Abstract

It is proposed to use as a core material for shoulder pads a hot-air-bonded non-woven material, the pile of which is plaited in a lamellar manner perpendicularly to the plane of the material web and which has hitherto been employed for heat-insulating fillings and as filtration material.

Description

The invention relates to the use of a hot air-bonded nonwoven material, the pile of which is deposited in a lamellar fashion perpendicular to the plane of the material web.

Such a nonwoven material is described in DE-Z "Chemical fibers / textile industry" March 1990, pages 272 and 273. It is stated there that a fleece with a predetermined thickness and a selectable basis weight is formed from a pile coming from a card in a vertical layer. The pile is taken over by a chipper and pushes it between a conveyor belt and a joint roller. The pile, which is subjected to compression, is moved on the conveyor belt into a hot air chamber, where the thermoplastic binding fibers melt and thus the fleece is consolidated. This results in a hot air-bonded nonwoven material, the strength of which is transverse - i.e. Thickness direction is much higher than in the longitudinal direction. To increase the strength in the longitudinal direction, it is possible to provide short fibers or embedded thread systems in the mixture, which are at any distance from one another. This new hot air-bonded nonwoven material has a low thermal conductivity or a high thermal resistance, which is why it has so far been particularly suitable for heat-insulating fillings and for filtration purposes, i.e. is used for technical purposes.

The invention relates to a completely different use of a hot air-bonded nonwoven material of the above. Type, the pile of which is deposited perpendicular to the plane of the material web, lamellar, namely as the core material for shoulder pads. Despite the soft grip, the material is characterized by a high level of recovery.

In particular, the invention also relates to the use of the known hot air-bonded nonwoven material, the pile of which is deposited in a lamellar fashion perpendicular to the plane of the material web, as the core material for a shoulder pad with a top and a bottom blanket.

The hot air-bonded nonwoven material of a certain predetermined thickness, which is originally the same size over the entire length and width of the hot air-bonded nonwoven material, is subjected to a stamping process in a first step in order to shape the shoulder pad core, in order to form the peripheral contour of the cushion core, followed by a shape cutting process, for example to realize a wedge and saddle shaped upholstery core. The connection to the ceiling and ceiling can be made by sewing, quilting, needling, gluing or ironing. 10% - 40% melt fibers and 60% - 90% any synthetic or natural fibers are used as materials for the hot air-bonded nonwoven material. Prepared waste material can also be used particularly advantageously as a mixture component.
