Sofern nun versucht wird, was in der Praxis nicht selten vorkommt, die bekannten Leimvorrichtungen zum Auftragen von Lack zu benutzen, muß auf den vergleichsweise dünnen Metallkern ein vergleichsweise dicker Bezug aufgebracht werden. In diesem Zusammenhang ist nämlich davon auszugehen, daß in jedem Falle ein dem Arbeitsdurchmesser der Druckwerkszylinder einer vorgeordneten Druckmaschine entsprechender Arbeitsdurchmesser der Arbeitszylinder der Leim- bzw. Lackiervorrichtung erreicht werden muß. Bisher muß daher das beim Lackieren Verwendung findende, vergleichsweise dünne Gummituch mit Auffütterungsmaterial unterlegt werden. Dies führt jedoch zu einem vergleichsweise dicken und dementsprechend sehr elastischen Gesamtbezug, was beim Auftragen von Lack ungünstig ist. Zudem besteht die Gefahr, daß ein derartiger, mehrlagiger Bezug auch nicht die erforderliche Haltbarkeit aufweist. Mit diesen Maßnahmen lassen sich die eingangs geschilderten Nachteile vollständig beseitigen. Die erfindungsgemäßen Maßnahmen bieten die Möglichkeit eines schnellen und einfachen Zylinderwechsels, so daß die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung schnell und einfach z.B. von Leimauftrag auf Lackauftrag umgerüstet werden kann und umgekehrt, wobei der Kerndurchmesser des Übertragungszylinders bzw. der Übertragungszylinder in jedem Falle den speziellen Bedürfnissen des Einzelfalls angepaßt sein kann. Die für Leimauftrag vorgesehene Kassette bzw. Kassetten kann bzw. können dementsprechend mit jeweils wenigstens einem Übertragungszylinder versehen sein, dessen Kerndurchmesser kleiner ist als der Kerndurchmesser des bzw. der Übertragungszylinder einer für Lackauftrag vorgesehenen Kassette. Eine Unterfütterung ist daher in vorteilhafter Weise nicht notwendig, was sich nicht nur vorteilhaft auf die erzielbare Oberflächenhärte, sondern auch auf die Zylinderhaltbarkeit auswirkt. Ein weiterer Vorteil der erfindungsgemäßen Maßnahmen ist darin zu sehen, daß durch Abnahme der Kassetten ein geräumiger Bypass für das Trägermaterial geschaffen werden kann, sofern die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung außer Betrieb sein soll. Es ist daher in vorteilhafter Weise nicht erforderlich, durch Verschwenken der Arbeitszylinder einen derartigen Bypass zu schaffen. Vielmehr ist lediglich die Wechselkassette abzunehmen. Außerdem ist vorteilhaft, daß die kassettenseitigen Arbeitszylinder bei abgenommener Kassette gut zugänglich sind, was die Reinigung, Wartung und Instandhaltung erleichtert. Die erfindungsgemäßen Maßnahmen ermöglichen zudem in vorteilhafter Weise auch eine Erweiterung einer zunächst vorhandenen Grundausrüstung Zug um Zug, indem einfach weitere Wechselkassetten angeschafft bzw. das Grundgestell mit einem Aufsatz versehen werden. Die Feuchtauftragwalze 23 kann dabei mit einem Strumpf aus Plüsch bezogen sein, so daß der zugeordnete Arbeitszylinder 2 gleichzeitig während des laufenden Betriebs permanent abgewischt und damit gereinigt wird. Die Feuchtauftragwalze 23 kann dementsprechend mit Relativdrehzahl gegenüber dem Arbeitszylinder 2 angetrieben werden. Als Feuchtmittel kann Wasser oder einfach das Offsetfeuchtmittel einer vorgeordneten Offsetdruckmaschine Verwendung finden. Da der Arbeitszylinder 2 hier einerseits mit einem farbabstoßenden Feuchtmittelfilm prepariert wird und andererseits permanent abgewischt wird, ist sichergestellt, daß die Umfangsfläche des Arbeitszylinders 2 über lange Betriebszeiten hinweg sauber gehalten werden kann. Claims (10)

  1. An apparatus for the laminar application of brushable media such as size, lacquer, etc, onto a preferably web-shaped substrate, especially a printed paper web (3), having two working cylinders (1, 2) limiting a working nip, through which the substrate can be passed, at least one of which is constructed as a transfer cylinder consisting of a core (4) with a circumferential covering (5), to which a supply mechanism (6) is associated, which preferably contains at least one applicator roll (7) which can be brought to abut the associated transfer cylinder,
    characterised by a stationary frame (12) comprising at least one supply mechanism (6) and a housing device (15) for a changing cassette (14), to which a changing cassette (14) provided with two working cylinders (1, 2) can be fixed.
  2. An apparatus according to Claim 1,
    characterised in that several changing cassettes (14), which can be fixed as one chooses to the frame (12), are provided, in which the working cylinders (1, 2) have the same working diameter, preferably corresponding to the diameter of the printing unit cylinders of a printing press provided in front, and at least partially varying core diameters.
  3. An apparatus according to one of the preceding Claims,
    characterised in that the stationary frame (12) comprises two supply mechanisms (6) disposed one above the other, with it being possible to place a working cylinder (1, 2), acting as a transfer cylinder, of a pair of working cylinders mounted on a changing cassette (14) against both supply mechanisms (6) or against one supply mechanism (6) as one chooses.
  4. An apparatus according to Claim 3,
    characterised in that the frame (12) is provided with an attachment comprising a second supply mechanism (6).
  5. An apparatus according to Claim 3 or 4,
    characterised in that at least one changing cassette (14) comprises two working cylinders (1, 2) having a circumferential rubber covering (5) and at least one changing cassette (14) comprises a working cylinder (1), which can be placed against a supply mechanism (6) and acts as a transfer cylinder, and a transfer cylinder (2) interacting therewith and acting as a support cylinder, which has a hard circumferential surface preferably made at least partially from chromium.
  6. An apparatus according to Claim 5,
    characterised in that a moistening and wiping device (22), which is mounted on the associated changing cassette (14) and can be charged with a dampening medium substantially consisting of water, preferably an offset dampening medium, and which has an applicator and dampening roll (23) covered with a hose preferably made from plush, which preferably interacts with an immersion roller (24) dipping into a vat of dampening medium, can be placed against the working cylinder (2) acting as the support cylinder.
  7. An apparatus according to one of the preceding Claims,
    characterised in that at least one applicator roll (7) mounted on the frame (12) is connected, as far as the drive is concerned, to the main drive of the machine (18),
    and in that at least the drive of the respective associated working cylinder (1, 2) on the cassette side can be derived therefrom.
  8. An apparatus according to Claim 7,
    characterised in that the applicator rolls (7) on the side of the frame and the working cylinders (1, 2) on the side of the cassette are provided with lateral cylinder gears which can be brought into mutual engagement.
  9. An apparatus according to one of the preceding Claims,
    characterised in that it is provided in front of a drier.
  10. An apparatus according to one of the preceding Claims,
    characterised in that the working cylinders (1, 2) on the cassette side can be placed closer to one another and be placed away from another by means of a starting and stopping mechanism of a printing press preferably disposed in front thereof.
