Description

The invention relates to a jewelry tray with an outer and an inner shell arranged therein, which have peripheral, upward or downward extending flange-like and interconnectable edge parts.

Conventional jewelry trays of the type mentioned regularly consist of thin-walled plastic shells that interlock so that they define a hollow body. Recesses or elevations are provided in the inner shell for receiving the jewelry, which at the same time serve to stiffen the jewelry tray. Since the wall thickness of the thin-walled shells is uniform, the connection in the area of the edge parts is not stable enough, so that the jewelry shells can be damaged. This can be remedied in part by increasing the wall thickness of the shells or by choosing a special plastic which ensures that a good connection is also ensured in the edge areas. However, this inevitably leads to either a more robust design or costly manufacture of the jewelry tray, which is undesirable. DE 90 03 525 U1 discloses a jewelry presentation drawer with a molded body based on rigid foam, which consists of a core made of rigid polystyrene foam. The core is from the bottom or from the top with one each deep-drawn plastic film body connected with peripheral edges. The actual drawer here is formed by the core. Finally, a jewelry drawer is disclosed in US 1781 779, which consists of an inner part, a stabilizing sleeve and an outer lining of the sleeve and the top of the inner part. The inner part is connected to the cladding by means of folds, and at the same time a firm connection between the sleeve and the two parts is established. A disadvantage of this jewelry drawer can be seen in the fact that the jewelry drawer can only be produced from materials that can be folded, which is not necessarily the case with thin-walled plastic trays.

Based on the above prior art, the invention has for its object to remedy this situation and to further develop the generic jewelry tray without undue design effort so that high stability and strength is ensured even when the wall thickness of the inner and outer shells is small is.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that a stabilizing sleeve is arranged in the joint of the edge parts and can be connected to the edge parts.

It can be seen that the invention is achieved in any case if the connection point of the edge parts is reinforced by additional stabilizing agents, which, however, hardly influence the appearance of the jewelry tray, since they hardly appear. The stabilizing body ensures that the outer shape of the jewelry tray is guaranteed even when the tray is loaded.

Further expedient and advantageous refinements of the invention emerge from the subclaims.

A particularly useful embodiment provides that the edge parts run approximately at right angles to the main planes of their shells and define the height of the jewelry tray. It is useful if the stabilizing sleeve is approximately L-shaped in cross section and if its vertical leg merges into a hook, the shorter section of which is directed downward. The task of the hook is to cover and protect the free end part of the outer shell, so that on the one hand it is not visually perceptible and on the other hand it cannot be detached from the stabilizing sleeve.

Another expedient embodiment provides that the stabilizing sleeve is an injection-molded part, while the shells are drawn parts. These measures enable simple, quick and inexpensive production of the individual parts of the jewelry tray.

Finally, it is provided that the outer wall of the shell is provided with a fabric covering.

Fig. 2
a section along the line II-II of FIG. 1st

Im zusammengebauten Zustand sind die beiden dünnwandigen Schalen 10 und 12 form- und kraftschlüssig miteinander verbindbar.1 shows a jewelry tray with an outer shell 10 and an inner shell 12, each of which has a peripheral, flange-like and interconnectable edge section 14, 16. The outer shell 10 is a body with a flat bottom 18 and an edge portion 14, while the inner shell 12 is essentially also a flat body with an edge portion 16, but it has several recesses 40 and 42 for receiving the Jewelry. In the assembled state, the two thin-walled shells 10 and 12 can be connected to one another in a positive and non-positive manner.

As can be seen in particular in FIG. 2, a dimensionally stable stabilizing sleeve 22 is arranged in the joint of the edge parts 14 and 16 and is firmly connected to the edge parts. The connection between the edge portion 14 and the vertical leg 24 of the stabilizing sleeve 22 can be made by ultrasonic welding, while the connection between the edge portion 16 of the inner shell 12 and the leg 24 can be produced, for example, by gluing. The bottom 18 of the outer shell 10 is connected to the horizontal leg 20 of the stabilizing sleeve 22, also by ultrasonic welding. The upper end of the vertical leg 24 of the stabilizing sleeve 22 ends in a hook 30 which is dimensioned such that a circumferential, downwardly open channel is formed, into which the upper end of the edge part 14 projects.

In general, the width of the groove formed by the hook 30 is dimensioned such that the edge portion 14 is arranged in a form-fitting manner in the groove.

The stabilizing sleeve is made of plastic and therefore forms an injection-molded plastic frame as an enclosure, while the shells are designed as drawn parts, which are made of plastic, the outside of which is provided with fabric. This on the one hand improves the appearance of the jewelry tray and on the other hand prevents it from being damaged e.g. Scratch, the jewelry is coming.
