Abstract

A press section of a papermachine for dehydrating a paper web contains two separate, series-arranged broad-nip pressing points (1 and 2). Both pressing points (1,2) each have at least one felt band which is passed through the pressing points together with the web. The paper web is passed forward from the first pressing point (1) to a take-off device (15) which is in contact with the upper felt (13) of the second pressing point (2) and from which the web can then reach the second pressing point (2). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a press section of a Paper machine according to the preamble of the claim 1, 2 or 3 (US-A-4 257 844).

Press sections of this type have the decisive one Advantage that by using presses with, seen in the direction of web travel, longer Press length a relatively long time to squeeze the liquid from the web is available. In this way, such a press section get by with few press points and yet, even if the paper web runs quickly, one achieve a high drainage effect. The on known presses with an extended press nip are often designed so that a press roll with flexible jacket is provided, which from the inside an essentially only radially movable pressing element pressed against a rigid counter roller is, the flexible jacket in the area of Fit the press nip onto the rigid counter roll can. But there are other embodiments to achieve an extended pressing surface conceivable.

To ensure the highest possible operational reliability of the Reaching the press section is fast moving Machines aimed that the paper web, as for example in DE-Gbm 87 17 279 shown, in constant contact with at least one felt is a so-called free move to avoid where the paper web run the risk would tear down. A disadvantage of such arrangements is that after the exit of the Paper web from the press nip a rewet through the water carried in the felt into the Paper web occurs.

There is already a solution to this problem an arrangement has been proposed (DE-OS 37 42 84 8), where special measures are taken be at least one felt very quickly to lift off the paper web when they get the Press nip leaves, but this is not enough.

Solutions are also known in which second press nip only a felt is present. If the felt is at the top, it can Web too light before entering the second press point fall off. On the other hand, it is below, especially as continuous bottom felt for both presses, then the full width of the web at the exit from the second press with the top roller up follow where it is difficult to handle. On the other hand, there is also a tendency here the paper web, the water from the felt behind suck back the nip, larger.

In DE-OS 38 15 278 A1 is a press shown with two roller presses one behind the other each with an extended press nip, thereby the conditions for drainage the paper web are cheap, on the other hand but the paper web with the help of a felt is transported through both pressing points. she can not conditioned between the two presses will.

The invention is based, the Dewatering effect of press sections with two successive elongated press nips continue to improve without reducing operational safety the web guide through both presses worsen.

These goals are identified by those in the license plate of claim 1, 2 or 3 measures mentioned in full Scope reached.

Of particular advantage is the proposed Solution that different in this way Felts used for the two press points can be. It is therefore possible for everyone New felt after passing through the press point to condition, so with a relatively low Water content for a new pressing process To make available. The handover of the train from the first bottom felt becomes the second top felt with the help a felted and operated vacuum device performed. It is also guaranteed that the damp web is safe between the press points mentioned and on the felt can be held.

The subsequent subclaims show particularly advantageous embodiments of the press section according to the invention.

1 shows a press section according to the invention, into which the paper web, for example coming from a Fourdrinier wire 21, can be guided by a pickup roller 22.
This figure shows two successive pressing points 1 and 2 with the pressing surfaces 3 and 4 or 5 and 6. It can be seen that the pressing surfaces have an elongated shape when viewed in the running direction (wide nip). In the embodiment shown here, the presses consist of counter rolls 7 and 9 located at the bottom and wide nip press rolls 8 and 10 located at the top. In the area of the first press point 1, two felt belts 11 and 12 are used, which run through the first press point together with the paper web. Only a top felt 13 is passed through the second press point 2. The web is removed from the felt belt 12 by the take-off device 15, here embodied as a suction roll, which is partially wrapped around by the upper felt 13. The paper web lifted by the take-off device 15 from the lower felt belt 12 is brought up in a very short way or in direct contact with the lower counter-roller 9 of the second press point 2, so that a fall of the web due to its weight is practically impossible. Behind the press nip, the web continues to adhere to the lower counter-roller 9, while the upper felt 13 is lifted off the web. At the further take-off device 18, which is embodied here as a suction roll which can be adjusted against the lower counter-roll 9, the web reaches the further upper felt 14 and together with it into the beginning of the subsequent drying section. In the event of a web break or when the system starts up, the discontinued paper webs or strips can get through the scrapers 19 and 20 into the reject breaker 23 without causing problems.

Der dabei auftretende Ausschuß gelangt in den darunterliegenden Ausschußauflöser 23.Another advantage can be achieved if the Approach the press section through the paper web the press points 1 and 2 passed through at full width can be because that is the protection of the sometimes sensitive components of the wide nip press rolls serves. Then if the train from the last one Press roll expires, a transfer strip can be formed for the subsequent drying section. The committee that emerges arrives in the reject resolver 23 below.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2 the reliable transfer between the first and second press through a suction box 16 ensures, which above the top felt 13 exerts a vacuum on the felt and thereby the web below it on the upper felt 13 holds. From there the train comes together with the upper felt in the second press station 2. Instead of the suction box can also be a special blow box be used according to the injector principle an air flow in narrow slits with direction away from the felt and a holding Has an effect on the web.

It is also conceivable, as shown in Fig. 3, instead or in addition to the suction box 16, a transport sieve 17, which the web of presses down on the upper felt 13. This too is a reliable transfer between the two press points 1 and 2 guaranteed. Another one an advantageous option would not be here shown blow box below the paper web for the same purpose.

In addition to the press sections shown in FIGS. 1-3 with in both press points 1 and 2 above horizontal nip press rolls is also the arrangement with in the first press 1 below Wide nip press roll 8 and counter roll on top 7 possible, as shown in Fig. 4. It can similar to the designs already described from the first press 1 the web with two The felt is brought out and the upper felt is lifted off become. To safely take the train at the bottom Felt belt 12 is an underlying suction roll 24 installed. This solution is with the above Comments on taking over the web in the second press point 2 can be combined.

Another embodiment of the invention The press section is shown in Figure 5. a very compact arrangement of the entire press section shown. The operated with negative pressure Removal device 15 guides the web in direct Way of the belonging to the first press 1 Counter roll 7 to the second press point 2 belonging counter roll 9. After going through the second press station 2, the web remains on the Counter roll 9 to further take-off point 18, while the upper felt 13 immediately after leaving the press point 5, 6 discharged from the web becomes. The further removal device 18 performs the Web directly into the subsequent dryer section.
