Description

The present invention relates to the packaging industry, more particularly that of stick-type substances of the lipstick type, in cases with a rotary lifting mechanism making it possible to remove the stick from the case at the time of use without separating it from the case, then return it away from the case until the next use.

Conventional cases include a slider bucket, stick holder sliding axially inside two reciprocally rotating concentric coaxial sheaths, one of which, external and fixed, is hollowed out internally by two helical grooves, symmetrically offset by 180 °, and l 'other, interior and rotary, has two longitudinal slots, diametrically opposite and symmetrical, each branching at each end of the bucket travel in a notch, at 90 ° oriented in the opposite direction of rotation of the sheath bringing the bucket to this end of its stroke, the bucket having two radial pins, offset by 180 ° which each reciprocally pass through a slot to penetrate through its distal end into a groove.

Such cases are known for example from documents FR-E-92916 or FR-A-2 380 752, the latter document providing for slowing the sliding of the pins in the notches by narrowing them.

The mechanisms of these cases are conventionally made of thin materials for reasons of aesthetics and cost price, generally made of plastic with a mechanical strength suitable for normal use but which may sometimes be insufficient to prevent the escape of the nipples from the grooves and the slots when an exaggerated rotational force is exerted at the end of the bucket stroke. The resulting messing up compromises the subsequent proper functioning of the mechanism. To overcome this drawback, the wall thickness of the inner and outer sheaths is increased to the maximum compatible with a commercially acceptable diameter of the case, by seeking a compromise with the aesthetics and the cost which cannot be entirely satisfactory.

The object of the invention is to overcome this drawback of conventional cases and to prevent the rotational mechanisms from breaking up even with thin-walled sheaths.

The subject of the invention is a case for stick substance of the aforementioned type, characterized in that the helical grooves have a width, adapted to that of the heads of the nipples greater than the width of the notches, the nipples being hollowed symmetrically, opposite the inner sheath, of grooves of width adapted to the thickness of the inner sheath, and of depth corresponding to a spacing adapted to the width of the notches, so that the nipples slide easily with little play in the helical grooves, the slots and the notches but enclose the edges facing the wall of the internal sheath radially with gentle friction at least in the notches.

The longitudinal slots can have the same width as the notches, the grooves of the pins being circular, or the longitudinal slots can have the same width as the helical grooves, the grooves of the pins then forming notches parallel to the orientation of the notches.

The outer edge of the wall of the inner sheath can be chamfered, at least at the bottom of the notches, in order to apply the nipples more effectively against the internal face of this wall and to facilitate the entry of the nipples into the notches. It is even possible to reduce to a chamfer of the outer lateral edge of the end of the longitudinal slots the notches corresponding to the position of the stick retracted into the case.

We can further reinforce the ban on messing up by providing the inner sheath and the outer sheath with complementary means of rotation stop limiting the relative rotation between the sheaths within a turn and determining in an insurmountable positive way the end positions of the bucket. .

Un fourreau extérieur 10, éventuellement décoratif, emboîte la gaine extérieure 5.The case for stick substance such as lipstick represented in FIGS. 1 to 4 essentially comprises a cup 1 stick holder 2 having two diametrically opposite radial pins 3, 3 ′ whose distal ends slide in helical grooves 4, 4 ′, Symmetrically opposite, hollowed out in the internal face of an outer sheath 5 after having passed through longitudinal slots 6, 6 ′ of an inner sheath 7 concentric with the inner sheath 5 and vice versa. Each of the slots 6, 6 ′ forks at 90 ° at each end of travel of the bucket 1 in a notch 8, 8 ′, 9, 9 ′ oriented in the opposite direction of rotation of the inner sheath 7 bringing the bucket 1 to this end of its course. An outer sheath 10, possibly decorative, fits the outer sheath 5.

Ces tétons 3, 3′ sont creusés symétriquement, en regard de la paroi de la gaine intérieure 7 de gorges 12, 12′ de largeur peu supérieure à l'épaisseur de la gaine intérieure 7 et de profondeur peu inférieure à la largeur des encoches 8, 8′, 9, 9′.The heads 11, 11 ′ of the pins 3, 3 ′ have a width slightly less than that of the helical grooves 4, 4 ′, in which they slide freely, but greater than that of the notches 8, 8 ′, 9, 9 ′. These pins 3, 3 ′ are symmetrically hollowed out, facing the wall of the inner sheath 7 of grooves 12, 12 ′ of width slightly greater than the thickness of the inner sheath 7 and of depth slightly less than the width of the notches 8 , 8 ′, 9, 9 ′.

Thus, the nipples 3, 3 ′ can slide freely with little play in the grooves 4, 4 ′, through the slots 6, 6 ′ and the notches 8, 8 ′, 9, 9 ′, while enclosing with gentle friction the edges facing the inner sheath 7 in the notches, at each end of travel of the bucket 1, thus avoiding any risk of messing up by escaping the nipples out of the notches.

To ensure proper insertion of the grooves 12, 12 ′ in the grooves 8, 8 ′, 9, 9 ′ the external edges of the wall of the sheath can be chamfered as indicated in 13, 13 ′, 14 in Figures 2 , 5 and 6.

In a variant shown in the lower part of Figure 6 the notch is reduced to a chamfer 14 has the end of the slot 6 has a nip which permits the wall of the sheath 7 has the groove in the stud 3 a with immobilization of the bucket at the low end of travel. In this position the bucket with its stick are returned in the case and do not support any force as during the application of the stick by friction against a surface when the stick is taken out of the case at the other limit switch of the bucket. In this other position, it is preferable for the slot to be extended by a lateral notch of length at least equal to the diameter of the stud 3 to ensure good axial setting of the bucket.

Figures 7 and 8 show another variant of the invention in which the grooves of the stud 3 b are formed by two notches 12 b , 12 b ′ parallel to the axis of the notches 8 b , 8 b ′ . The interval between the bottoms of the nipple notches is slightly less than the width of the notches into which the nipples penetrate.

To ensure a more positive rotation lock at each end of the bucket stroke, it is advantageously possible to provide an abutment lug 15, at one end of the sheath 5 c with helical grooves, cooperating with another abutment lug 16 at the corresponding end of the sheath 7 c with longitudinal slots, as shown in FIGS. 10 and 11. The width of these pins 15, 16 limit the reciprocal rotation of the sheaths 5 c and 7 c to a little less than one turn, which does not is not a nuisance for a practical realization of a lipstick case.
