Abstract

Proposed is a vertically opening sectional door whose segments (2) are connected to each other at their edges so that they can pivot, the segments (2) being folded on each other in alternating fashion in the peripheral region of the door (1) when the door is open.

Description

The invention relates to a sectional lifting gate with segments which are pivotally connected to one another via their end faces and are laterally guided in rails and which, in the open state, can be folded onto one another alternately in the upper edge region of the gate.

Devices of the generic type are known from FR-A-2 007 661, from which a sectional lifting gate with segments that can be folded alternately in the edge region of the gate is already known. To ensure smooth running when opening and closing and to eliminate other problems, adjacent segments form an angle below 180 °, so that the pivot axes describe a zigzag course. The movement takes place without the use of a chain drive that directly engages the individual segments.

The FR-A-957 064 also does not have swivel axes lying on a straight line and a drive realized by a chain and tooth segments engaging therein. Finally, in FR-A-2 352 150, the adjacent segments are separated from one another in order to then line them up next to one another in the same orientation.

Proceeding from this, the invention has set itself the task of creating a sectional lifting gate, which, when open, requires little space and yet has the good insulation options known from sectional doors.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that in the closed state all pivot axes between adjacent segments lie on a straight line running in the middle of the rail and every second segment is connected to a rocker arm, one end of which is guided in the rail and is provided with a toothed segment, which engages in a driven chain running parallel to the rail, the rocking levers being successively pivoted to unfold the segments.

The basic idea of the present invention is the further development of sectional lifting gates in such a way that in the open state they require a minimum of own space, for which purpose the individual segments are folded onto one another alternately, so that a compact package is created. The axes, around which neighboring segments are folded relative to each other, are to be attached alternately on the inside and outside in the edge area.

In order to avoid jerky undesirable behavior for the entire door when folding and unfolding due to the different paths to be covered in the geometrical sense, that is to achieve smooth running, geometric considerations are necessary when in the closed state all swivel axes between adjacent segments lie on a line without break points, i.e. on a straight line. The swivel axes are no longer found on the inside and outside but on a central straight line or curved line running approximately in the middle of the rail.

In order to ensure that when the gate closes, the individual segments are folded together successively, starting from the outermost one in the edge region of the gate, a rocker arm is attached to the face of at least every second segment via a joint which is parallel to the segments in one Running track is guided. At the same time, the individual rocker arms additionally have toothed segments which engage in a chain running at a distance from the running rail. In this state, the segments are carried along when the chain moves up and down.

The decisive advantage of the present invention is the addition of the advantages of the sectional door with those of the roller door in that the excellent insulation capacity, the possibility of installing large insulation windows is combined with the freedom of space or the small amount of space required for the roller door in the open state. The opening process can be carried out quickly and at a similar speed to that of roller shutters.

Man
Another important object of the invention is in providing the outside of the closed door with a neutral, homogeneous surface that is not defaced by the fitting of fittings. As a result, standard hinges can only be used on the inside (and not also on the outside). For this reason, in a practical development of the invention, a space joint is proposed that is attached to the end of mutually opposite segments, with the result that when the door is closed and the segments are seated on top of one another, the hinge is completely covered, and yet a fold of 180 degrees around the outer edge allowed to make. Man
then gets a smooth outer surface on the one hand, which is aesthetically appealing and can be freely chosen in its design, on the other hand it can be folded by 180 degrees. Due to the alternating folding of adjacent segments, only every second hinge has to be designed as a space hinge.

In the case of a large number of concrete structural realizations, there are gaps and spaces between the end faces of adjacent segments. In such cases, it is particularly advisable to apply elastic sealing strips between the end faces of adjacent segments. Their elastic properties are necessary to allow the folding. They are primarily to be attached to the outside and are used for sealing and at the same time for aesthetic reasons to create a homogeneous outer surface. If bridging by the hinges is possible, the application of the sealing strip will only be necessary for every second pivot axis.

For folding in the edge region of the opening of the door, the running rail receiving the rocker arm at the end provided with the toothed segment has rocker arms, upon reaching which the rocker arm is supported by spring force moves outwards, the driver then leaves the chain and folds up the respective segment too supported and triggers inside. This ensures that the folding takes place only in the area of the rocker arms, ie in the edge area covered by the goal frame to the outside. Otherwise, crushing zones that would cause injury would arise.
The number of rocker arms corresponds to half the number of segments. Since the rocker arms are supported by leg springs, they return to their starting position when the gate is closed.

In an advantageous embodiment, the end of the rocker arm received in the running rails is provided with running rollers located in the running rail, which provide good support, i.e. also guarantee good stability and smooth running.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, adjacent segments are connected to one another via twin joints, which are defined by the fact that they have two parallel to one another Have pivot axes. In order to allow adjacent segments to move by 180 degrees, it is sufficient if each pivot axis of the twin joint can be moved by 90 degrees. When the segments are folded together, a structure that is symmetrical to the central plane of the twin joint is obtained during each movement phase. One of the decisive advantages of the specified twin joint is the possibility of positioning all swivel axes on a straight line running centrally in the rail (in the most general case this can also be a curved line determined by the course of the rail).

Both for guiding the segments and the twin joint, it is proposed to arrange rollers on the end of the swivel axes, the rollers on one side being guided in the same rail.

A particularly favorable drive for the door is given as an example:
For this purpose, a toothed rocker is attached to the axis of a roller, which is provided with a guide roller at its opposite end. The latter is moved in a rail which does not serve to guide the roller and serves to pivot the toothed rocker arm. Their task lies in the engagement and coupling of a chain arranged and driven at a short distance. As long as the corresponding segments are to be moved, the toothed rocker is in engagement, when folding the engagement ends by moving the Toothed rocker and release of the chain. In the specific implementation, the associated guide roller is moved accordingly, ie it is in engagement with the rail until the associated segment is folded up. Appropriate decoupling levers take up the guide roller and move it away from the chain, so that the engagement ends. At the same time, the next uncoupling lever is activated, which is used to hold the next guide roller. The common task of the guide roller and the disengagement lever is to end the engagement in the driven chain at the appropriate time.

For safety reasons, the use of an endless chain is recommended, which in turn is embedded in a track and around the circumference of the sprocket so that the door does not crash if the chain breaks.

The gate (1) is attached to the masonry (8) and the rail (6) there has rocker arms (9) with which the rocker arms (5) successively and one above the other move the associated segment (2) horizontally Collapse position. In the open state, each rocker arm is actuated by a rocking lever (5) sliding over it and the segment (2) is brought into the horizontal position. The movement of the rocker arm (5) outwards causes the toothed segment (7) attached to it to come into engagement with the endless chain which makes the upward and downward movement and is no longer continued.

Conversely, the individual swing levers (5) leave one after the other when the gate closes and starting from below their rest position in the area of the respective rocker arm (9), engage in the endless chain (10) and are carried downwards.

The endless chain (10) is set in motion in the usual way via a drive (11).

Figure 2 shows a longitudinal section through a gate (1) which is fixed in a masonry (8) and the upper four segments (2) are completely or partially folded to the closed position. The possibility of folding in a confined space is clearly visible. The segments are connected by means of two twin joints (12) which run parallel to one another and allow adjacent segments (2) to be pivoted by a maximum of 180 degrees. The shape of the twin joint (12) is chosen so that an outer surface of the gap adjacent segments (2) is closed and covered. The opposite surfaces of the same gap are bridged on the outside with a sealing strip (13), the elastic properties of which allow the segments (2) to be folded together. Covering the gap between adjacent segments (2) at least to the outside is of decisive advantage since it forms a pleasant aesthetic surface and at the same time prevents the penetration of moisture.

It has a twin joint (12) which is provided with two guided rollers (14). A toothed rocker arm (15) is attached to the lower roller (14) and is provided with a guide roller (16) at its opposite end. The latter is guided in a rail (17) and is moved outwards via decoupling levers (18) engaging in it, so that the toothed rocker arm (15) is pivoted to the left. The drive takes place via the endless chain (10) by means of the toothed rocker (15) in engagement. Since in the folded state of the segments (2) their position remains fixed, the engagement in the chain (10) must be ended. The position then assumed by the rocker arm (15) can be seen from the rocker arm (15) shown in the upper area. Each decoupling lever (18) is then placed in the rail (17) to receive the guide roller (16) when the decoupling lever (18) above it has gripped the associated guide roller (16).

As a result, the individual decoupling levers are successively brought into the rail (17) from top to bottom and each take up a guide roller (16). Their distance is equal to the distance between adjacent guide rollers (16) when the door is folded.

Due to the fact that each twin joint (12) is connected to the chain (10) via the associated toothed rocker arm (15) and is moved, there is a force distribution to the individual segments and a selective relief.
