Die Anordnung der Drucktaste in einer Ecke des Kastens ist vor allem für die Aufteilung des Kasteninnenraums, zum Beispiel bei Verwendung als Farbkasten, günstig, da der für die Unterbringung von Farbschälchen benötigte Raum an der Längsseite des Kastens freibleibt.
