- a pickling operation
- an electrolytic tinning operation with tin anodes, the sheet acting as a cathode
- rinsing and drying operation
- a quenching operation after induction heating, giving the tin layer its shiny appearance
- a chromic passivation operation followed by rinsing and drying.
The electrolyte used for the tinning operation is in particular a solution of tin salt in phenolsulfonic acid added with acid sulfonic ethoxy naphthol (ENSA), reagent that inhibits oxidation of the solution and improves the quality of the tin deposit.
A recycling circuit makes it possible to control the temperature and the concentration of the electrolyte.
All of the tinning electrolyte circulates permanently between the electro-deposition tanks and a circulation tank. This electrolyte is cooled in a water exchanger.
The rinsing water is also sent to the circulation tank in order to recycle the losses by entrainment. The additional water thus supplied is evaporated in an evaporation unit, which is itself supplied with energy by a heater-vaporizer.
The condensate obtained in the evaporation unit is either recycled to the rinsing tank, or discharged into the receiving tank which also collects leaks, overflows and drips collected under the electrolytic and rinsing tanks.
All of the effluent contained in this pit is incinerated.
On the one hand, such an electro-deposition line has the drawback of generating a large quantity of effluents, these effluents containing free or emulsified oils entrained by leaks at the level of the lower bearings of the tanks and materials suspension from drips and, on the other hand, require an incinerator for a large amount of effluent.
- the effluent from the receiving tank is subjected to decantation to remove heavy sludge,
- the effluents thus decanted are subjected to homogenization by stirring in a storage tank, then
- the effluents are mixed in a coagulation tank with a flocculant to obtain flocculation by coagulation of the fatty materials contained in the effluents,
- the flakes which agglomerate on the surface by flotation are removed using a flotation device placed downstream from the coagulation tank, and
- the treated effluent is returned to the circulation tank.
- the flocculant is chosen from an anionic organic polyelectrolyte,
- the effluents from the coagulation tank are introduced at the base of the float,
- the effluents from the coagulation tank are entrained in the float by a pressurized solution which undergoes an expansion when it enters the base of the float and which makes it possible to suspend the flakes obtained in the coagulation tank,
- the pressurized solution comes from a pressurizer fed on the one hand, by a part of the effluents treated in the float and, on the other hand, by a source of a pressurized gas,
- the pressurized gas is nitrogen,
- the heavy sludge is recycled in order to recover the metal (s) contained therein,
- the recovered metal is tin,
- flake agglomerates are incinerated.
The invention also relates to a device characterized in that it comprises a settling tank for heavy sludge, a storage tank fed by the settling tank and provided with a means for agitating the effluents, a coagulation tank receiving the effluents and a flocculant for coagulation and a float receiving at its base on the one hand the treated effluents and on the other hand a pressurized solution.
- the static type settling tank is cylindrical-conical, the settling cone for heavy sludge being provided at its lower end with a pump for extracting said sludge,
- the float consists of a tank with two partitions forming between them a balance column receiving the treated underwater effluent,
- the flotation unit is provided in its upper part with a means of recovery by dumping of agglomerated flakes, commonly called "cake".
- the flotation unit supplies in parallel a pressurization block with treated effluents, itself associated with a gas supply ensuring an overpressure.
- de réduire les quantités d'effluents incinérés, par exemple, un volume de 6000 m³/an environ est réduit en 2 à 6 m³/an de flocons agglomérés et 2 à 4 m³/an de boues lourdes, soit une réduction d'un facteur 1000 du volume à recycler ;
- de réduire les effets de pollution des bains électrolytes des lignes d'électro-déposition ;
- reduce the quantities of incinerated effluents, for example, a volume of 6000 m³ / year approximately is reduced to 2 to 6 m³ / year of agglomerated flakes and 2 to 4 m³ / year of heavy sludge, a reduction of a factor of 1000 in the volume to be recycled;
- to reduce the pollution effects of the electrolyte baths of the electrodeposition lines;
- to recover an effluent charged with the only components which constitute the electrolyte.
