Description

The invention relates to the formation of the corner of an interception wall made of two L-shaped concrete blocks, each of which consists of an upright wall plate and a horizontal base plate protruding therefrom at right angles and are joined together.

This makes it possible to produce curved retaining walls in which the butt joints between adjoining wall panels look essentially equally good due to the curvature of their side surfaces, regardless of the angle at which they meet.

In practice, however, there are often courses of intercepting walls in which straight sections meet at a certain angle. For straight sections, however, L-shaped concrete blocks are still preferred, in which the narrow side surfaces of the upright wall panels are flat and run at right angles to the front of the wall panel, because this gives the intercepting wall a more closed appearance and the risk that soil from the Back of the wall is washed out by the joint between two adjacent wall panels, is smaller. If such L-shaped wall panels are joined together at a angle other than a right angle, then this has the disadvantages listed in DE-PS 32 32 799: the alignment of the adjacent wall panels is very difficult because, for a clean appearance, a linear contact along two edges is needed, which are prone to impact and breakage, and with a convex retaining wall, a disruptive, wedge-shaped joint results.

It would of course be possible to provide wall washers in a corner wall, which should run at different angles, in the area of the corners, which are rounded on both side surfaces according to DE-PS 32 32 799, and otherwise to arrange wall disks in the straight sections of the wall have flat side surfaces in a manner known per se. The coincidence of flat side surfaces on one side and rounded side surfaces on the other leaves an unsatisfactory visual impression.

The present invention has for its object to provide L-shaped concrete blocks for the construction of angled retaining walls, with which the disadvantages mentioned above can be avoided.

This object is achieved by a corner formation of the interception wall with the features specified in claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

The invention proposes for the first time asymmetrical L-shaped concrete blocks for the construction of interception walls made of L-shaped concrete blocks, the upright wall disc of which has a rounded flank on one side and a flat flank on the opposite side. By bumping two L-shaped concrete blocks, one of which is rounded on the left and the other on the right, with their rounded flanks, you can form a corner with almost any angle that looks great in any case. The butt joint in the corner has an optimal shape, for example to be sealed with a sealing compound from the rear (slope side). Due to the rounding of the flanks, the front and rear vertical edges of the wall panel have disappeared and can no longer be damaged. At the same time, there is no need to align the concrete blocks colliding in the corner with millimeter precision. The function and appearance of the intercepting walls are not disturbed in the corner if the position of the surface lines is along of which two wall washers touch each other by a few millimeters.

On the other hand, the retaining wall can be continued in the rectilinear area adjoining the corner to the next corner with known L-shaped concrete blocks, which have flat flanks on both sides, which leads to a closed appearance and makes it more difficult to wash away soil through the butt joints.

To form an outside corner, the base plate of one of the two concrete blocks forming the corner is preferably set up, at a distance from the underside of the wall plane which is only slightly more than the greatest thickness of the base plate of the other concrete block. The two concrete blocks can then be joined together with overlapping base plates. However, it would also be possible, but not so cheap, to leave the base plates of the two adjacent concrete blocks at the same level for the formation of outside corners; the foot disks would then have to be reduced in size, in particular beveled.

When forming inside corners, an overlap of the two adjoining concrete blocks is out of the question; here the base plates of both concrete blocks can be at the same level and be as large as the known L-shaped concrete blocks.
