Abstract

For charging and atomising at least two different fluids in a spray absorber, a rotating atomiser disc (1) is proposed which is of three-part construction, specifically having an outer, plate-shaped rotating body (6) with a first group of radially outwardly directed atomiser nozzles (5), a central, annular rotating body (7) with a second group of radially outwardly directed atomiser nozzles (4) and a third, annular rotating body (8), the three rotating bodies (6, 7, 8) being arranged concentrically with respect to one another and being connected to one another at their edges to form two annular inlet openings (10, 11) which are concentric to one another and two separate receptacle spaces (2, 3). Using this rotating atomiser disc (1), two fluids which contain different materials which react quickly with one another can be atomised simultaneously, without firmly adhering caking being formed. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a rotary atomizer disc for introducing and atomizing at least two different liquids into a spray absorber.

Rotary atomizing disks of this type are used to spray liquids which contain other substances or as a slurry into a hot gas stream, the liquid evaporating and the other substances being obtained as fine powder, which is then separated as a product from the gas stream. This technique has also been used for some time to introduce an absorbent in exhaust gas purification, in particular for spraying a lime slurry into an exhaust gas stream containing S0 2 , the S0 2 being bound to Ca and finally a CaS0 3 - and CaS0 4 - containing powder product is obtained.

Modern exhaust gas cleaning processes often work in several stages because this is the only way to achieve the required clean gas values. In this case, the quasi-dry absorption stage is often followed by one or more wet-working laundry stages, of which a certain part of the circulating liquid must always be discharged and replaced by fresh washing liquid. This so-called rejection water contains the pollutants separated from the exhaust gas in the scrubber stage and must therefore be sent to a separate treatment, which is very expensive. It has therefore also been proposed to co-evaporate the rejection water in the existing spray absorber, so that the pollutants are obtained together with the powder product containing CaS0 3 and CaS0 4 . This means that even with multi-stage exhaust gas purification, only a single residual product is created and the washing water treatment can be completely saved.

However, it has been found that the rejection water cannot be introduced into the gas stream with the so-called lime milk (ie the slurry of calcium hydroxide in water) via the same rotary atomizing disc, because the acidic rejection water immediately reacts with the basic lime milk, whereby insoluble, hooking connections fail, so that the rotary atomizer disks are completely clogged in a very short time and have to be replaced. Even with a rotary atomizer according to DE-OS 37 32 353, in which two or more non-rotating devices are provided for the separate feeding of several different liquids into the receiving part of the atomizer disc, the problem could not be solved.

Furthermore, atomizing disks designed as coating devices are known, which all have in common that liquid or powder coating materials are sprayed with them in an electrostatic field. From DE-OS 16 52 390 and DE-OS 15 77 920 atomizer disks are known which make it possible to spray different lacquer components, which are also reactive with one another, but the ionization edges provided, which represent crystallization centers and promote caking, allow these atomizer disks appear to be unsuitable for use in spray adsorbers.

There is therefore the task of proposing a rotary atomizer disc for introducing and atomizing at least two different liquids into a spray absorber, which remains functional even during normal operating times and does not become blocked if the liquids contain rapidly reacting substances that adhere firmly Form caking.

To solve this problem, it is proposed to design the rotary atomizer disc in such a way that it is constructed in three parts, namely with an outer, plate-shaped rotary body with a first group of radially outwardly directed atomizer nozzles, a central, annular rotary body with a second group of radially outwardly directed atomizer nozzles and a third, ring-shaped rotating body, the three rotating bodies being arranged concentrically to one another and being connected to one another at the edges to form two annular, mutually concentric inlet openings and two separate receiving spaces.

It is also expedient if the three rotating bodies have the same outer diameter and the outer ends of the outlet openings of the first and second group of atomizer nozzles end at the same distance from the axis of rotation. In a further development of the inventive concept, it is further provided that the outer plate-shaped rotary body for fastening the rotary atomizer disc on / on the shaft of a rotary drive has a central bore.

In Fig. 1 an embodiment of the inventive concept is shown. The rotary atomizer disc (1) consists of three different, concentrically arranged rotating bodies (6, 7, 8), which are connected to one another at the edges and form two separate receiving spaces (2, 3) between them, which are formed by annular inlet openings (10, 11) are supplied with different liquids from a device that does not rotate and is not shown. The outer, plate-shaped rotary body (6) has a first radially outward group of atomizer nozzles (5). The central annular rotary body (7) has a corresponding group of atomizer nozzles (4). The individual groups of atomizing nozzles (4, 5) can be one under have different or an equal number of nozzles. The outer, plate-shaped rotary body (6) is also provided with a bore (9) which is used to fasten the rotary atomizer disc (1) to or on the shaft of a rotary drive.
