- the structure consisting of shaft 112, lining 114 and connecting strip 116 is then folded over by approximately 180 ° into the position shown in FIG. 4.
- the structure sewn in this way, consisting of shaft 112, lining 114 and connecting strip 116 on the one hand and midsole 118 on the other hand, is then connected to the sole structure 120 constructed similarly to FIG. 1 by means of an adhesive layer 122, in particular a hot melt adhesive layer.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a shoe with a shaft and a substantially watertight lining lying against the inside of the shaft, a fastening edge of the shaft being connected to a midsole, a watertight connecting strip resting on the outside of the fastening edge and this watertight connecting strip having at least one has a waterproof layer-connected sole construction, and the water flow of the fastening edge to the midsole is interrupted.
For a shoe that is to be used mainly outdoors, ie in an open environment, its tightness against water penetration, in particular when buying, is an important criterion. In order to achieve sufficient water resistance, one of DE-OS 38 40 087 removable shoe of the type mentioned in the non-waterproof shaft on a serving as a fastening edge, waterproof edge strip. So that no water can penetrate into this shoe from the outside via the transition area from the shaft to the edge strip, the waterproof connecting strip is arranged on the outside of the shaft in such a way that it covers this transition. In order to prevent water from getting into the interior of the shoe from the shaft via the gap between the waterproof lining and the shaft, a layer of sealant is furthermore arranged between the waterproof lining on the one hand and the shaft or the edge strip on the other. Thus, water cannot get into the inside of the shoe from the outside, ie from the transition region between the upper and the edge strip, nor via the water-carrying upper. However, this shoe has a relatively complicated structure and can therefore only be produced at high production costs.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a shoe of the type mentioned, which can be easily manufactured with a good seal against water penetration.
The above object is achieved in that the connecting strip surrounds the fastening edge of the shaft and the inner lining in a U-shape, that the inner leg of the U-shaped connecting strip is connected to the essentially waterproof lining in a watertight manner and that the U-shaped connecting strip is connected to the Midsole is connected.
The proposed solution enables that no further special measure has to be provided both for the fastening edge of the upper and for the area between the waterproof lining and the upper in order to achieve a good water seal of the entire shoe. The U-shaped encompassing connecting strip and the watertight connection between the waterproof lining and the connecting strip prevent in a simple manner that water can pass from the shaft into the interior of the shoe at the end of the shaft or the fastening edge.
In order to give the shoe good stability, the midsole can be formed by an insole to which the connecting strip is attached.
The connecting strip can be attached to the insole by gluing, in particular by gluing using a hot-melt adhesive layer as part of an AGO lasting process. The AGO lasting process is an easy to control manufacturing process, especially for the industrial production of the shoe according to the invention.
In order to achieve the most compact possible construction of the shoe, it is further proposed that the inner leg of the connecting strip, which on the one hand rests on the waterproof lining, is attached on the other hand to the insole. Alternatively, there is the possibility that the connecting strip in its web area, i.e. outside the end of the fastening edge and the waterproof lining to which the insole is connected.
During the manufacture of the shoe, in particular the fastening of the upper to the midsole, considerable tension forces acting on the upper can occur. In order to be able to absorb these clamping forces from the shaft which is overmolded in a U-shaped manner with the connecting strip, it is further proposed that the leg of the connecting strip resting on the fastening edge of the shaft is firmly connected to the fastening edge in such a way that this connection is the clamping forces during the manufacture of the fastening between connecting strips and insole.
A flexible sole can also be provided for the midsole. Here, there is the possibility that the midsole is connected to the connecting strip by a connecting seam, in particular by a strobe seam. Since the connecting seam can be produced particularly easily, for example on a strobe machine, such a shoe structure can be provided in particular for cheap shoes or, because of its particular flexibility, in sports shoes.
In order to prevent water from getting from the upper to the midsole and thus into the interior of the shoe via the connecting seam, it is further proposed that the connecting seam penetrate the connecting strip in its web area, ie outside the end of the fastening edge and the waterproof lining .
The waterproof lining can have a different structure. For example, there is the possibility that the waterproof lining, which preferably reaches into the entry area of the shoe, is formed only by a single waterproof layer. In addition, the essentially waterproof lining can be vapor-permeable, for which purpose, for example, a film made of stretched polytetrafluoroethylene, a polyester membrane or a microporous polyurethane layer can be provided. The essentially waterproof lining can, however, also be made up of a waterproof or vapor-permeable layer and an inner and / or an outer, textile-like coating or layer. Both the inner and the outer textile-like coating can be made of a fabric, e.g. be made of a polyamide thread or a polyester thread made of, for example, monofilament threads. Both coatings have i.a. the task of protecting the essentially waterproof layer of the lining from mechanical damage and, in addition, in particular the inner textile-like coating, to enable good wearing comfort. In order to achieve good watertightness when the waterproof lining is made with a textile-like coating on its inside, it can be provided that the inner leg of the connecting strip which lies against the waterproof lining penetrates the textile-like layer in such a way that it is watertightly connected to the waterproof lining.
Different methods can be provided for attaching the connecting strip to the fastening edge. For example, there is the possibility that the connecting strip is vulcanized onto the fastening edge. The connecting strip can be attached particularly easily to the fastening edge and to the lining lying against the shaft when it is open is sprayed onto the fastening edge and onto the lining lying against the fastening edge.
A wide variety of materials can be provided for the connecting strip. It is preferably proposed that the connecting strip be made of rubber with a Shore hardness in the range of approximately 50 to 80, preferably approximately 60 to 70.
The sole construction can also have a very different structure. On the one hand, there is the possibility that the sole construction is only formed by an outsole. However, the sole construction can also be formed by an outsole and a damping wedge arranged between the outsole and midsole and improving the running and damping properties, said wedge preferably being made of an inherently waterproof material to form the waterproof layer of the sole construction. There is also the possibility that the inherently watertight layer of the sole construction is formed by a watertight film, possibly a vapor-permeable film.
A wide variety of materials are available for the sole construction. In particular, the outsole can be made of rubber with a Shore hardness in the range from approximately 50 to 80, preferably from approximately 60 to 70, and the cushioning wedge made of PU foam, if present, with a Shore hardness in the range from approximately 50 to 70, preferably from about 55 to 60.
In order to be able to align the structure of the upper and midsole in a particularly simple manner with respect to the sole construction in the manufacture of the shoe, it is further proposed that the sole construction on its side facing the structure of the upper and connecting strip on the one hand and the midsole on the other hand have a shell-shaped design. The particularly good watertightness enables the shoe to be designed as a high-profile shoe, in particular sports or hiking boots. But there is also the possibility that it is designed as a shoe.
To manufacture the shoe according to the invention, it can be provided, on the one hand, that the U-shaped connecting strip is applied to the upper, while the upper protrudes downward essentially perpendicularly to the midsole plane and that the fastening edge, including the lining and connecting strip, is placed on and on the midsole the midsole is attached.
Alternatively, it can be provided that the U-shaped connecting strip applied to the shaft with its inner leg resting on the midsole and with its web resting against the midsole edge is sewn to the midsole by means of a connecting seam, in particular a strobing seam, and then the connecting strip including the fastening edge and waterproof lining is folded over 180 ° around the edge of the midsole.

The structure of the
To manufacture the shoe according to FIG. 1, first the
An alternative embodiment is shown in FIG. 3. Here, analog parts are provided with the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1, each increased by the number 100.
Fig. 3). The
