  • an armored analysis chain comprises a series of sealed analysis boxes communicating with one another through passages and surrounded, as well as these, by biological protection.
  • Remote handling means such as tweezers or remote manipulators allow operators located outside the biological protection to perform different analyzes inside each box as well as the handling of products in and between boxes -this.
  • each armored chain of analysis is carried out in a personalized way, that is to say that it is designed for a well-defined use and frozen once and for all. This leads, on the one hand, to a very high cost price for each armored chain and, on the other hand, to make the technical development of the chains produced very difficult.
  • the supply of an armored personalized analysis chain represents approximately 10,000 hours of study.
  • the subject of the invention is precisely an armored analysis chain, the modular structure of which makes it possible to considerably reduce the cost of its manufacture, the study of a new chain being able, for example, to be reduced to approximately 1,500 hours, the modular nature of the chain also making it possible to modify the latter and to ensure its maintenance in a particularly simple, rapid and inexpensive manner.

The invention relates to an armored analysis chain, of modular design, making it possible to successively carry out a certain number of analyzes on products such as radioactive products requiring biological protection.

In practice, an armored analysis chain comprises a series of sealed analysis boxes communicating with one another through passages and surrounded, as well as these, by biological protection. Remote handling means such as tweezers or remote manipulators allow operators located outside the biological protection to perform different analyzes inside each box as well as the handling of products in and between boxes -this.

Usually, each armored chain of analysis is carried out in a personalized way, that is to say that it is designed for a well-defined use and frozen once and for all. This leads, on the one hand, to a very high cost price for each armored chain and, on the other hand, to make the technical development of the chains produced very difficult. For example, the supply of an armored personalized analysis chain represents approximately 10,000 hours of study.

The subject of the invention is precisely an armored analysis chain, the modular structure of which makes it possible to considerably reduce the cost of its manufacture, the study of a new chain being able, for example, to be reduced to approximately 1,500 hours, the modular nature of the chain also making it possible to modify the latter and to ensure its maintenance in a particularly simple, rapid and inexpensive manner.

According to the invention, this result is obtained by means of an armored analysis chain comprising a series of sealed analysis boxes communicating with each other by passages, biological protection surrounding said boxes and said passages, components of analysis placed in each of the analysis boxes, gripping means for carrying out manipulations inside each box, from outside the biological protection, and means for introducing products into at least one of the analysis boxes and for extracting these products, characterized in that the analysis boxes are standardized according to at most two different models, one of which is provided with part of said means for introducing and extracting the products, each of standardized boxes comprising several identical access orifices, the analysis components being standardized and fixed in a sealed and removable manner in gold ifices of access, so that an active part of each component is placed in the sealed box and a control part of this component is placed outside the box, inside the biological protection, the latter comprising removable plugs allowing the assembly and disassembly of at least the control part of each component.

More precisely, each standardized box includes a front face, a rear face and two side faces.

The front face of each standardized box is traversed by the gripping means, constituted for example by pliers or telemanipulators, and it advantageously comprises at least one standardized transparent wall and fixed in a sealed and interchangeable manner on the box, opposite a window formed in biological protection.

The rear face of each standardized box comprises at least one horizontal part on which are welded the access orifices used to receive the analysis components. When the box belongs to the model provided with a part of the means for introducing and extracting the products, the rear face of this box also comprises, below the substantially horizontal wall, at least one access opening normally closed by a door.

In addition, each of the two side faces of each standardized box has a connection orifice. The holes at the end of the chain as well as some others can be closed by standardized shutter doors.

The connection orifices of two neighboring boxes are connected by the aforementioned passages, which are formed in standardized intermediate partitions, detachably linked to biological protection.

  • une cloison pleine, dépourvue de porte ;
  • une cloison de protection biologique, équipée d'une porte, de moyens de commande de cette porte, de moyens de liaison étanche entre le passage formé dans la cloison et les orifices de liaison des boîtes voisines, et d'une tablette de transfert mobile entre ces boîtes ;
These standardized intermediate partitions are chosen from three different models including:
  • a solid partition, without door;
  • a biological protection partition, equipped with a door, means for controlling this door, sealing means between the passage formed in the partition and the connection orifices of neighboring boxes, and a mobile transfer shelf between these boxes;
  • a solid partition, devoid of a door and equipped with sealed connection means between the passage formed in the partition and the connection orifices of the neighboring boxes, and of a mobile transfer shelf between these boxes.

Preferably, the biological protection is also formed of standardized elements, advantageously made of cast iron, comprising, for each of the boxes a standardized front wall provided with at least one porthole and through which the gripping means pass, a standardized lower slab, provided with means for positioning the box, a standardized rear wall, removable and standardized upper elements of the rear wall, and a standardized roof provided with said removable plugs; the standardized elements of biological protection further comprising standardized right and left end walls.

In the case where the analysis boxes comprise part of the means for introducing and extracting the products, the standardized lower rear wall of the biological protection comprises an opening equipped with an access door for weights.

Advantageously, the standardization of the armored analysis chain also relates to frames on which the biological protection associated with each of the standardized boxes rests, lower and upper control consoles through which the various fluids used to control the analysis components arrive. and to carry out the analyzes proper, as well as elements connecting a siphon formed in the bottom of each of the boxes to a drain channel provided in the ground.

Finally, each of the analysis components advantageously comprises a standard flange equipped with means of orientation, centering and tight fixing of this flange on one of the access orifices. In addition, standardized full flanges forming a shutter are provided to be fixed in leaktight manner in the access openings which remain unoccupied.

A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described, by way of nonlimiting example, with reference to the appended drawings, in which:
  • Figure 1 is a perspective view exploded view representing an armored analysis chain in accordance with the invention, formed of two juxtaposed analysis boxes;

  • FIG. 9 represents on a larger scale the encircled part IX of FIG. 7.

The armored analysis chain illustrated in FIG. 1 usually comprises a certain number of sealed analysis boxes 10, connected to each other by passages 12, the assembly being placed inside a biological protection 14. Only two watertight boxes 10 have been shown in FIG. 1, to facilitate understanding, but it will easily be understood that the number of boxes used in a determined armored analysis chain can be any and much more than two.

Each of the sealed analysis boxes 10 corresponds to a work station in which operators can carry out on one or more products the desired successive analyzes, using appropriate analysis components, mounted in each of the boxes.

The handling of the products is carried out in the example shown using two remote manipulators 16 for each of the boxes 10, but it will easily be understood that these remote manipulators can be replaced by any other gripping means such as pliers.

To allow operators to carry out the analyzes in good conditions, each of the boxes 10 is equipped with a transparent wall 18 which is placed opposite a porthole 20 crossing the front wall of the biological protection 14, on the same side as the remote manipulators 16. An illumination 22 (FIG. 2) is also placed inside each of the boxes 10, in order to improve the conditions for handling the products.

According to the invention, the armored analysis chain is given a modular structure on the basis of which chains adapted to different needs can be designed and produced in a particularly simple, rapid and inexpensive manner. In addition, this modular design makes it possible to intervene on a chain, either to carry out maintenance or to make certain modifications (for example, removal of an out of service box and installation of a new box of the same type , without stopping the the rest of the chain), in an equally simple and inexpensive manner.

Thus, each of the analysis boxes 10 is standardized and can be chosen from two different models, depending on whether or not it is necessary to be able to introduce or extract products therefrom.

The sealed analysis boxes 10 of the two models have completely identical dimensions and shapes. They comprise a flat front face 10a, slightly inclined upwards, a rear face 10b comprising a flat and vertical lower part and an upper stepped part forming two substantially horizontal walls 10c and 10′c situated at two different levels, like the illustrates in particular Figure 3.

Each of the sealed analysis boxes 10 further comprises a substantially planar and horizontal bottom 10d and a substantially planar and horizontal ceiling 10e. Finally, it can be seen in particular in FIGS. 1 and 5 that the boxes 10 also comprise two side faces 10f which are substantially planar and vertical.

On each of the two models of standardized boxes, the front face 10a is identical and includes two supports 24 for the enclosure ring (FIG. 1), for crossing the remote manipulators 16. In addition, the front face 10a supports the transparent wall 18, which is standardized. The transparent wall 18 is fixed in a sealed and removable manner on the front face 10a, by fixing means such as nuts accessible by the front wall of the biological protection 14, after removal of removable plugs 25 (FIG. 3) housed in this front wall. The replacement of the transparent wall 18 is effected by a hole formed in the roof of the biological protection 14 and normally closed by a plug 26, after removal of the remote manipulators 16 and their supports 24 integral from box 10.

The stepped shape given to the upper part of the rear wall 10b of each of the standardized boxes 10 makes it possible to provide a space between the biological protection 14 and the substantially horizontal walls 10c and 10′c, which are located above the interior volume. to the corresponding box 10. Thanks to this arrangement, standardized analysis components such as that 28 which is illustrated diagrammatically in FIGS. 2 and 3 can be fixed at will, in leaktight and removable manner, in identical access orifices 30 formed in the walls 10c. and 10′c. These access orifices 30, which are circular in shape, are distributed regularly over the entire length of the walls 10c and 10′c, each of these walls comprising six orifices 30 aligned in the example described.

More specifically, the orifices 30 are formed in sockets 32 which project upwards from each of the walls 10c and 10′c. Each of the analysis components 28 comprises an active part 28a, which is introduced inside the box 10 through the access port 30, and a control part 28b which remains outside the box. 10, in the space formed between the latter and the biological protection 14. A flange 28c separating the parts 28a and 28b of each component comes to rest in a sealed manner on the socket 30 when the active part 28a is introduced into the box 10. Each component 28 is also equipped with a centering cylinder positioned in the socket 32, an orientation pin associated with the flange 28c and cooperating with a notch formed in the socket 32 and captive screws ensuring the fixing of the component on the socket.

The standardized nature of the analysis components 28 makes it possible to equip each of the analysis boxes 10 with the components necessary for carrying out the analyzes you want to perform in this box. the implantation of the components 28 on one or the other of the substantially horizontal walls 10c and 10′c can, as the case may be, be indifferent or on the contrary imposed by the more or less significant bulk of the active part 28a and of the control part 28b of this component.

So that the tightness of each of the analysis boxes 10 is preserved even when the number of analysis components 28 associated with this box is less than the number of access orifices 30 in the box, the remaining orifices are closed by standardized solid flanges 34, forming shutters which are fixed in leaktight manner on the sockets 32, by means similar to the means for fixing the components 28 described above.

The standardized nature of the analysis components 28 therefore makes it possible both to facilitate the creation of any new armored analysis chain and to modify an existing armored analysis chain, by replacing one or more of the analysis components 28 with d 'other components or by identical components when one of them fails. These possibilities allow a technological evolution, with the study and the installation of new components corresponding to new needs of the operators, which is difficult to envisage in the old design of the cells.

To allow the replacement of standardized analysis components 28 and the installation and removal of standardized solid flanges 34, the biological protection 14 surrounding the armored chain is equipped, in the part of the roof overhanging the access orifices 30 with each of the boxes 10 of several removable standard stoppers 36, and in the rear wall, of removable and standardized upper elements 38.

When replacing a standardized analysis component 28, the confinement of the corresponding analysis box 10 is preserved by placing, around the sleeve 32, a vinyl sleeve, the ends of which are placed, respectively, in a groove provided on the flange 28c of the component and in a groove formed on the sleeve 32. The length of the vinyl sleeve is chosen as a function of the length of the active part 28a of the component.

Furthermore, each of the lateral faces 10f of the analysis modules 10 comprises a circular connection orifice 40, delimited by a flange 42, as illustrated in particular in FIGS. 2 and 3. The connection orifices 40 formed on the two lateral faces 10f opposite boxes 10 are arranged coaxially, so that these orifices 40 are naturally aligned when the boxes 10 are assembled to form an armored analysis chain according to the invention.

Each of the analysis boxes 10 is equipped with more than a certain number of arrangements, which are completely identical from one box to another, for each of the two aforementioned models.

These arrangements include a siphon 43 for discharging used liquids, welded into the bottom 10b of the box 10, approximately at its center (FIGS. 2 and 3). These arrangements also include various pipes.

In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, these pipes consist of two series of three pipes 44 for the arrival of reactants which are welded to the front face 10a of the box 10 in the vicinity of the roof 10th and in the vicinity of each of the side faces 10f. These pipes include also a set of pipes (not shown), welded to the walls of the box and allowing, after connection, to carry out washing and decontamination operations inside the box.

The additional arrangements of each of the boxes 10 also include the transparent wall 18 described above and the lighting modules 22. With regard to the latter, each of the boxes 10 contains two lighting modules 22 which are arranged against the front face 10a of the box, on either side of the transparent wall 18. Each module 22 comprises a glass envelope tightly connected to the roof 10e and into which is inserted interchangeably a lighting assembly, so that the latter is removable without breaking the seal of the box. The replacement of a lighting assembly can thus be carried out by the roof of the biological protection 14. In addition, the glass envelopes of the lighting modules 22 can also be replaced. The tightness of the analysis box 10 is then preserved by placing a vinyl bag around the glass envelope, in the same way as when replacing one of the analysis components 28.

The only difference between the two models of standardized analysis boxes 10 concerns the vertical lower part of the rear face 10b of these boxes. Indeed, on the boxes provided with means for introducing and extracting the products, this part of the rear face 10b has a circular access opening 45 (FIG. 2), delimited by a flange and normally closed by a standardized door 46. This opening 45 is placed opposite a circular opening 48 formed in the rear wall of the biological protection 14, this opening 48 being normally closed by a flyweight door 50.

As illustrated very diagrammatically in FIG. 2, this arrangement makes it possible to introduce and extract products without breaking the seal of the corresponding box 10, by means of a transport container 52, of the type known, internally equipped with a mobile container (not shown) capable of coming to be coupled directly on the flange delimiting the access opening 45, when the container 52 has been fixed on the biological protection 14 and the flyweight door 50 has been opened. In a manner well known to operators, the transport container 52 is mounted during this operation on a carriage 54.

Chacune des boîtes d'analyse 10 du modèle équipé de l'ouverture d'accès 45 comporte également dans la partie basse de sa face arrière 10b un orifice de raccordement complémentaire (non représenté) obturé par un bouchon standardisé (non représenté).Each of the analysis boxes 10 of the model equipped with the access opening 45 also comprises, in the lower part of its rear face 10b, a complementary connection orifice (not shown) closed by a standardized plug (not shown).

The analysis boxes 10 which are devoid of means for introducing and extracting the products are distinguished from the previous ones by the fact that the lower part of the rear face 10b comprises two connection orifices (not shown) closed by standardized plugs. The connection orifices provided on the two models of boxes are located opposite removable and waterproof plugs 60 placed on the rear wall of the biological protection 14, as shown in FIG. 1.

In order to complete the modular nature of the analysis boxes 10 which have just been described, the other elements of the armored analysis chain, and in particular the biological protection 14, are also produced in a modular fashion, using a number of standardized parts.

So and as illustrated in particular Figure 1, the biological protection 14 consists of a number of standardized elements which are advantageously made of cast iron, in order to facilitate manufacture.

In the part of the biological protection 14 which surrounds each of the analysis boxes 10, these standardized elements include a standardized front wall 62, a standardized lower slab 64, a standardized rear lower wall 66, the upper elements 38, already described, which can be dismantled and standardized of the rear wall, and a standardized roof 68. The biological protection is supplemented, in the parts located between two adjacent boxes 10, by a standardized upper cap 70 and a standardized rear pillar 72. Finally, it is closed at both ends of the armored chain of analysis by standardized right and left end walls 74 and 76.

These different parts all exist in a single model, with the exception of the standard rear wall 66, for a given thickness of biological protection. Of course, if the armored analysis chains must include biological protections of different thicknesses, depending on the internal activity of the box, a model of each of the aforementioned standardized elements is provided for each of these thicknesses.

As regards the standardized rear lower wall 66, there are two models for each thickness of biological protection, depending on whether the corresponding box 10 is or is not equipped with means for introducing and extracting the products. When the box 10 is equipped with such means, the standardized lower wall 66 comprises the passage 48 able to be closed by the flyweight door 50, as well as a plug 60, as shown on the right of FIG. 1 On the contrary, when the box 10 is devoid means for introducing and extracting products, the standardized rear lower wall 66 has only two plugs 60, as shown on the left in FIG. 1.

Each of the standardized front walls 62 of the biological protection 14 is provided approximately in its center with the porthole 20 and comprises above the latter two through holes for the remote manipulators 16. The standardized front wall 62 further includes the plugs 25 (FIG. 3) providing access to the retaining elements of the transparent wall 18 of the corresponding box 10. This wall rests by its lower edge on the standardized lower slab 64, to which it is fixed.

The standardized lower slab 64 comprises support members and positioning pins 77 (FIGS. 2 and 3) by which the corresponding analysis box 10 rests in a well-determined location on the slab 64. Each of the lower slabs 64 is based on a standardized chassis 78, equipped with leveling screws (not shown) and supporting all of the biological protection 14 associated with each of the boxes 10, as well as the box itself and the ancillary elements which will be described later.

The standardized roof 68 comprises plugs 26 and 36 respectively allowing access to the transparent wall 18 and to the analysis components 28 of the analysis box 10 placed below this roof.

To ensure sealed communication between the analysis boxes 10 through the passages 12 between the connection orifices 40 of the adjacent boxes, the shielded analysis chain further comprises standardized intermediate partitions such as that which is illustrated. at 80 in FIG. 1. Depending on the nature of the operations which are carried out in the adjacent boxes 10 separated by this intermediate partition 80, three different models of partitions can be used. Two of these models will now be described, referring successively to Figures 5 and 6 and Figures 7 to 10. In all cases, the intermediate partition 80 is associated with the upper plug 70 and the rear pillar 72, in order to ensuring the connection and maintenance between the front and rear parts of the biological protection 14 in the armored chain.

The standard intermediate partition model not shown in the figures is the simplest. It consists of a solid partition, made for example of cast iron, simply provided with a circular passage aligned with the connection orifices 40 of the boxes between which this partition is placed. In the case where such an intermediate partition is used, the connection orifices of the adjacent boxes 10 must be fitted with standardized shutter doors 82 as illustrated in FIG. 1.

The solid partition constituting this first model of intermediate partition 80 is provided on its two faces with vertical guide grooves facilitating the introduction and removal of the analysis boxes 10, after removal of the standardized roof 68 placed above each box and upper elements 38 of the rear wall of the biological protection.

In a second model of standardized intermediate partition, illustrated in FIGS. 4 to 6 and generally designated by the reference 80a, this intermediate partition also comprises a solid partition 84, preferably made of cast iron to facilitate its manufacture. This solid partition 84 is positioned and fixed on the lower slabs standardized 64 supporting the two adjacent boxes 10, for example by means of centering pins 86 and screws 88.

Opposite the connection orifices 40 formed in the adjacent boxes 10, the solid partition 84 supports a tubular tunnel 90, made for example of stainless steel. This tunnel internally delimits the passage 12 ensuring communication between the boxes 10 through the connection orifices 40 of the latter.

The opposite ends of the metal bellows 92a are tightly connected on the ends of the tunnel 90 by chain collars 94a, only one of which has been placed on the right of FIG. 4, and illustrated on a larger scale in FIG. 6.

The links of the chain collars 94a have an inner groove provided with inclined sides which cooperate with complementary surfaces formed on the end flanges of the tunnel 90 and metal bellows 92a. This arrangement makes it possible, when tightening the chain collars 94a, to apply the flanges formed at the ends of the tunnel 90 tightly against the flanges formed at the ends of the metal bellows 92a.

Each of the chain collars 94a is formed of links 95a, hinged together by links 96a. The tightening is ensured by a nut 97a screwed onto a threaded rod 98a articulated on one of the end links, this nut being able to be received in an imprint formed in the other end link.

When open, the collars chains 94a are received in cradles 99a fixed on the tunnel 90. A hook 100a, formed on the end link carrying the aforementioned imprint, is then placed on a rod 101a (Figure 6) secured to the partition 84. The two ends of the chain collar 94a therefore remain accessible from above when the collar is open and this open position of the chain collar allows the establishment and removal of the metal bellows 92a.

The standardized intermediate partition 80a further comprises a mobile shelf 102a allowing the transfer of analysis elements between the adjacent boxes 10. The tablet 102a rolls on a support 103a which rests on supports 104a fixed on the flanges 42, inside each of the boxes 10. The mobile tablet 102a and its support 103a can be introduced or removed by the container 52, in the one of the boxes 10 providing access to this container.

As in the model described above, the solid partition 84 comprises, in its part located towards the front of the armored analysis chain, lateral guides (not shown) allowing the pre-guiding of the analysis boxes 10 during their installation and removal after removal of the biological protection roof.

La cloison intermédiaire standardisée est désignée dans ce cas par la référence 80b.We will now describe with reference to FIGS. 7 to 9 the third model of standardized intermediate partition which can be used in the armored chain. The standardized intermediate partition is designated in this case by the reference 80b.

This third model differs mainly from the previous one by the fact that it is equipped with a door whose control is motorized. In a variant (not shown), the door is controlled manually. This third model also stands out from the previous one by the fact that it provides a sealed connection between two consecutive boxes 10 and that it constitutes biological protection between these boxes. This model therefore makes it possible to isolate the boxes one from the other and to change any box in the chain if necessary, by intervening only on the module concerned.

In the model illustrated in FIGS. 7 to 9, the standardized intermediate partition 80b comprises a mechanically welded frame 105 in which an armored door 106 can slide vertically, sheathed in stainless steel. The mechanically welded frame 105 has in its lower part a circular opening forming the passage 12, this opening being open or closed depending on whether the door 106 is in the high position or in the low position.

As illustrated more precisely in FIG. 9, the passage 12 is extended on either side of the mechanically welded frame 105 by two sleeves 108 welded to the frame and terminated at their ends by flanges. As in the model described above with reference to FIGS. 4 to 6, these flanges have inclined faces complementary to the inclined flanks of an internal groove formed in the links of a chain collar 94b used to tightly fix a flange d end of a metal bellows 92b on the sleeve 108. The opposite end of each of the metal bellows 92b comprises a second flange which is tightly fixed on the flange 42 of the corresponding box 10 for example by means of screws 110.

As illustrated in particular in FIGS. 7 and 8, each of the chain collars 94b is guided and retained in a cradle 99b which is fixed to the corresponding sleeve 108, for example by screws (not shown). As in the intermediate partition model standardized described above, the cradles 99b allow access from above to the upper ends of the chain collars 94b, when these are open. In addition, these cradles are open upward so as to allow the establishment and removal of the metal bellows 92b.

The control of the ascent and descent of the door 106 inside the mechanically welded frame is ensured, through the upper plug 70 of the biological protection, by means of a screw 111 (FIG. 8), integral with the door 106, and of a rotary nut 112. The nut 112 also passes through the part of the frame 105 situated above the door 106 and, above the upper plug 70, it is rotated by a geared motor 114 housed in a housing 116.

A flywheel 118 can be placed on an operating square 119 located at the upper end of the output shaft of the gearmotor 114, above the casing 116, in order to control a manual opening or closing of the door 106, in when necessary.

A l'intérieur du carter 116 sont également logées deux butées de fin de course 120 (figure 8), sensibles à la rotation d'un disque 121 entraîné en rotation par l'arbre d'entraînement du système vis-écrou 112, par l'intermédiaire d'une courroie d'entraînement 122 et d'un motoréducteur 123.Inside the casing 116 are also housed two limit stops 120 (FIG. 8), sensitive to the rotation of a disc 121 driven in rotation by the drive shaft of the screw-nut system 112, by the 'via a drive belt 122 and a geared motor 123.

In order to ensure the tight closure of the passage 12 when the door 106 is closed, the latter is equipped, on each of its faces, with an inflatable seal 124 housed in a groove and which surrounds the passage 12 when the door is closed . The swelling of the seals 124, controlled through a telescopic vertical pipe 125, therefore has the effect of applying these seals sealingly against the radial faces of the recess in which the door 106 slides, inside the frame 105.

Cette tablette 102b roule sur un support 103b qui repose sur des appuis 104b fixés à l'intérieur de chacune des boîtes 10.As for the standardized intermediate partition model described above with reference to FIGS. 4 to 6, the partition 80b illustrated in FIG. 7, includes a transfer shelf 102b by means of which analysis elements can be transported from a box in the other. This tablet 102b rolls on a support 103b which rests on supports 104b fixed inside each of the boxes 10.

The positioning and fixing of the standardized intermediate partition 80b on the standardized lower slabs 64 are also ensured by centralizers 86 secured to the corresponding standardized lower slab 64 and by screws 88.

Lateral guides (not shown) located towards the front of the chain are mounted on the frame 104 in order to allow the pre-guiding of the analysis boxes 10 during their installation and their removal.

The modular design of the armored analysis chain shown in the figures is also found in the consoles and in the circuits which make it possible to control the analysis components 28 mounted on each of the analysis boxes as well as the input and the output. fluids necessary for these analyzes and the operations resulting therefrom.

Thus, the modular nature of the armored chain also relates to ventilation means associated with each of the analysis boxes 10, an upper console from which can in particular be controlled the introduction into the analysis boxes of the various fluids necessary for these analyzes, a lower console from which the pneumatic servocontrol of the various analysis components 28 can in particular be controlled, as well as the mechanical structures allowing to connect the siphon 43 welded in the bottom of each of the analysis boxes 10 to a drain channel for discharging used fluids.

As regards first of all the ventilation means associated with each of the analysis boxes 10, they comprise, as illustrated in particular in FIG. 2, a standardized ventilation assembly 126 mounted below the frame 78 supporting the box in question. This standardized ventilation assembly essentially comprises a pneumatic supply duct 128 and a ventilation return duct 130, oriented parallel to one another in the longitudinal direction of the armored chain. The connection between the conduits 128 and 130 of two adjacent frames 78 is made by welding a non-standardized sleeve, during assembly of the armored chain.

A standardized upper control desk 138 is fixed to the front wall 62 of the biological protection 14 associated with each of the boxes 10. All of the desks 138 are produced according to a single model and include a frame, closed by panels and supporting, for example, twelve pipes. Ten of these pipes are intended for the supply of reagents, while one pipe makes it possible to convey a rinsing liquid and that the last pipe makes it possible to feed a flexible washing and decontamination ramp.

The inclined front face of each console 138 carries in its center six valves for supplying the reagents and three taps adapted to the rinsing, decontamination and washing functions. The reagent supply valves are connected to the ends of the pipes 44 of each of the boxes 10, according to the specifications thereof. The pipes are connected between the consoles 138 using end-to-end fittings.

To ensure the connection of the six distribution valves of each of the upper panels 138 on the two series of three pipes 44 associated with each of the analysis boxes 10, the front wall of the biological protection is installed at the ends of the panel 138, two reagent inlet sets 140, which allow the flexible pipes 44 connected to the distribution valves mounted in the console 138 to be guided.

Cet ensemble permet l'alimentation de la boîte 10 correspondante en fluide de lavage et de rinçage, depuis le pupitre supérieur 138.Each of the desks 138 is also associated with a standardized assembly 142 of washing fluid inlet, which is located in the center of the upper desk 138 and passes through the biological protection. This assembly allows the supply of the corresponding box 10 with washing and rinsing fluid, from the console. higher 138.

The armored analysis chain also comprises, on the side of its front face, a lower standardized control console 144, fixed to the face having the chassis 78 supporting this box. Finally, it can be seen in FIG. 2 that the siphon 43 welded into the bottom of each of the analysis boxes 10 is connected to a channel 152 provided in the floor of the cell by a standardized connecting element 154. This element consists of 'a vertical conduit connecting the siphon 43 to the piping of the gutter, a biological protection surrounding this conduit and protective jaws surrounding the junction connection between the conduit and the siphon and allowing to intervene on this connection.

The lower end of the connecting element standardized 154 leads to a set of standardized slabs 156, which constitutes the biological protection of the gutter 152 in the entire area covered by the box 10, by the corresponding part of the biological protection 14 and by the frame 78.

Thanks to the configuration which has just been described with reference to the appended figures, it is easily understood that the study of a new armored chain is greatly facilitated by the use of the standardized elements which have just been described. The cost of this study as well as that of its manufacture is therefore very significantly reduced.

Furthermore, the modular structure of the armored analysis chain according to the invention makes it possible to intervene under particularly favorable conditions at any point of the chain, or even to transform the latter. In particular, maintenance is greatly facilitated, as is the adaptation of the armored chain to any unforeseeable development during its design. An evolution is thus possible as well in the choice of the analysis components 28 associated with an analysis box 10 as with regard to the analysis box as a whole.
