Claims (6)

  1. Agitator cover device for paint cans (1) provided with an agitator, the underneath portion of the cover (9) carrying a flexible sealing gasket (14) the width of which is selected for compensating manufacturing tolerences between cans of various origins, characterized in that the underneath portion of the cover (9) defines a groove (13) for the flexible sealing gasket which is a flat annular sealing gasket, and in that the cover (9) which is shaped for having a great rigidity cooperates with bows (20), articulated to a stand (21) on which the can (1) is placed and including a cross-piece (19) bearing on lugs (16) formed by the cover (9), whereby the pressure applied by said bows (20) and lugs (16) is distributed not only in a uniform manner on the sealing gasket (14), but still also in a uniform manner on the envelope (2) of the can.
  2. Agitator cover device according to claim 1, characterized in that the lugs (16) formed by the cover are provided with striations (17).
  3. Agitator cover device according to claim 2, characterized in that the striations (17) are formed for extending on the lugs (16) in a manner substantially concentrical to the periphery of the cover (9).
  4. Agitator cover device according to claim 2, characterized in that the striations are formed on an ascending wall (18) of the lugs (16).
  5. Agitator cover device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the stand (21) comprises edges (22) for centring the can (1) provided with the cover (9).
  6. Agitator cover device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the cover (9) has an underneath portion provided with centring fingers (23) extending beyond the periphery of the envelope (2) of the can (1).
