Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for cleaning the inside of the tube of a heat exchanger according to the preamble of claim 1.
In the most diverse areas of technology, but above all in refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, heat exchangers are used in which the medium at a temperature level flows through bundles of pipes surrounded by a medium of a different temperature. With increasing use, a deposit layer forms on the inside of the pipes, which gives rise to a reduction in the performance of the heat exchanger and, in extreme cases, completely interrupts the circulation inside the pipe. From time to time, the inside of the pipes must therefore be cleaned. In the case of removable and transportable heat exchangers, cleaning takes place at central locations by means of partially or fully automated cleaning systems that work with high-pressure lances. In the case of stationary heat exchangers, on the other hand, the cleaning at the place of use must either be done manually using high-pressure lances and, often for reasons of space, with the aid of hoses through which the water is introduced at high pressure.
From FR-A-2 443 293 a generic device is known, in which a reel with a wound hose is mounted on a chassis. In order to remove deposits from pipe walls, a rigid pipe is positioned in front of the pipe to be cleaned, the hose which is subjected to high pressure water is unwound from the reel and pushed through the rigid pipe into the pipe to be cleaned.
It is to be regarded as disadvantageous that after the end of a cleaning process the operating tube is repositioned hydraulically or the entire carriage carrying the device has to be moved in a relatively time-consuming manner. The decisive disadvantage, however, is the danger to the workforce if the hose that is not attached to the pipe to be cleaned shoots back due to an added pipe and leaves the pipe, so that water escapes under high pressure and leaves serious and difficult-to-heal injuries when the staff is caught.
Proceeding from this, the invention has set itself the task of creating a device for cleaning the inside of the tubes of a stationary heat exchanger, which enables the operating personnel to work safely.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the hose is guided between the reel and the operating tube in a flexible guide hose is that the operating tube can be gripped and positioned manually, and that the operating tube has a fastening device which is suitable for fixing to the end face of the other tubes and which cannot be displaced in the axial and radial directions.
The inside of the pipe is cleaned by inserting the hose into the interior at the end, so that the water under high pressure blows up the deposits from the pipe walls. Two alternatives are conceivable for pulling in the hose: Either the outlet nozzles are directed towards the rear, ie towards the inlet end of the tube. Then the water escaping under high pressure causes the hose to pull itself into the pipe after threading and secondly that the deposits which have already been separated off are rinsed out without impeding the advance of the hose. In the case of other orientations of the outlet nozzles, for example radially or forwards, an additional feed device is required in the area of the operating tube, which causes the insertion. A hose can generally only be subjected to tension. The detached deposits are then preferably flushed outwards at the opposite end of the tube. The retraction of the hose required at the end of the cleaning process takes place via a further feed device which brings about the rolling up, for example in the form of a driven reel. In order to rule out any danger to the operator, the hose is guided in the operating tube and guide hose. The axial movement is set by actuating the feed device and / or by regulating the water flowing through.
The operating tube has a fastening device which serves to fix it on the end face of the tubes. It is attached to one of the (other) pipes at the start of the work and is advantageous in several ways. It allows an end fixation at a certain distance from the end of the tubes of the heat exchanger, so that the water flowing back can flow off easily. It also allows an increase in performance and a full use of the unit energy, since the high reaction forces of the water jet can be absorbed and derived by the heat exchanger itself, which relieves the strain on the operating personnel.
The function is as follows:
The unit as part of the device according to the invention is brought into position and connected in the area of the heat exchanger to be cleaned. At the front of the heat exchanger, the operator creates a safe stand. Particularly in the case of heavy soiling, the inlet opening of the tube is then cleaned, the end of the tube is inserted into a tube and drawn into the tube by connecting the water to high pressure by recoil or by the feed device. The operating tube is used for positioning and fixing. After cleaning, the hose with the feed device withdrawn again. A previously adjustable working length causes the hose to be drawn in up to the predetermined value and then the feed device to retract the hose is activated. Operation is easiest when the switches of the water supply unit and the feed devices are located in the area of the operating tube.
The advantage that can be achieved with the invention is the safe working method for the operating personnel. Another advantage is the possibility of use by a single person.
In particular, the fastening device is an expansion dowel which is inserted into one of the pipes at the beginning of the work and fixed there. Only then does cleaning begin by inserting the hose. For safety reasons, the work function can be prevented as long as the fastening device has not been activated.
Ergonomically advantageous is the design of the control tube in the form of a pistol with two handles, each of which has a pushbutton with spring-loaded reset, when actuated the control of the unit, the feed device or the fastening device is activated.
In an expedient embodiment, the provision of a plurality of hoses arranged parallel to one another in the operating tube is provided. In addition to successive cleaning, they also enable the simultaneous cleaning of several pipes by inserting the appropriate number of hoses. The distance between them in the fastening pipe must of course correspond to that of the heat exchanger pipes. Due to the changing distances, it is recommended in a further development to make the distance of the hoses changeable, preferably in the area of the operating tube.
Due to the fact that the deposits to be removed are located on the inside of the pipe, but on the other hand, the distance between the outlet nozzle and the inside wall of the pipe should be as small as possible to intensify cleaning (the remaining volume inside the pipe is also minimal), so the inside diameter of the pipe should be Tube chosen to be slightly larger than the outer diameter of the outlet nozzle. The adaptation of the nozzle diameter to that of the pipe is consequently advantageous in order to achieve an optimal cleaning effect.
The handling and the transfer from one tube to the other is particularly easier if the operating tube is carried by a balancer, which is to be understood as a device is, which supports the control tube with regard to its weight and always aligns parallel to the axis of the tubes. This considerably facilitates threading and the force required by the operator is minimal.
Depending on their use, heat exchangers or their deposits sometimes emit gases or vapors that tend to explode. In order not to ignite them during the cleaning process and to trigger explosions, it is finally advantageous to drive and actuate them pneumatically.
Further advantages of the invention can be found in the following description, in which an embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing.
