Claims (5)

  1. Zylinderkopf eines Verbrennungsmotors mit eingegossenem Metalleinsatz, bestehend aus einem kreisförmigen, umgeschlagenen Bund, der nach der Bearbeitung der Flächen der Ventilsitze zwei getrennte Bögen bildet, die diese Flächen miteinander verbinden,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der im heißen Bereich des Zylinderkopfs angeordnete Körper (2) des Einsatzes (1) ein Zylinder mit ellyptischem Querschnitt ist, der sich in seinem Verlauf an den kreisförmigen Bund (3) anschließt.
  2. Zylinderkopf nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich der Funktionsbereich (Z) des ellyptischen Körpers des Einsatzes in der Nähe der kleinen Achse der Ellypse befindet, wobei der Einsatz dergestalt eingegossen wird, daß die große Achse der Ellypse auf der Geraden ausgerichtet ist, die die Mittelpunkte der Flächen der Ventilsitze 6, 7 miteinander verbindet, zwischen denen der Einsatz eine doppelte Verbindung herstellen soll.
  3. Zylinderkopf nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Verbindungsradius (R) von ellyptischem Körper (2) und kreisförmigem Bund (3) über die gesamte Umfangslinie des letzteren gleichbleibend ist.
  4. Zylinderkopf nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Umbiegewinkel des abfallenden Randes, der den Bund bildet, größer als 90° ist.
  5. Zylinderkopf nach Anspruch 4,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Kanten des Bundrandes abgerundet werden.
