Koaxialcigarette mit a) einem koaxialen Strang, wobei der Kern des Stranges aus einer anderen Mischung aus einem weitgehend rückstandsfrei verglimmenden Material, insbesondere Tabakmaterial, als die Peripherie des Stranges besteht, b) einer Umhüllung des Strangkerns aus Cigarettenpapier oder Tabakfolie, c) einer Umhüllung der Strangperipherie aus Cigarettenpapier oder Tabakfolie, und d) einem Filtermundstück,

dadurch gekennzeichnet,

e) daß das Verhältnis des Zugwiderstandes des Kerns (14) pro Längeneinheit zu dessen Packungsdichte im Bereich von ca. 0,13 bis ca. 0,27 mm WS cm²/mg liegt (gemessen bei luftundurchlässiger Umhüllung und einem Durchfluß von 17,5 ml/s); f) daß das Verhältnis des Zugwiderstandes der Peripherie (18) pro Längeneinheit zu deren Packungsdichte im Bereich von ca. 0,07 bis ca. 0,11 mm WS cm²/mg liegt (gemessen bei luftundurchlässiger Umhüllung innen und außen, einem undurchlässigen Kern und einem Durchfluß von 17,5 ml/s); g) daß das Filtermundstück ein konventioneller Filter (15), vorzugsweise vom ventilierten Typ ist; und h) daß der Nikotingehalt der Mischung des Kerns (14) größer als 3 Gew.-% und der Nikotingehalt der Mischung der Peripherie (18) des Stranges kleiner als 1,1 Gew.-% ist.
