Definitions
- the invention relates to a tilt closure for a container according to the preamble of claim 1.
- tilt lock is known from German patent 34 35 782.
- the tilt lock proposed there consists of a rocker cover inserted into a cap with a peripheral surface which is convexly curved with respect to the longitudinal axis of the rocker cover.
- the receiving chamber is adapted to this curvature and thus clamps the rocker cover firmly in the receiving chamber.
- Tilt locks are also known, the rocker covers of which have axially arranged stub axles which lie in corresponding hollows in the side walls of the receiving chamber to form the swivel joint.
- a disadvantage of these solutions is insufficient mounting of the rocker cover to prevent it falling out of the receiving chamber.
- the rigid known stub axles are also exposed to the risk of shearing when the rocker cover is inserted into the receiving chamber.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of designing a generic tilt lock so that assembly is simplified and functional reliability is increased with simple manufacture.
- the swivel joint which enables the rocker cover to be shifted from a closed position, in which the outlet opening is covered by a side wall of the receiving chamber, to an open position is formed by runners which form part of the circumferential surfaces of a circle around the swivel axis and slide on bearing blocks.
- the edge surface of the rocker cover is formed with two opposing locking cams which each lie in a window cavity in the side wall.
- the locking cams can be elastically displaced in the axial direction so that they can step back into the edge surface of the rocker cover.
- the stepping back of the locking cams of the rocker cover into the edge surface is advantageously simplified in that the locking cams have a trap-like bevel on the surface facing the side wall of the receiving chamber. This bevel then acts as a run-up bevel for the top edge of the side wall.
- the locking surface of the locking cam extends into a first partial surface and a second partial surface by a ridge extending in the axial direction divides, the latching surface engaging under an upper edge of the window cavity running parallel to the top surface of the cap.
- the first partial surface and the second partial surface are advantageously at an angle to one another, which is the tilt angle from the closed position to the open position of the rocker cover corresponds. It is then provided that in the closed position the first partial surface and in the open position the second partial surface rests parallel to the upper edge of the window. In this way, a surface contact of the locking cam with the upper edge of the window cavity is always guaranteed in the two positions.
- the pivot axis runs below the locking surface.
- the ridge glides on the upper edge of the window cavity and the length of the window cavity can be made small.
- a roof-like configuration of the latching edge with a ridge surface forming the first partial surface, the second partial surface being formed by one of the sloping roof surfaces.
- it is provided to connect it to the edge surface by means of a thin-walled, flexible material connection. Two material connections are preferably provided, each of which is molded onto one side edge of the locking cam in such a way that they extend in the circumferential direction of the edge surface.
- an oval cross-sectional area of the rocker cover is provided.
- pivoting limiter members are also provided for the open and closed positions, which are assigned to the receiving chamber.
- the swiveling limiter for the closed position is formed by an outlet connection which adjoins the passage opening and is closed in the closed position by a stopper molded onto the rocker cover.
- An advantage of this configuration is that the part of the channel formed by the outlet connector can be closed separately by the plug.
- the limit stop for the open position is from formed a bump, which is also assigned to the receiving chamber, is acted upon by the lower edge of the edge surface. It is also intended to provide the rocker cover with a tamper-evident strip.
- the tamper-evident strip lies in a recess in the upper edge formed by the side wall and is separated into the open position when the rocker cover is moved for the first time.
- a secure hold of the tilt lock on the container is ensured in that the opening of the container is covered by the side wall of the cap, which has a bulge in the wall for engaging under a locking edge assigned to the container neck.
- a tight connection between the cap and the container is achieved in that the cap has a mouthpiece that is inserted into the container opening.
- the tilt closure is plugged onto the opening of a container 1.
- the tilt lock consists of a cap 2 with a receiving chamber 3, into which a rocker cover 7 is inserted.
- the rocking cover 7 can be pivoted about a geometric pivot axis 6 and is mounted on runners 5.
- the runners 5 slide on bearing blocks 14.
- the shape of each runner 5 is that of a circle d. H. Circular section around the pivot axis, the circumferential surfaces of the circle sliding on the free, upper ends of the bearing blocks 14.
- the shape of the rocker cover 7, like the shape of the receiving chamber, is cylindrical with an oval cross-sectional area.
- the edge surface 8, which is formed by the lateral lateral surface of the rocker cover, has an outlet opening 9 lying transversely to the pivot axis 6 for the outlet of the contents of the container. In the closed position, the outlet opening 9 is covered by the side wall 10 of the receiving chamber 3. In this position, the cover surface 30 of the rocker cover 7 is aligned with the cover surface 19 of the cap 2, so that the cover surface does not project beyond the upper edge 11 of the cap at any point.
- the receiving chamber 3 has an outlet connection 22 which adjoins the passage opening 13.
- the outlet nozzle 22 is closed on its upper side by a plug 23 which the rocker cover 7 is formed and also serves as a limitation of the swing.
- the stopper 23 emerges from the upper opening of the outlet connector 22 and forms an outlet channel 12 to the outlet opening 9, through which the filling material can emerge from the container.
- the lower edge 8 'of the edge surface 8 of the rocker cover 7 strikes a hump 21 causing a swivel limitation.
- latching cams 16 are provided which are assigned to the edge surface 8 and emerge from it in the direction of extent of the pivot axis 6.
- the locking cams 16 lie in window cavities 15 in the side wall 10 of the receiving chamber 3.
- the locking cams 16 are elastically displaceable in the direction of the swivel axis extension, so that they can be pressed completely behind the surface of the edge surface 8 for inserting the rocker cover 7 into the receiving chamber 3.
- the locking cams 16 are equipped with a bevelled outer surface 17, which is also curved in the circumferential direction.
- the beveled outer surface 17 acts as a run-up slope and causes the locking cam 16 to be moved back.
- the locking cam is connected to the rocking cover 7 using thin-walled material connections 20, 20 '. Locking cams 16 and the two thin-walled material connections 20, 20 'lie within a window area 31 of the edge surface 8.
- connection is such that above and on both sides of the head of the locking cams 16 there are no material bridges to frame the window cavity are available.
- the locking cam 16 hangs freely as if on two outstretched arms in front of the window-forming niche cavity, which extends in front of the runner 5.
- the evasive tilting movement of the locking cams 16 takes place about a geometric axis, formed in the region of the lower outer edge of the straight sections of the edge surfaces 8, that is to say specifically from the lower ends of the material connections 20, 20 '.
- the fully inserted rocking cover 7 protrudes with its locking cams 16 in window cavities 15 in such a way that the locking surface 18 engages under the upper edge 15 'of the window cavity 15 which runs parallel to the cover surface 19.
- the latching surface 18 is designed like a roof and has a ridge surface that forms a first partial surface 18 ′ and an inclined roof surface that forms a second partial surface 18 ′′.
- the two partial surfaces 18 ', 18' ' are separated by a ridge 29 which runs in the direction of the pivot axis.
- the angling of the two partial surfaces 18 ', 18' ' is such that the first partial surface 18' is aligned parallel to the upper edge 15 'in the closed position and the second partial surface 18' 'is aligned parallel to the upper edge 15' in the open position.
- the thin-walled material connections 20, 20 ' are substantially less in material thickness than the wall thickness of the edge surface 8. When the locking cam 16 is acted upon axially, these thin-walled material connections 20', 20 are twisted.
- the rocker cover 7 is equipped with a tamper-evident strip 24 which is attached to the side of the rocker cover 7 opposite the outlet opening 9 by means of three connection points.
- the originality strip 24 is in the closed position in a recess in the cap 2 so that it does not protrude beyond the upper edge 11 of the cap.
- the recess in the side wall 10 is arranged at the upper edge.
- the tamper-evident strip 24 is separated when the rocker cover is first moved to the open position. In this open position, the outlet opening 9 projects beyond the upper edge 11.
- the cap 2 is clipped onto the container 1 and has a mouthpiece 27 which is inserted into the container opening 4.
- the cap is secured against falling off by a catch, which consists of a bead 25 which is formed around the end of the cap side wall and engages behind a catch edge 26 of the container neck.
- transverse wall 14 ' The ends of the strip-shaped bearing blocks 14 which face the interior of the receiving chamber 3 are connected by means of a transverse wall 14 ', so that quite stable socket-like receptacles for the runners 5 are achieved. The latter extend in close proximity to said transverse walls 14 '.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a tilt closure for a container according to the preamble of
Such a tilt lock is known from German patent 34 35 782. The tilt lock proposed there consists of a rocker cover inserted into a cap with a peripheral surface which is convexly curved with respect to the longitudinal axis of the rocker cover. The receiving chamber is adapted to this curvature and thus clamps the rocker cover firmly in the receiving chamber.
Tilt locks are also known, the rocker covers of which have axially arranged stub axles which lie in corresponding hollows in the side walls of the receiving chamber to form the swivel joint. A disadvantage of these solutions is insufficient mounting of the rocker cover to prevent it falling out of the receiving chamber. The rigid known stub axles are also exposed to the risk of shearing when the rocker cover is inserted into the receiving chamber.
The invention is therefore based on the object of designing a generic tilt lock so that assembly is simplified and functional reliability is increased with simple manufacture.
This object is achieved by the invention described in
Die Unteransprüche beschreiben vorteilhafte Weiterentwicklungen der Erfindung. The subclaims describe advantageous developments of the invention.
As a result of such a configuration, a tilt lock of increased use value is provided. The swivel joint, which enables the rocker cover to be shifted from a closed position, in which the outlet opening is covered by a side wall of the receiving chamber, to an open position is formed by runners which form part of the circumferential surfaces of a circle around the swivel axis and slide on bearing blocks. In order to prevent the rocker cover from falling out of the receiving opening and at the same time to enable simple insertion of the rocker cover into the receiving chamber, it is advantageously provided that the edge surface of the rocker cover is formed with two opposing locking cams which each lie in a window cavity in the side wall. For low-wear insertion of the rocker cover into the receiving chamber, the locking cams can be elastically displaced in the axial direction so that they can step back into the edge surface of the rocker cover. The stepping back of the locking cams of the rocker cover into the edge surface is advantageously simplified in that the locking cams have a trap-like bevel on the surface facing the side wall of the receiving chamber. This bevel then acts as a run-up bevel for the top edge of the side wall. In order to minimize wear of the locking cams even during use of the tilt lock, i.e. in the event of a frequent shift from the closed position to the open position, it is provided that the locking surface of the locking cam extends into a first partial surface and a second partial surface by a ridge extending in the axial direction divides, the latching surface engaging under an upper edge of the window cavity running parallel to the top surface of the cap. The first partial surface and the second partial surface are advantageously at an angle to one another, which is the tilt angle from the closed position to the open position of the rocker cover corresponds. It is then provided that in the closed position the first partial surface and in the open position the second partial surface rests parallel to the upper edge of the window. In this way, a surface contact of the locking cam with the upper edge of the window cavity is always guaranteed in the two positions. It is also provided that the pivot axis runs below the locking surface. When moving from the closed position to the open position, the ridge glides on the upper edge of the window cavity and the length of the window cavity can be made small. Also provided is a roof-like configuration of the latching edge with a ridge surface forming the first partial surface, the second partial surface being formed by one of the sloping roof surfaces. In order to achieve the flexible displaceability of the locking cam in the swivel axis direction, it is provided to connect it to the edge surface by means of a thin-walled, flexible material connection. Two material connections are preferably provided, each of which is molded onto one side edge of the locking cam in such a way that they extend in the circumferential direction of the edge surface. In order to achieve the best possible lever arm for pivoting the rocker cover, an oval cross-sectional area of the rocker cover is provided. To limit the pivoting movement, pivoting limiter members are also provided for the open and closed positions, which are assigned to the receiving chamber. The swiveling limiter for the closed position is formed by an outlet connection which adjoins the passage opening and is closed in the closed position by a stopper molded onto the rocker cover. An advantage of this configuration is that the part of the channel formed by the outlet connector can be closed separately by the plug. The limit stop for the open position is from formed a bump, which is also assigned to the receiving chamber, is acted upon by the lower edge of the edge surface. It is also intended to provide the rocker cover with a tamper-evident strip. In the closed position, the tamper-evident strip lies in a recess in the upper edge formed by the side wall and is separated into the open position when the rocker cover is moved for the first time. A secure hold of the tilt lock on the container is ensured in that the opening of the container is covered by the side wall of the cap, which has a bulge in the wall for engaging under a locking edge assigned to the container neck. A tight connection between the cap and the container is achieved in that the cap has a mouthpiece that is inserted into the container opening.

In the exemplary embodiment, the tilt closure is plugged onto the opening of a
The shape of the
In order to prevent the rocking
The fully inserted rocking
The latching
In the unused state, the
The
