Abstract

Formed on the front of the pneumatic striking pin (12) is a depression (12a) for receiving the head of the nail to be driven in. The latter is held by a double lever (27) coaxially with the striking pin, so that, when the striking pin descends, it remains in this position and is driven in precisely. The double lever is connected via a linkage to the triggering lever (20) for the pneumatics, in such a way that, before the triggering of the pneumatics, it moves back, takes up the frontmost nail in a sliding rail (18) and places it on the striking pin which has risen again. The sliding rail continuously receives the nails from a drum (36) which rotates slowly and in which the nails are loosely placed. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a shooting pistol for loose upholstery nails with the features according to the preamble of claim 1.

A shooting pistol of this type is known from DE-A-2 352 062.

Known (DE-A-2 352 062) is a device for driving in pins for upholstery work with a drum-type container loosely receiving upholstery nails, an inclined guide channel for passing on the upholstery nails to a distribution device in order to individually feed the upholstery nails via a fork-like guide device to a punch bring. There they are held to their heads by a magnetic piece of the striker with a curved surface. After the respective nail has been released by the guide device, the plunger drives the nail in, moving in a tube.

According to the present invention, a generic shooting pistol should be able to drive loose upholstery nails loosely into a magazine, undamaged and in rapid succession with the highest precision.

The method and device for mechanically driving in upholstery nails arranged on a band, as is known (DE-C 22 45 860), cannot provide any suggestions for solving the task.

The aforementioned object is achieved by a shooting pistol with the features according to claim 1 or alternatively with the features according to claim 2.

The dependent claims have preferred constructive embodiments of the basic solution and in particular a preferred embodiment of a magazine in the form of a drum, which does not require any combination of the upholstery nails into a belt.

The precise hammering in of the upholstery nail results in a shooting pistol according to the invention in particular in that the nail to be hammered in lies on the one hand with its head directly against the firing pin and on the other hand is held on the underside of the head so that it is centered in a precise shooting position that means that the nail shaft is kept in line. In this position, the nail is also hammered in when the firing pin is lowered, because the stubbornness of the nail keeps it in the same position during the fast movement of the firing pin. When the firing pin is raised, the nail that is ready for hammering is held either by a spring-loaded flap that is pushed aside when the firing pin is lowered, or by a double lever, which is connected to the release lever of the pneumatics via a lever mechanism in such a way that it is at Actuation of the lever by advancing the same before the pneumatic push button is reached causes the double lever to move backwards from the area of the firing pin towards the slide rail. Both the flap and the double lever automatically move back into their holding position after the firing pin has moved back, having previously picked up the foremost nail from the slide rail.

If, according to the further invention, a downward-facing attachment stamp is provided on a front part of the pneumatic cylinder, parallel to the firing pin, which can be placed on a nail that was last hammered in when the firing pistol is attached, this aid facilitates the sequence of driving in nails in a row.

The curved contact surface of the firing pin can be enlarged on all sides by the curved surface of a ring in front. Additional forces for holding the ready nail can be built up by a magnet attached behind it. In particular, this magnet prevents the nail from falling down before the firing pin moves down when the double lever is retracted.

A magazine for a shooting pistol according to the invention is preferably a drum mounted on the rear in an extension of the slide rail with a removable cover, into which the nails to be driven can be filled in loosely without any auxiliary means. The drum rotates slowly during operation of the shooting pistol and has such a transport mechanism that new nails are constantly brought into the slide rail. Since the drum rotates slowly, there is no risk of damaging the decorative surface of the nails.

The invention further relates to a preferred mechanism in the front region of the slide rail for transferring the foremost nail to the double lever and to a preferred lever mechanism for moving the same.

First of all, reference is made to the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 7.

In this firing gun, a gun body 10 with a handle 10b, a pneumatic cylinder 11 and a drum 36 are uniformly combined for receiving the upholstery nails. The gun body is connected to both compressed air and electrical power. A push button 10a is located on the handle, accessible to the hand, for actuating the pneumatics for the pneumatic cylinder 11, the axis of which is arranged at an angle of 90 ° to the handle 10b. A trigger lever 20, which can be reached by hand and is mounted in a fixed joint 22, serves to actuate the push button 10a. The release lever 20 is held in the position shown in FIG. 1 by a spring 22a, there being a distance from the push button 10a, so that when the lever 20 is actuated, it must first be pivoted over an angular range (advance) before it reaches the push button .

The pneumatic cylinder 11 receives a pneumatic firing pin 12, the end face of which is designed as a depression, corresponding to the curvature of the head of the upholstery nails to be driven in. At the front of the pneumatic cylinder there is a replaceable front part 13 with a magnet 14 in the form of a ring, in front of which a disc 15, likewise in the form of a ring, with the inner surface of the ring being curved so as to accommodate an upholstery nail to be driven in as shown in Fig. 1 Upholstery nails are picked up by a drum 36 which is on the back on Gun body 10 is attached, the drum axis being inclined to the handle 10b or to the axis of the pneumatic cylinder 11. Above the drum wall is a slide rail 18, which leads inclined to the lower end of the front part 13 of the pneumatic cylinder and which has the task of individually bringing the cushioning nails to be driven in from the drum into the area of the percussion piston, ready to be driven in. The cross section of the slide rail is shown in FIG. 4. The head of a sliding nail is in each case in the region of the rectangular cross section of the rail 18, the nail shaft projecting from a slot 18a at the bottom. If the nails, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, are driven in the vertical direction, then the slide rail 18 is inclined so that the nails slip under their own weight. However, if nailing is to be carried out in a horizontal direction or upwards, and consequently the slide rail has no inclination, then the slide rail can be connected to the hydraulic system so that the nails are advanced by hydraulic pressure.

The drum has a drum base 30 which is fixedly connected to the slide rail 18 so that it does not rotate. At its edge, a groove 31 is formed all around, a motor is centrally attached to the outside of the drum base, and a hollow shaft 34 is fixed centrally to the inside of the drum base, which receives a shaft 35 which is rotated by the motor and to which a removable cover 36a is attached and also the drum wall 36. While the gun is in operation, the motor shaft rotates slowly and cover 36a and drum wall 36 rotate with it. The upholstery nails to be driven are loosely filled into the drum, which can be opened by removing the cover 36. The nails accumulate, as can be seen from FIG. 1, in the deepest area of the drum interior, that is to say in the angular area between the drum wall and the fixed drum base 30, the nails showing the tendency to lie on the drum wall with the nail head, so that nails always get into the groove 31 with one half of the head, as shown in Fig. 1. As the drum rotates slowly, the nails received by the groove at the bottom are pushed by drivers 37 into the upper region of the solid drum base, where there is an opening 32 at the mouth of the slide rail 18, through which a nail can get into the slide rail . The drivers 37 each consist of a piece of wire which is fixedly attached to the inside of the drum wall in the direction of a surface line and on which an angled portion 37a is formed in the vicinity of the groove, in such an arrangement that in each case one nail received by the groove on the head is detected and pushed. As can be seen from Figure 5, several drivers 37 are attached to the drum wall at uniform angular intervals.

Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the pneumatic cylinder before driving a nail. As can be seen from Fig. 1, the head of the nail to be driven is received by the disc 15, the flat lower surface of the nail head being flush with the disc. The firing pin 12 lies with its concavely curved end face on the tip of the nail head. In addition, the force of the magnet 14 acts on the nail and holds it in place. In the position shown there is also a flat holding surface of a double lever 27 on the lower surface of the nail head. The interaction of these holding elements means that the nail shaft is aligned with the firing pin axis. When the firing pistol is actuated, i.e. when the trigger lever 20 is pulled up, before the lever 20 reaches the push button 10a, the double lever 27 is pivoted aside by a mechanism connected to the lever from the area of the firing pin to the position shown in FIG 2 drawn position. When the trigger lever is pushed up further, that is to say when the button 10a is pressed, the hydraulics are started, ie the firing pin strikes down and drives the nail in, the nail shaft maintaining its axially aligned position due to its persistence, so that the nail penetrates the material coaxially with the firing pin. In the short period between the lifting movement of the double lever 27 and the onset of the striking movement, the nail is held in position by the magnet 14.

If the nails are to be driven in one after the other with the same nail spacing, then one can place an attachment stamp 16 on the previously driven-in nail before driving in as shown in FIG. 1. As shown in FIG. 3, the attachment stamp is attached to a bracket 16a in such a way that, depending on the nail spacing, different axial distances between the attachment stamp and firing pin can also be set.

The double lever 27 (FIG. 3) consists of two identical lever arms next to one another, which are pivotably arranged at a distance from one another. In the area of the distance between the two lever arms, a driving lug 27a is attached to one of them. The new nail to be driven is seated with the lower surface of its head on a support plane 27b, formed by the two arms, the nail shaft being located in front of the driving nose 27a. As can also be seen from FIG. 3, the two arms of the double lever 27 are pivotable about an axle pin 25, which also receives a spacer 28. The axle pin joint also includes a pair of links 24, the common fixed bearing 23 is located above the slide rail 18. The axle pin 25 is also surrounded by two coil springs 26 in the arrangement between the double lever 27 and each a link 24. Contrary to the axial pressure of these springs, the two arms of the double lever 27 can spread a bit, so that the shaft of a new nail to be inclined the driver nose 27a can overflow. Otherwise, the two coil springs 26 also have the task of holding the double lever 27 in the illustration shown in FIG. 1.

On the axle pin 25, a long connecting lever 21 is connected on the other hand, which is rigid in the joint 22, i. H. is angularly rigid with the trigger lever 20. Before driving in a nail, which is the position shown in FIG. 1, the release lever 20 and the connecting lever 21 are held in the position shown by pressure of the spring 22a, the pair of links 24 being approximately parallel to the cylinder axis and the double lever 27 by the pressure the springs 26 is held in an approximately horizontal position, the nail to be driven being held in from below. When the trigger lever 20 is pulled up, the double lever 27 is pulled away to the side and thus the path of the firing pin is released, the connecting lever 21 and the pair of handlebars 24 pivoting back into the position according to FIG. 2 and taking the double lever with them before the push button 10a of the pneumatics is reached. The nail head is further held by the magnetic forces. When the trigger is pulled up further, the pneumatics are triggered and the firing pin hits the nail.

In the area of the mouth of the slide rail 18, it receives two disks 40 and 41, the shape of which is shown in FIGS. 6 and 7. A disc 40 is laterally spring-mounted and serves as a stop for the head of the front nail in the slide rail 18. The other disc 41 is pivotally mounted in the pivot point 42 and takes the position shown in FIG. 6 in the position of the double lever according to FIG. 1 a. Meanwhile, when the double lever 27 moves back into the position shown in FIG. 2, the disc 41 is simultaneously pivoted with the aid of a rod 43, which is connected to a handlebar 24, such that the foremost nail is gripped by a nose of the disc and on is pushed forward into the space between the two arms of the double lever 27 (Fig. 3) on the Driving nose 27a so that this nail is ready for further transport in front of the firing pin. 8 to 9 show a simplified embodiment of a shooting pistol according to the invention without a magnet compared to the described exemplary embodiments, but also with a pneumatic cylinder 50 with front part 51, firing pin 52, slide rail 53 and attachment ram 54. There is also a concave on the end face of the firing pin Curvature formed to accommodate a nail head. 8 by a spring-loaded flap 56 with a fork 57 which is pivotally mounted in a recess 55 of the attachment ram 54 and holds the cushion nail on the firing pin by a spring 58 in the position according to FIG. 8. When the firing pin 52 moves down, the flap is pushed aside as shown in FIG. 10. When the firing pin then moves back again, the flap resumes its position according to FIG. 8, where it receives a new nail which is transferred to the slide rail 53 via an inlet device.
