. In addition, these plastic containers are difficult to manufacture. Because of their cross-section, the known plastic containers require large storage space, which has a negative effect both in terms of storage and also in the case of the disposal companies who have to keep a number of such containers available. The openings for the insertion of the waste must be adapted to the waste. For example, you have a different cross-section for a container for bottles than for a collection container for paper. As a result, the disposal company can create non-uniform containers, but always only buy special containers and the manufacturer cannot always produce uniform containers, but only special containers. For these reasons in particular, the manufacturing costs for the manufacturer and the storage and administration costs for the disposal company increase.

The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a collecting container of the type described at the outset, which can be produced more cheaply and is less expensive to manage, which is inherently more stable and more wear-resistant and which, despite the possibility of adapting to different waste material, can be produced essentially in a uniform design . The collection container should also have a greater resistance to destruction by fire and in any case should be recoverable as waste itself without any special effort. The container should not be too heavy, should have good dimensional stability even when filled and should not require any special maintenance or care.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by a collecting container of the type described at the outset, which has the characterizing features of the main claim. It is essential that the collecting container has an essentially rectangular shape and is made of steel. The rectangular shape of the room is cheap because it is easy to manufacture and requires little storage space. In any case, the volume that has to be provided for the transport of such containers is smaller. After all, steel offers greater resistance to fire than plastic.
Steel can also be recovered from scrap in a simple manner and returned to the material cycle. A number of advantageous design options can be built on these two supporting features. Such design options are presented in the individual subclaims.

As can be seen in Figures 1 and 2, the collecting container 1 can e.g. have a square layout. From its base 9, the collecting container 1 is built up from a square base frame 10. The required rigidity of the floor frame 10 is given to it by an L-profile 11. Instead of an L-profile 11, other profiles, such as U, T or double-T profiles, can also be used. In general, however, the use of an L-profile 11 is sufficient, as is shown in the present exemplary embodiment.

The bottom frame 10 is surrounded all around by side walls 2, whereby the container interior 12 is formed. In the present embodiment, all four side walls 2 have the same rectangular shape and are made of sheet steel. They are firmly and non-detachably connected to one another both along their longitudinal edges 13 and to the base frame 10, which also consists of steel, for example by welding. To avoid lateral opening slots in the area of the floor 9, the side walls 2 can be extended downward beyond the lower edge of the floor frame 10 to form a small apron 14. To increase the dimensional stability, each of the four side walls 2 is also provided with diagonal beads 15. As a result, bulges 16 are formed towards the center of each side wall, which bulges are curved outwards in the present exemplary embodiment.

The side walls 2 are closed. However, they can also have openings in the form of a close-meshed grid. The upper edge 17 of the side walls 2 and thus at the same time the container interior 12 is stiffened by an upper frame 18 in the present exemplary embodiment. For the sake of simplicity, this upper frame 18 is configured in exactly the same way as the base frame 10, ie it also consists of a steel L-profile 11. The side walls 2 are made with the upper frame 18 also welded.

Instead of the L-profile 11, the upper frame 18 can also be formed by an inwardly drawn peripheral edge of the side walls 2.

The upper end of the container 1, which is closed per se, is formed by the container lid 3, which in turn encompasses the upper edge 17 of the container interior 12 with a self-contained peripheral outer lid edge 19 and is welded to the side walls 2 via this lid edge 19. The container lid 3 also has diagonal beads which lead to a bulge 20 beyond the upper edge 17. Facing the container interior 12, the container lid 3 is stiffened on the inside with triangular sheets 21 which are arranged diagonally in the course of the beads of the container lid 3 and are welded to them. The container lid 3 and the triangular sheets 21 are made of sheet steel, which usually has the same thickness as the sheet steel of the side walls 2.

The triangular sheets 21 are laterally grouped around a guide tube 22 which hangs down from the center of the container cover 3 down into the container interior 12 and to which they are also welded. A guide rod 23 is guided longitudinally displaceably within the guide tube 22. The guide rod 23 protrudes at the top with an eyelet 24 from the container lid 3 and ends at the bottom in the container interior 12 in a stop 25, which prevents the guide rod 23 from being pulled out of the guide tube 22.

On the lower section of the guide rod 22, a second guide tube 26 is guided so as to be longitudinally displaceable. The second guide tube 26 forms the center of a yoke 27, on the two outer cheeks 28 of which two rods 29 are fastened in an articulated manner parallel to one another and at a mutual distance from one another in bolts 30 and hang down to the bottom 9 of the collecting container 1. The lower ends of the rods 29 in turn terminate in pins 31, which are each provided on link plates 47.

Ribs 32, to which the articulated straps 47 are fastened, pass in pairs across the width of the two base plates 4, which close the container interior 12 at the bottom, when and as long as the collecting container 1 stands on the ground, as is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. Each of the floor panels 4 is articulated on one of two opposite sides of the floor frame 10. For this purpose, at least two hinges 7 are provided for each of the base plates 4. In their arrangement, the yoke 27, the four rods 29 and the associated hinge pins 31 form parts of the locking and opening device 6 of the collecting container 1, which can be opened and closed downward via the two bottom plates 4 lying opposite one another. As long as it stands on the floor, it is closed. The base plates 4 are supported on the floor by four feet 33 provided on the outer corners. The feet 33 are each embedded in the corners of the base plates 4 and screwed to the base plates 4. The feet 33 are made, for example, of hard rubber, wood, ceramic or plastic.

Laterally at a small distance next to the eyelet 24 of the guide rod 23, a lifting eye 34 protrudes from the center of the container lid 3. The lifting eye 34 is welded to a sheet metal strip 35 arranged below the container lid 3. The lifting eye 35 is intended to attach a lifting device in order to lift the collecting container 1 from the floor and to hold it in this state. If this happens, the second guide tube 26 slides down on the shaft of the guide rod 22 until it is held by the stop 25, so that the two base plates 4 can move downwards. These open the container interior 12 from the longitudinal center 36 by pivoting outward about the hinges 7. The opening angle of the opened bottom plate 4 is determined by the distance between the upper edge of the stop 25 and the lower edge of the second guide tube 26. This means that if you pull the guide rod 23 completely out of the guide tube 22 upwards out of the container lid 3, the base plates 4 cannot open, ie the container interior remains closed.
When lifting the collecting container 1, it is therefore necessary, if one wants to keep it closed, at the same time remove the guide rod 23 from the container lid 3 pull out and hold in the extended position. Modern transport devices or vehicles for moving collection containers therefore also provide a second lifting device for simultaneously locking the base plates during lifting. To empty the container interior 12, the guide rod 23 is lowered into the guide tube 22. In this case, the base plates 4 fold open and their top 46 simultaneously form slides for the waste flowing out of the container interior 12. So that as little waste as possible remains in the lower corners of the container interior 12, these can be lined with deflector plates 37.

The collecting container 1 is provided with insertion openings 5 for waste on at least two opposite side walls 2. As can be seen in FIG. 2, the insertion openings 5 have a rectangular cross section and are located in the upper region of the side walls 2. The insertion openings 5 are framed, for example, by frame strips 38 projecting into the container interior 12. These frame strips 38 serve to hold opening frames 8, which in turn delimit an opening cross-section 39, in the present exemplary embodiment a circle. The opening cross-section 39 is used to throw bottles into the collecting container 1. The opening frame 8 is fastened, for example, to the side wall 2 with screws 40. The opening cross-section would be an elongated slot for the insertion of paper. This configuration makes it possible to build uniform containers and to determine the opening cross section 39 through the opening frame 8.

The collecting container 1 is largely made of sheet steel, which is galvanized or painted. Sheet metal with a thickness of 3 mm is used for the side walls 2, the container lid 3 and the base plate 4. The collecting container 1 can have a floor plan of approximately 1,500 mm by 1,500 mm. Its total height can be 1,650 mm (from the floor to the upper edge of the lifting eye). The insertion opening 5 measures approximately 460 mm by 230 mm and the circular cross-section 39 has a diameter of 180 mm. The guide tube 22 as well as the guide rod 23 have a square cross section in order to avoid that the locking and opening device 6 when opening and closing the base plate 4 is stuck. However, this risk is low and if the dimensions are sufficient, the hinge pins 31 and 30 have so much guide stability that both the two guide tubes 22 and 26 and the guide rod 23 can also be designed as round profiles. Like the parts of the collecting container 1, the parts of the opening and closing device 6 are coated or galvanized.

The entire locking and opening device 6 consists of the guide rod 23 with the eyelet 24 and the stop 25, the guide tube 22, the yoke 27 with the second guide tube 26 and the two side cheeks 28 and the four rods with the associated hinge pins 30 and 31 The two cheeks 28 are arranged parallel to and at a mutual distance from one another on two mutually opposite sides of the second guide tube 26. In between there is an intermediate piece 41 which, as shown in FIG. 2, can be designed as a double-T profile. It is also shown that the intermediate pieces 41 are inclined at an angle 42 to the vertical. This tendency prevents waste thrown into the container interior 12 from getting caught on the top of the yoke 27.

The double-chamber container 48 shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 largely corresponds in its outer structure to the single-chamber collecting container 1 of FIGS. 1 and 2. The double-chamber container 48 is also built on a base frame 10 which is in line with the base frame 10 of the embodiment according to FIGS 2 can be identical. Side walls 2 are arranged around the base frame 10 from the outside, each of which has a bulge 16 which is delimited by a bead 15. The upper end here again forms an upwardly curved container lid 3.

As already discussed in connection with the single-chamber collecting container 1, the upper edge 17 is angled toward the interior 12 of the collecting container 1 or 48. This type of configuration is shown in FIG. The bend 49 of the upper edge 17 gives the upper cross-sectional opening of a collecting container 1 or 48 a sufficiently high strength and rigidity, which the collecting container 1 or 48 for receiving most waste materials, such as paper and tin cans, makes them suitable. Only for the reception of waste materials with a higher specific weight and high bulk density, such as glass, 1 or 48 additional stiffeners can be provided for large-volume collecting containers. These consist either of an upper frame 18 or of four struts 50 or both, the struts 50 being perpendicular to the floor surface or to the floor frame 10 and one of them being fastened to the four corners 51 of the floor frame 10. FIG. 5 shows this type of configuration and also shows that the struts 50 are welded to the bottom frame 10 and the upper frame 18, for example. Screw connections are also possible. It is also possible to dispense with the upper frame 18 and instead to bend 49 the upper edges 17 of the side walls 2 (this embodiment is not shown).

Also with regard to the design of the floor assembly, the double-chamber container 48 externally resembles the single-chamber collecting container 1. The lower end of the double-chamber container 48 again forms two base plates 4, which are hinged to two opposite sides of the base frame 10 from the longitudinal center IV-IV to the Pages 2 are hinged openable. In comparison with the single-chamber collecting container 1, a separate opening mechanism is provided for each base plate 4 of the double-chamber container 48. This consists, for example, of a quadrilateral guide rod 23, the upper end of which protrudes from the double-chamber container 48 is formed by an eyelet 24. The eyelet 24 is used to attach a hoist (not shown). The guide rod 23 is guided in a guide tube 22, which is welded to the container lid 3 and protrudes from the latter into the interior of the double chamber container 48. The inner end of the guide rod 23, which is not visible from the outside, is formed by a stop 25 '. This stop 25 'consists, for example, of a washer 52 which is held by a screw 53 which is screwed longitudinally into the guide rod 23 from below.

Between the inner end 54 of the first guide tube 22 and the stop 25 ', a second guide tube 26 is longitudinally displaceable on the guide rod 23 guided. The second guide tube 26 has a rectangular cross section and a double T profile 55 projects from two opposite outer sides of this cross section. This is supported again in each case by a triangular sheet 56 on the second guide tube 26. The two double-T profiles 55 extend longitudinally and at a distance 57 parallel to the longitudinal center plane IV-IV of the double-chamber container 48. Perpendicular to this, a rectangular bar 59 protrudes from each outer end 58 of the two double-T profiles 55 and extends from the longitudinal center plane IV-IV into the interior of the double chamber container 48 towards the side wall 2. At the outer end 60 of each beam 59, a rod 29 is in turn hinged, which extends downward and ends in an articulated tongue 47 of the base plate 4. The hinge plate 47 is located in the vicinity of the longitudinal center plane IV-IV of the double chamber container 48, which also forms the division plane.

In the longitudinal median plane IV-IV, a partition 61 extends through the double chamber container 48 and divides its interior 12 into the two chambers 62 and 63, each of which lies on one side of the partition 61. Each of the two chambers 62 and 63 is assigned its own locking and opening device 64 and 65 in the sense of the above description. The two locking and opening devices 64 and 65 can also be operated independently of one another in such a way that the entire filled double-chamber container 48 can hang on each of the two locking and opening devices 64 or 65 in succession, while the other locking and opening device 65 or 64 can be operated by lowering the respective guide rod 23. In this way, the two chambers 62 and 63 can be opened one after the other and independently of one another. The two chambers 62 and 63 are provided for receiving different waste materials, such as paper and glass, and each have suitable insertion openings 5, as already described in connection with the single-chamber collecting container 1, and therefore for reasons of simplification and clarity were no longer shown in the drawings of FIGS. 3 to 5.

The partition 61 consists, for example, of individual boards (not shown) which are made of U-iron 66 two side walls 2 which are opposite one another perpendicular to the longitudinal center plane IV-IV. The U-irons 66 extend vertically and are each firmly and permanently connected to each side wall 2 by welding or releasably by screwing. At the bottom, the partition 61 lies on the inwardly directed leg 67 of the floor frame 10.

The two locking and opening devices 64 and 65 make the presence of a lifting eye 34 superfluous, as is absolutely necessary, for example, for opening the single-chamber collecting container 1. For this purpose, each of the locking and opening devices 64 and 65 of the double-chamber collecting container 48 is so strong that the entire filled double-chamber collecting container 48 can then be hung up.

48 in Kauf nehmen müßte.According to a first preferred embodiment, the parts of the two containers 1 and 48 are largely welded to one another. However, this is not always advantageous, because during rough operation to which the containers 1 and 48 are exposed, in particular the side walls 2 or the base frame 10 are frequently deformed or damaged. Depending on the severity of the damage, this may result in the loss of an entire container 1 or 48, although valuable parts thereof, e.g. the locking and opening devices 6, 64 or 65 are still completely intact. It has therefore been suggested that the parts be screwed together as far as possible and sensible. In this way, the replacement of individual damaged parts of the container 1 or 48 is possible without having to accept the loss of the entire container 1 or 48.

Das ganze wird von Verschraubungen 74 am Bodenrahmen 10 und entlang der Längsränder gehalten.FIGS. 6 to 11 show the different possibilities for tinning containers 1 and 48, for example. The bottom frame 10 of FIG. 6 is enclosed on the outside by four metal sheets 68 to 71 to form the side walls 2. The numbering was done clockwise. Accordingly, the two sheets 68 and 70, which each have straight edges 72, lie opposite the two sheets 69 and 71, the two longitudinal edges of which each have a bent edge 73. In FIGS. 6 to 8, the bent edges 73 each include the base frame 10 and the sheets 68 and 70 lie with their longitudinal edges 72 on the outside from the bent edges 73 of the sheets 69 and 71. The whole is held by screw connections 74 on the floor frame 10 and along the longitudinal edges.

In Figure 9, the situation is reversed. Here, the bent edges 73 of the sheets 69 and 71 rest on the straight longitudinal edges 72 of the sheets 68 and 70 from the outside.

In FIG. 10, each of the sheets 68 to 71 has a straight edge 72 and a bent edge 73. The bent edges 73 overlap the straight edges 72 in each case from the outside and counterclockwise.

In FIG. 11, all the sheets 68 to 71 have bent edges 73. Here, for example, the bent edges 73 of the sheets 68 and 70 overlap the bent edges 75 of the sheets 69 and 71 from the outside or vice versa. The whole thing is screwed together again, just like in FIGS. 9 and 10, without it having been expressly mentioned in connection with these two FIGS. 9 and 10. The number of screw connections 74 is arbitrary and depends on the respective requirements. Types of sheet metal deviating from the illustrations in FIGS. 6 to 11 are also possible.
