Abstract

A wringing device for cleaning elements of wet cleaning apparatuses, in particular wet mops or the like, has a liquid-permeable, basket-type receptacle which is mounted in a stationary manner, for example on the rim of a bucket, and in which a cleaning element can be wrung out by pressing it in. In order to achieve easier and more efficient wringing, provision is made for the receptacle to be deformable by means of the force acting when the cleaning element is pressed in with reduction of its clear width and squeezing of the cleaning element. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a wringing device for cleaning elements of wet cleaning devices, in particular wet mops or the like, with a liquid-permeable receptacle, which is stationary, for. B. is stored on the edge of a cleaning bucket and in which a cleaning element can be wrung out by pressing in, the receptacle being reduced by the force acting upon pressing in the cleaning element, its clear width and thereby compressing the cleaning element.

In connection with the invention, primarily wet mops come into question which are provided with cleaning elements made of sponge, cloth, bundles, strips, cloths, yarns or the like and which have to be wrung out in order to remove excess liquid. However, the invention can also be used for dish mops, bulbs or even brushes.

A wringing device of the type mentioned at the beginning (US 26 10 348), which is placed and fastened on a cleaning bucket, has a V-shaped receptacle with two articulated, perforated plates. The rectangular plates slotted downwards are held in a spread position by leg springs. By pushing in a wet mop, the plates move towards each other against the spring force and squeeze out the cleaning element.

Another known wringing device (DE 34 21 147 A1) with an attachment for a cleaning bucket has a funnel sieve tapering downwards and three holding claws with which the attachment can be placed on the opening edge of the cleaning bucket. The cleaning element is pressed into the funnel sieve from above. The rigid funnel sieve counteracts the pressing force, so that the cleaning element is pressed together and the liquid absorbed in the cleaning element is pressed out. The liquid can drain through the funnel sieve into the cleaning bucket.

A comparable wringing device for a wet mop having a bundled scrubbing curtain is known from DE 20 36 622 B2. Here again the cleaning element, that is the scrubbing curtain, is pressed into a perforated, tapering vessel which is fixed on the edge of a cleaning bucket.

Vergleichbare Vorrichtungen sind in den Druckschriften DE 25 04 957 A1, DE 15 03 753 A1, US 1 748 756 B1 sowie DE 77 30 172 U1, DE 78 14 317 U1 und DE 85 28 826 U1 beschrieben.Comparable devices are described in the publications DE 25 04 957 A1, DE 15 03 753 A1, US 1 748 756 B1 and DE 77 30 172 U1, DE 78 14 317 U1 and DE 85 28 826 U1.

No. 2,465,294 B1 describes a funnel sieve which is fixed on the edge of a cleaning bucket. The funnel sieve is made of resilient material, slotted along a surface line and provided with a driver on the inside, so that when a pug inserted into the funnel sieve is turned, the sieve is pulled together in a spiral. This is intended to achieve better squeezing.

All these devices have the disadvantage that only a small part of the liquid can be removed from the cleaning element with a relatively large amount of force. In the latter device, a rotary movement is required in addition to pressing in the cleaning element. This type of wringing device also has a complex structure and can only be used for cleaning devices or elements that are specially matched to it. The first-mentioned device also has a complicated structure due to the complicated mounting on the bucket and the necessary spring. In addition, only a small part of the liquid can be removed from the cleaning element, since the pressure only acts on the cleaning element from opposite sides.

The invention has for its object to provide a wringing device that allows easier and more efficient wringing of cleaning elements with little design effort.

The object is achieved in that the receptacle has the shape of a funnel, the wall of which consists of at least two wall parts, at least one of which can be shaped by the pressing force in the sense of reducing the clear width. Here is the invention Based on the principle that the pressing force acting in the pressing direction is also converted into force components acting on all sides on the cleaning element. For example, the cleaning element is simply pressed in and considerably more liquid is pressed out of the cleaning element than in the known devices by additional pressure forces acting from the sides of the funnel walls. This enables easier wringing out, since a lower pressing force is now required to achieve the same effect. Furthermore, with a corresponding translation between the pushing-in movement and the reduction in the clear width of the receptacle, which can be achieved by a corresponding design and dimensioning of the receptacle and its formability, a significantly increased pressing-out force can be achieved compared to the pressing-in force, which is essentially due to the funnel-shaped Design acts on the cleaning element from all sides.

In order to allow a good drainage of squeezed liquid from the receptacle and a simple structure, it is provided that the wall has slots extending in the direction of insertion, between which the wall parts are formed.

In order to prevent a cleaning element from being pushed through the receptacle, it is provided that the wall parts have a common bottom that closes the receptacle in the direction of insertion.

In order to ensure sufficient mobility of the wall parts movable for lateral pressing, it is provided that the wall parts are flexibly connected to the floor.

In a preferred embodiment it is provided that the receptacle at least partially consists of resilient material. As a result, the receptacle is reset to its initial position after the cleaning element has been pressed out and removed. The same effect can also be achieved by additional springs or spring elements, but this preferred embodiment allows simple manufacture.

In a first embodiment it is provided that the wall parts are curved in an arcuate or V-shaped cross section and are fixed to their outer legs, while the inner legs can be moved towards one another in order to reduce the clear width. It is further provided that the free ends of the outer legs of the wall parts are fixed to a rigid holding frame surrounding the receptacle and that the holding frame has an opening surrounding the funnel. In this way, an effective wringing device is formed which, in addition, by the dimensioning of the receptacle, permits a suitable translation of the pressing-in force to an essentially laterally acting pressing-out force. With this dimensioning, the ratio of the outwardly folded outer legs, which run back approximately parallel to the direction of insertion, to the diameter of the opening of the holding frame and also to the longitudinal extension of the inner legs of the wall parts is particularly important.

A second simple embodiment is given in that the receptacle consists of wall parts arranged in a star shape in the projection, which are folded up to form a funnel with slots, and in that the funnel-shaped receptacle can be inserted into the opening of the holding frame by reducing the funnel angle.

Here, only the otherwise essentially rigid wall parts have to be connected in an articulated manner to the central base of the receptacle. This results in a particularly good squeezing effect if the cleaning elements are approximately adapted to the funnel shape and / or if the wall parts form a shape adapted to the cleaning element, such as a spherical cone.

In order to prevent the receptacle from slipping through the opening of the holding frame, it is provided that the wall parts of the receptacle have an outwardly bent edge for resting on the edge of the opening of the holding frame.

The wringing device shown in FIG. 1 as the first embodiment is designed as an attachment for a cleaning bucket 1 and has a holding frame 2 with a receptacle 3 for a cleaning element (not shown) of a wet cleaning device. The recording 3 is funnel-shaped and consists of elastically deformable wall parts 4 arranged at a distance from one another, which form a common base 5 with a base plate 6. The wall parts 4 are curved in an arc or V-shape and fixed with their outer legs 7 to the holding frame 2, while they are brought together with their inner legs 9 on the bottom 5. The apexes 8 of the wall parts 4 circumscribe an insertion opening for a cleaning element. In a preferred embodiment, the holding frame 2 and base plate 6 consist of a stable, rigid plastic, whereas the wall parts 4 consist of a flexible plastic.

When a moist cleaning element is pressed in from above, the bottom 5 of the receptacle 3 is pressed downwards in accordance with arrow 10. 5 tensile forces are transmitted from the floor to the inner legs 9 of the wall parts 4, which act in the area of the apex 8 as bending moments on the outer legs 7 of the wall parts 4, so that they deform elastically inwards. Here, the apexes 8 of the wall parts 4 are moved towards one another and bring about a reduction in the clear width of the insertion opening and a movement of the inner legs 9 toward one another. As a result, squeezing forces act on the cleaning element from the side and of course from below. By means of a suitable dimensioning of the wall parts 4 and the opening of the holding frame 2, a desired ratio between the push-in path of the receptacle 3 in the direction of the arrow 10 and the path of the legs 9 in the direction of the arrow 11 which is decisive for the pressing out can be achieved. The liquid squeezed out of the cleaning element can easily run into the cleaning bucket 1 between the wall parts 4.

Die Wandteile 23 sind vorteilhafterweise an ihrem freien Ende nach außen zu einem Rand 25 abgebogen.FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment of the wringing device with a funnel-shaped receptacle 20 and a separate frame 21. The frame 21 lies on the edge of a cleaning bucket 22. The wall of the receptacle 20 is formed by individual tongue-shaped wall parts 23, which converge in a star shape in a common base 24 and are flexibly connected to this. The wall parts 23 are advantageously bent outwards at their free end to form an edge 25.

The funnel-shaped receptacle 20 is made of resilient material and engages in an opening in the frame 21. When a cleaning element is pressed into the receptacle 20, it is pushed through the opening of the frame 21, the rigid opening edge of the frame 21 causing the wall parts 23 to be compressed. This means that when a cleaning element is pressed in in the direction of arrow 27, the receptacle 20 is pressed into the frame 21 itself, the wall parts 23 of the receptacle 20 migrating inwards according to arrow 28 and causing the cleaning element to be pressed out. So that the squeezed liquid can drain off well, the bottom 24 of the receptacle 20, as can be seen in FIG. 4, has a hole 26. In addition, the liquid can also drain through the slots 29 formed between the wall parts 23. So that the receptacle 20 cannot slip through the frame 21 when pressed in, the outer ends of the wall parts 23 have the above-mentioned edge 25, which lies in the end position on the opening edge of the frame 21. In order to be able to operate the wringing device easily, a sliding coating can be provided on the surfaces sliding on one another, in particular on the opening edge of the frame 21. This will also the restoring force required for a reset, which is preferably provided by the inherent elasticity of the wall parts 4, is reduced.

In all embodiments, the receptacle is preferably designed so that restoring forces are stored in the wall, the wall parts or their connection during the pressing in, which are released after the cleaning element is removed and return the receptacle to its original position.
