Definitions
- the present invention relates to the doors of household ovens comprising a shell of parallelepiped shape, the front wall of which has a large opening in the form of a parallelogram and closed by a transparent plate.
- the fixing of said transparent plate on said shell is generally carried out by fixing members independent of said two elements to be assembled.
- the fasteners used are generally devices comprising fixing screws and nuts requiring additional accessories during assembly or else welded lugs with interposition of seals. Furthermore, said fixing members are difficult to install and require a long assembly time.
- Document US-A-2,394,176 shows an oven door with the transparent plate disposed in a removable manner by sliding relative to the shell of the door.
- the object of the invention is to remedy the aforementioned drawbacks by realizing a new design for a door of a household appliance and by implementing a simple method of mounting said transparent plate on the opening of the parallelepidic shell.
- the door of a household appliance is characterized in that the fixing members are formed from at least two retaining tabs respectively arranged on two opposite sides of the internal border and each located a short distance from this border so as to define an open housing in the direction of said opening, while the transparent plate has on two opposite sides parallel to the two sides carrying the tabs at least two projections intended to be fixed, by sliding the plate relative to the internal border, respectively under the two retaining tabs, said border internal and said plate comprising mutual blocking means.
- the number of parts useful for fixing the transparent plate to the opening of the shell of parallelepipedal shape is limited to said two parts which simplifies assembly and reduces the time of assembly of said two parts as well as the cost of assembling and manufacturing the door of the household appliance oven.
- a door of a microwave oven comprises, a shell 1, for example, of plastic of generally rectangular shape with rectangular profile whose front wall 2 has a wide opening X of height H1 which has a general shape of a rectangular parallelogram and which is closed by a transparent plate 3, for example, made of polycarbonate, of complementary shape and mounted on the internal edge 4 of said opening.
- Said transparent plate 3 comprises projections 5 and 6 which are positioned in open housings 5 ′ and 6 ′ delimited by the spacing produced between the internal edge 4 and fixing members constituted, for example, by holding tabs 7, 8 and located respectively on two opposite sides 9 and 10 of the internal border 4.
- the shell 1 and the transparent plate 3 have in vertical and transverse section at the sides carrying the holding tabs 7, 8 and the projections 5, 6, a profile bulging outwards.
- the rear part 11 of the microwave oven door further comprises a metal frame 12 positioned, for example, by removable fixing, on the shell 1.
- Said frame 12 has a generally parallelepiped shape and has a wide opening of height H2 which has a general shape of a parallelogram and which is closed by a perforated metal plate 13.
- Said perforated plate has holes located at equal distance from each other so as to avoid the passage of waves from the cooking cavity when the oven, whose door has been previously closed, is in the microwave operating mode and fixing means allowing easy attachment of the perforated metal plate 13 on the frame 12.
- the metal frame 12 also includes, on its periphery, a recess 14 corresponding to a quarter-wave trap of known type making it possible to capture the leaks of waves when the door is closed, thus avoiding any risk of said wave leaks to the outside of the oven.
- a frame 15, for example, made of plastic, of generally parallelepipedal shape is positioned, for example by removable fixing, on the metal frame 12 so that the opposite sides 16 and 17 of the frame 15 come into contact respectively on a lower edge 18 of the shell 1 and resting on an upper edge 19 of the shell 1.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to the doors of household ovens comprising a shell of parallelepiped shape, the front wall of which has a large opening in the form of a parallelogram and closed by a transparent plate.
The fixing of said transparent plate on said shell is generally carried out by fixing members independent of said two elements to be assembled. The fasteners used are generally devices comprising fixing screws and nuts requiring additional accessories during assembly or else welded lugs with interposition of seals.
Furthermore, said fixing members are difficult to install and require a long assembly time.
Document US-A-2,394,176 shows an oven door with the transparent plate disposed in a removable manner by sliding relative to the shell of the door.
The object of the invention is to remedy the aforementioned drawbacks by realizing a new design for a door of a household appliance and by implementing a simple method of mounting said transparent plate on the opening of the parallelepidic shell.
According to the invention, the door of a household appliance is characterized in that the fixing members are formed from at least two retaining tabs respectively arranged on two opposite sides of the internal border and each located a short distance from this border so as to define an open housing in the direction of said opening, while the transparent plate has on two opposite sides parallel to the two sides carrying the tabs at least two projections intended to be fixed, by sliding the plate relative to the internal border, respectively under the two retaining tabs, said border internal and said plate comprising mutual blocking means.
Thanks to this appliance oven door according to the invention, the number of parts useful for fixing the transparent plate to the opening of the shell of parallelepipedal shape is limited to said two parts which simplifies assembly and reduces the time of assembly of said two parts as well as the cost of assembling and manufacturing the door of the household appliance oven.

According to Figure 1, a door of a microwave oven comprises, a
The
According to Figure 2, only the
The number of holding tabs is in no way limiting. Other arrangements can be envisaged, the only condition to be respected being the position of at least one retaining tab on each of the two
The
The
Said projections are positioned on the
In addition, the transparent plate has two
The mounting of the
According to Figure 3, the rotational movement of the
According to this same FIG. 4, the
According to Figure 5a, the
According to Figure 5b, in another embodiment, the
The invention applies to all the doors of household ovens and more particularly to that of a microwave oven.
