Definitions

  • the invention relates to the field of methods of manufacturing light wooden packaging comprising side, head and bottom elements on the surface of which are affixed printed, advertising and technical information, relating to the product that the packaging in question must also contain the identification of its supplier and / or distributor.

Description

The invention relates to the field of methods of manufacturing light wooden packaging comprising side, head and bottom elements on the surface of which are affixed printed, advertising and technical information, relating to the product that the packaging in question must also contain the identification of its supplier and / or distributor.

  • a) ceux qui consistent à marquer directement, notamment par impression, les éléments, en bois traditionnel, constitutifs de l'emballage;
  • à dérouler, en une feuille continue, de la grume de bois coupée à la longueur de l'emballage pour insérer cette feuille, après collage, entre deux feuilles de papier résistant, après interposition de feuillets métalliques de renfort;
  • à découper, dans ce complexe, transversalement et en une seule pièce, le fond et les côtés longitudinaux et les retours des côtés,puis,longitudinalement, les têtes, et enfin les lattes constituant les liteaux;
    Le but de l'invention en question, qui appartient au domaine de la découpe des éléments constitutifs de l'emballage dans un complexe bois-papier résistant, consiste à remèdier aux inconvénients suivants :
  • chutes importantes dans les découpes traditionnelles;
  • fils intermèdiaires d'armature empêchant d'apposer sur les côtés des publicités;
  • glissement des emballages gerbés.
The known methods intended to affix said information to the faces of the components of the packaging are essentially of two types:
  • a) those which consist in directly marking, in particular by printing, the elements, in traditional wood, constituting the packaging;
  • b) those which consist in fixing, by stapling, strips, in particular of paper, previously printed.
The first method has the drawback directly linked to the quality of the surface to be treated (rough, irregular and absorbent) and to the very nature of the wood (mold).
The second method has the drawback associated with the cost of labor and the irregular tare of packaging designed entirely from natural wood.
A process for the manufacture of light packaging, such as cases or trays, from the cut component parts, is described in patent FR-A-2151206.
It consists :
  • unrolling, in a continuous sheet, wooden log cut to the length of the packaging to insert this sheet, after gluing, between two sheets of resistant paper, after interposition of metallic reinforcing sheets;
  • to cut, in this complex, transversely and in one piece, the bottom and the longitudinal sides and the returns from the sides, then, longitudinally, the heads, and finally the slats constituting the battens;
  • to realize, along the articulation lines situated between the sides and the returns, grooves which pass through both the paper covering and a part of the wood core so as to avoid breaking of the latter during the folding of the returns.
    The object of the invention in question, which belongs to the field of cutting the constituent elements of the packaging in a resistant wood-paper complex, consists of remedying the following drawbacks:
  • significant falls in traditional cuts;
  • reinforcing intermediate yarns preventing advertising from being affixed to the sides;
  • sliding of stacked packaging.

    • le papier en question ne sert pas à la rigidité (il ne s'agit pas d'un panneau composite) mais uniquement à l'impression et il n'est choisi que sur ce seul critère;
    • le contrecollage automatique n'est possible que sur des panneaux plats et secs et qui présentent une certaine rigidité;
  • b) à découper un nombre d'éléments de côté, de tête et/ou de fond correspondant à un nombre d'emballages important (et non unitaire) pour permettre un gain de productivité conséquent (réduction du coût) et pour avoir l'affleurement parfait entre les bords des éléments découpés et ceux des feuilles pré-imprimées correspondantes, ce qui n'est pas réalisable avec des panneaux unitaires et encore moins sur un arrangement d'éléments tel que défini dans le brevet sus-mentionné (décollement des bords et des angles en cours de manipulation);
While the method according to the invention consists:
  • a) to use large panels and to automatically laminate, over the entire surface of said panels, on one side only, pre-printed sheets of paper serving solely as a support for technical and advertising messages and also to define the lines of cutting of the components of the packaging:
    • the paper in question is not used for rigidity (it is not a composite panel) but only for printing and it is chosen only on this sole criterion;
    • automatic lamination is only possible on flat and dry panels which have a certain rigidity;
  • b) to cut a number of side, head and / or bottom elements corresponding to a large number of packages (and not unitary) to allow a significant productivity gain (cost reduction) and to have the outcrop perfect between the edges of the cut elements and those of the corresponding pre-printed sheets, which is not possible with unitary panels and even less on an arrangement of elements as defined in the aforementioned patent (separation of the edges and angles during manipulation);
  • c) joining together the side, head and bottom elements thus obtained, associated with cleats placed at the four corners, to constitute the final packaging.

  • ni pour les grandes feuilles pré-imprimées à cause de l'emballage unitaire;
  • ni pour le contrecollage automatique qui n'est pas applicable;
  • ni pour la découpe en grande série à cause de l'emballage unitaire;
The aim of the process according to the invention consists in making the manufacture of the constituent elements of the packaging with at least one printed side completely automatic (large series) by using the techniques of printing on large sheets and cutting from large panels. as well as the assembly of said elements on existing automatic machines.
None of these techniques is applicable to the process described above:
  • nor for large sheets pre-printed because of the unitary packaging;
  • nor for automatic lamination which is not applicable;
  • nor for cutting in large series because of the unitary packaging;
  • nor for automatic assembly in large series on conventional machines.
The process in question, which allows a significant gain in productivity and which makes it possible to obtain elements of impeccable quality, seems new and original compared to the cited prior art.

  • la figure 1 est une vue de l'emballage final;
The characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear more clearly on reading the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the invention given by way of non-limiting example and shown in the accompanying drawings.
In these drawings:
  • Figure 1 is a view of the final package;
  • Figure 2 is a view of a laminated panel before cutting.

L'emballage représenté à la figure 1 comporte :

  • des éléments de côté, de tête (2) et de fond (3), par exemple en bois déroulé-séché ou en contreplaqué, sur lesquels ont été apposées, par contrecollage, à partir d'une contrecolleuse automatique, des feuilles (5), par exemple de papier, préalablement imprimées, par exemple en quadrichromie;
The packaging shown in Figure 1 includes:
  • side, head (2) and bottom (3) elements, for example made of peeled-dried wood or plywood, on which sheets (5) have been affixed, by laminating, from an automatic laminator , for example paper, previously printed, for example in four colors;
  • wooden cleats (4), placed at the four corners of the packaging; these different modules can be stapled or glued together.

L'ensemble représenté à la figure 2 comporte :

  • un panneau (7) de la même matière que celle souhaitée pour les éléments de côté, de tête ou de fond et de dimensions multiples de celles desdits éléments;
  • une feuille pré-imprimée (8) comportant un nombre d'impressions (6) égal au nombre entier d'éléments (1), (2) et/ou (3) entrant, en juxtaposition transversale et longitudinale, dans la surface de chaque panneau;
    ladite feuille présentant des lignes de découpe (9) et (10), transversales ou longitudinales, correspondant aux dimensions finales desdits éléments.
  • a) à contrecoller, au moyen d'une contrecolleuse automatique, sur toute la surface des panneaux (7), la feuille préimprimée (8);
  • b) à découper les éléments directement dans lesdits panneaux contrecollés selon les lignes (9) et (10);
The assembly represented in FIG. 2 comprises:
  • a panel (7) of the same material as that desired for the side, head or bottom elements and of dimensions multiple of those of said elements;
  • a pre-printed sheet (8) comprising a number of prints (6) equal to the whole number of elements (1), (2) and / or (3) entering, in transverse and longitudinal juxtaposition, into the surface of each sign;
    said sheet having cutting lines (9) and (10), transverse or longitudinal, corresponding to the final dimensions of said elements.
For a better flush with the outer edges of the panels, they will be slightly larger than those of the pre-printed sheets.
The number of elements per panel will be sufficient to allow a significant productivity gain.
When cutting, you get the perfect flush, with excellent bonding, of the printed surface compared to that of the cut wooden element.
Laminated elements can be assembled with non-laminated elements (in other words without printing) produced separately.
The method according to the invention therefore consists:
  • a) laminating, by means of an automatic laminator, over the entire surface of the panels (7), the preprinted sheet (8);
  • b) cutting the elements directly from said laminated panels along lines (9) and (10);
  • c) joining together the side (1), head (2) and bottom (3) elements thus obtained, associated with cleats (4) placed at the four corners, to constitute the final packaging.
A panel can include elements of the same type, (1) for example, or any combination of elements (1), (2) or (3).
The elements (1), (2) or (3) laminated can be associated, in the same packaging, with elements (1), (2) or (3) not laminated.
The elements of peeled and dried wood can be combined, to form the same packaging, with plywood elements.

  • dans les matériaux utilisés;
Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown for which other variants can be provided:
  • in the materials used;
  • the structures and assemblies of the elements; without thereby departing from the scope of the invention.
