Description
The present invention relates to a convertible top attachment to convertible vehicles according to the preamble of
In a known convertible top fastening of this type (DE-C-1 192 529), the convertible top fabric is held in a fastening configuration designed as a fastening gutter by an externally placed tension member, with which the convertible top material is drawn into the fastening gutter in the form of a loop. This convertible top attachment, which is visibly arranged in the rear part of the vehicle at the upper edge of the body, forms a moisture-sensitive storage space, since the attachment channel is only covered by a convertible top bead. When the tendon, which is designed as a tensioning wire, is placed directly on the loop of the convertible top fabric, the necessary tensioning forces in the area of the fastening formation are associated with disadvantageous notch effects which can damage the convertible top fabric on the edges.
The invention has for its object to provide a convertible top attachment that is easy to assemble and provides a tensile, reliably tight connection of the convertible top fabric to the body in an optically unobtrusive mounting position.
The invention solves this problem by fastening the convertible top to convertible vehicles with the features of
The invention provides a convertible top attachment to convertible vehicles which, owing to the clamping profile connected to the convertible top edge in a watertight manner, enables the convertible top material to be easily installed with the body clamping strip with the integrated tensioning element. In the tensioned connection position, the edge of the convertible top material held on the clamping profile without loops is only exposed to tensile loads, so that a reliably tight connection is established with this non-notch effect tension. The shifting of the fastening shape in the covered body shaft area improves the overall visual impression in the rear part of the convertible vehicle with a concealed fastening.

In Fig. 3, the tensioned connection position of the
The
The
The
The
Two symmetrical connecting
In the area of the entry point of the
The object of the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawings and described above, but rather other configurations and modifications are also conceivable within the scope of the claims.
