Definitions
- the invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1 and a device according to the preamble of claim 23 for the production of enamelled wires with solvent-free melting resins.
- Enamelled wire is enameled insulated wire that is differentiated in terms of shape in round and flat wires and in terms of material in copper and aluminum wires.
- the enamelled wire serves to enable good insulation of an electrical conductor against an adjacent conductor or the support of windings.
- the main advantage over other insulations is that the wall thickness of the lacquer layer is extremely small. For example, with a copper wire diameter of 0.4 mm, the layer thickness is a whole 16 ⁇ m.
- Enameled wire is mainly used to manufacture electrical windings that are used for power conduction, voltage conversion, field construction and field deflection.
- lacquer layer thickness is achieved by repeated application of lacquer and can consist of materially uniform layers or from two to three materially different layers.
- lacquers used in the prior art are polyurethane (PUR), for use in small motors, transformers, relays, magnetic coils etc., two-layer lacquers with which the mechanical, thermal and chemical properties can be improved, nylon coatings which are very smooth and baking lacquers which windings with hot air or Electric shock heating can be glued into one unit.
- the lacquers known in the prior art essentially consist of film-forming resins and solvents.
- the solvent allows the coating to be applied in liquid form and its composition influences the uniformity of the paint film.
- Solvents used for wire enamels are essentially mixtures of cresol, xylenol and solvent naphta and account for approximately 2/3 of the enamel volume.
- the disadvantages of the solvent are its dangerous properties.
- the liquid is usually toxic and caustic and forms explosive mixtures when heated, which are also heavier than air. Inhalation of the vapors causes symptoms of intoxication among the operators. Damage to the skin and eyes due to skin penetration and paralysis of the central nervous system with consequential damage have become known.
- a method and a device for coating wires is known from EP-PS 0 063 963, in which a resin with a solvent content of only 5% is used.
- the particular disadvantage of the characteristic method and the device described is that the application of the resin takes place in an open system, so that a Solvent disposal must be carried out.
- only varnish combinations are used in the device according to the invention, which can be used in a single-layer process and thus ensure a fast throughput and thus high production output.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a method and a device for producing a highly heat-resistant enamelled wire by means of hot-melt resins, in which the enamelled wire fulfills the quality tests of the international standards, enables more economical enamelled wire production compared to conventional methods and systems, and even the strictest environmental protection regulations are observed and the largest possible area of application is guaranteed.
- the particular advantage of the invention from an environmental point of view lies on the one hand in the fact that almost completely solvent-free resins can be used and on the other hand in that this resin is guided in a closed system during coating, so that practically no emission takes place apart from the layer on the wire.
- the wire is subjected to a drying and baking process immediately after the coating, so that the total emission is extremely low.
- a drying and baking process immediately after the coating, so that the total emission is extremely low.
- the bare wire is withdrawn from a fixed bare wire coil 2 overhead.
- a wire brake 3 consisting of two brake rollers and a set screw, ensures the correct tension of the wire and prevents sagging.
- the so-called bare wire outlet 4 is arranged above the wire brake.
- the bare wire Before entering the annealing furnace 6, the bare wire is cleaned in a demineralized water bath 5.
- the hard-drawn bare wire 1 passes through an annealing furnace 6, in which it recrystallizes, i.e. is brought into the desired flexible state.
- the annealing furnace 6 has a first annealing zone 8 and a second annealing zone 9, in which different methods, for example circulating air, exhaust air or electric heating, are used.
- the hot wire is cooled in a water bath 10 so that it does not tarnish. Cooling water remaining on the wire is removed by a blow-off device.
- the application temperature required for the melting resin is between 140 ° C and 180 ° C.
- the wire 1 is preheated. Both the annealing furnace 6 and a wire preheater 11 are burned by a stoving furnace 16 via a secondary air circulation heated and regulated with the help of a fan or an adjustment flap. After annealing, the wire 1 is returned via a blind retort 25. The solid resin is melted in a coated aluminum tank with cast-in radiators. A gear pump conveys the hot resin with overpressure first through a filter 13 and then through a heated feed hose 14 into the application device 15. The excess resin gets back into the resin tank via the return hose 16. The entire resin preparation and application device is a closed system.
- the hot resin is conveyed from the resin preparation device 12 with overpressure into the application device 15 and there into hard metal nozzles. Excess resin returns to the resin processing device 12 through the return line.
- the resin application device 15 is provided with a controllable heating element in order to keep the resin melt in a viscosity range of 300-1000 mPas, which is favorable for processing.
- the wire 1 runs through the device four times (in special cases up to six times), ie four hard metal nozzles with different passage cross sections are used in the device.
- the wire 1 first passes through the drying zone 17, then through the baking zone 18.
- the solids portion of the resin is converted into a high-molecular, chemically and thermally resistant state by polymerisation.
- the hot melt baking oven 16 works according to the air circulation system. Since, in contrast to the conventional painting systems, no combustion energy is generated from the solvents, a gas burner 19 or, alternatively, an electric heating register is integrated in the circulating air circuit. The amount of circulating air is regulated by the circulating air fan speed 20.
- Temperature can be influenced via a flap 21 by regulating the resistance of the circulating air, which is the lowest when the flap 21 is open.
- the wire then arrives at a winding machine 24.
- the finished enamelled wire 23 is drawn over a take-off disk and wound up.
- the baking oven 16 also has an adjustable exhaust gas fan 22 which blows the exhaust air into the open.
- control cabinet 26 contains the entire control of the wire coating system as well as the display devices for temperatures, fan speeds, indicator lights, etc.
- the most important variables to be measured are, in addition to consumption variables such as gas consumption, power consumption, resin consumption, the speed of a secondary air fan, the main air fan 20 and the exhaust fan 22, the position of the exhaust flap 21 and an HFz tester, and above all temperatures.
- a wide variety of deflection rollers are shown in FIG. 1, but are not identified further.
- the temperature of the resin tank which must be selected so that the resin attains a viscosity that is favorable for pumping to the order ware. If the temperature is too high, the resin ages and becomes tough again.
- the temperature of the resin supply and discharge hoses is important, whereby the criterion for the choice of temperature is mainly the viscosity range that is favorable for easy delivery. Because of the small amounts in the tubes, the problem of aging is of only minor importance.
- the temperature in the resin application device 15 must be precisely controllable in order to keep the resin melt in a viscosity range of 300-1000 mPas.
- An important influencing factor is the temperature and the main amount of circulating air in the baking oven. Both factors are influencing factors on the degree of stoving of the resin and thus decisive factors for the quality of the enamelled wire. If the baking temperature is too low or too high, cracks may appear in the insulation layer when the enamelled wire is stressed.
- the wire speed has an enormous influence on the quality of the finished enamelled wire 23.
- the key figure for this is the vd value, which indicates the production output of a machine.
- v is the wire speed in m / min
- d is the wire diameter in mm.
- the fact that the dwell time of the wire in the baking oven also changes due to the change in speed must also be the case when the speed increases the temperature in the individual heating zones such as the annealing and baking zone and possibly other factors are changed.
- a magnet wire of the type W 180 L, d 1.06 mm, resin 526 HM was used.
- the resin application device 31 has a housing 32, into which through bores 33a to 33d pass. These holes 33a to 33d are the wire feed-through holes, so that this is a four-row resin application device. Four wires can be coated either in parallel or one wire four times after appropriate deflection and return.
- Hard metal sleeves 34a to 34d and 35c are arranged at the entry and exit of these wire guides. Sealing elements, for example so-called stuffing boxes, are also introduced. This seals the wire passage on the front and back so that a medium under pressure cannot escape on the front and back.
- Two blind bores 36 and 37 are arranged on the upper side, 36 being the resin inlet and 37 the resin outlet. These threaded bores are connected via a channel 38, which extends obliquely into the interior of the housing 32, each with a channel 39 or 40 running essentially perpendicular to the wire bushings, but above the same. Through this transverse channel, the incoming resin is distributed in the transverse direction above all four wire feedthroughs. Channels 39 and 40 are in turn connected to the wire guides by vertical channels 41, 43.
- a wire passes through the wire guide, for example 33c, it passes through the front sleeve 34c, passes through the wire guide and passes through the rear sleeve 35c.
- Resin penetrates through the resin inlet 36 into the housing 32 and is distributed via a channel (not shown) which runs obliquely in the channel 10 which runs transversely to the wire feedthroughs. From there, the resin is pressed via the channels 42 into the respective wire guides 33a to 33d under excess pressure and runs through the wire guide against the direction of movement of the wire. Through a hole 43 in the wire guide, the excess resin is distributed in an annular cross-sectional reduction on the outside of the wire guide. From there, the resin is forced under pressure through the channels 41 into the transverse collecting channel 39. From there, the resin is fed via the inclined channel 38 into the resin outlet 37 and thus back to the resin preparation device.
- transverse channels 39 and 40 are of course also completely sealed at their ends by means of sealant 45.
- a heater 47 is used, by means of which the housing and thus the entire resin application device is kept at a temperature which sets the desired viscosity for the resin, which is desirable for coating the wire.
- Corresponding bores are also used for thermocouples 48 for measuring the temperature.
- bores 49 with sealing and adjusting screws 50 were arranged above the vertical connecting channels 41, 42. Further holes 51 to 54 for ventilation, cleaning or other purposes are shown in the figures.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1 and a device according to the preamble of
So beträgt die Schichtdicke beispielsweise bei einem Kupferdrahtdurchmesser von 0,4 mm ganze 16 µm.Enamelled wire is enameled insulated wire that is differentiated in terms of shape in round and flat wires and in terms of material in copper and aluminum wires. The enamelled wire serves to enable good insulation of an electrical conductor against an adjacent conductor or the support of windings. The main advantage over other insulations is that the wall thickness of the lacquer layer is extremely small. For example, with a copper wire diameter of 0.4 mm, the layer thickness is a whole 16 µm.
Enameled wire is mainly used to manufacture electrical windings that are used for power conduction, voltage conversion, field construction and field deflection.
The lacquer layer thickness is achieved by repeated application of lacquer and can consist of materially uniform layers or from two to three materially different layers. Examples of lacquers used in the prior art are polyurethane (PUR), for use in small motors, transformers, relays, magnetic coils etc., two-layer lacquers with which the mechanical, thermal and chemical properties can be improved, nylon coatings which are very smooth and baking lacquers which windings with hot air or Electric shock heating can be glued into one unit.
In painting systems, a distinction is usually made between conventional and those with a combined inline drawing machine. Painting systems with inline drawing machines are becoming increasingly important due to a number of advantages, which essentially consist in the higher softness of the copper and better quality due to the same drawing and painting device. Such a system for enamelled wire production in the inline process is known for example from DE-PS 3 118 830.
The lacquers known in the prior art essentially consist of film-forming resins and solvents. The solvent allows the coating to be applied in liquid form and its composition influences the uniformity of the paint film. Solvents used for wire enamels are essentially mixtures of cresol, xylenol and solvent naphta and account for approximately 2/3 of the enamel volume.
The disadvantages of the solvent are its dangerous properties. The liquid is usually toxic and caustic and forms explosive mixtures when heated, which are also heavier than air. Inhalation of the vapors causes symptoms of intoxication among the operators. Damage to the skin and eyes due to skin penetration and paralysis of the central nervous system with consequential damage have become known.
A method and a device for coating wires is known from EP-
An alternative method, in which solvents are almost completely saved, is the use of so-called hot melts. The resin melt must be brought to a predetermined temperature in order to obtain a processable viscosity for the application. This requires precise temperature control and the layer thicknesses achieved are greater than with conventional lacquers, so that fewer hot-melt resin lacquer layers have to be applied in correspondingly fewer steps in order to achieve the desired layer thicknesses.
The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a method and a device for producing a highly heat-resistant enamelled wire by means of hot-melt resins, in which the enamelled wire fulfills the quality tests of the international standards, enables more economical enamelled wire production compared to conventional methods and systems, and even the strictest environmental protection regulations are observed and the largest possible area of application is guaranteed.
This object is achieved on the process side by the characterizing features of patent claim 1 and on the device side by the characterizing features of
Vorteilhaftere Ausgestaltungen sind in den Unteransprüchen gekennzeichnet.Advantageous refinements are characterized in the subclaims.
The particular advantage of the invention from an environmental point of view lies on the one hand in the fact that almost completely solvent-free resins can be used and on the other hand in that this resin is guided in a closed system during coating, so that practically no emission takes place apart from the layer on the wire.
The wire is subjected to a drying and baking process immediately after the coating, so that the total emission is extremely low. Experiments have shown that there is no need for a catalytic converter in the exhaust system, since the total emission is far below the permissible values.
From an economic point of view, it is also particularly advantageous that excess and removed resin is returned to the supply and is therefore available for further coatings.

The bare wire is withdrawn from a fixed

The hard-drawn bare wire 1 passes through an
The annealing
Immediately after the annealing, the hot wire is cooled in a
The application temperature required for the melting resin is between 140 ° C and 180 ° C. In order to prevent cooling of the resin by the wire 1, the wire 1 is preheated. Both the annealing
The hot resin is conveyed from the
The wire 1 runs through the device four times (in special cases up to six times), ie four hard metal nozzles with different passage cross sections are used in the device.

In order to ensure the proper functioning of the wire coating system, measuring and control devices are required that measure important quantities and regulate them within specified limits. The
The most important variables to be measured are, in addition to consumption variables such as gas consumption, power consumption, resin consumption, the speed of a secondary air fan, the
Tests have shown that a number of the measured sizes have a considerable influence on the quality of the finished enamelled wire to have. This is the temperature of the annealing furnace, which is decisive for the softness of the copper wire and is controlled by measuring the bending force and the yield strength on finished enamelled wire samples. If the annealing temperature is too high, small copper skewers, called bristles, can stand up and produce an increase in the number of high-voltage faults.
Another important influencing variable is the temperature of the resin tank, which must be selected so that the resin attains a viscosity that is favorable for pumping to the order ware. If the temperature is too high, the resin ages and becomes tough again. In this context, the temperature of the resin supply and discharge hoses is important, whereby the criterion for the choice of temperature is mainly the viscosity range that is favorable for easy delivery. Because of the small amounts in the tubes, the problem of aging is of only minor importance.
The temperature in the
An important influencing factor is the temperature and the main amount of circulating air in the baking oven. Both factors are influencing factors on the degree of stoving of the resin and thus decisive factors for the quality of the enamelled wire. If the baking temperature is too low or too high, cracks may appear in the insulation layer when the enamelled wire is stressed.
The wire speed has an enormous influence on the quality of the finished enamelled
For the corresponding enamelled wire / resin combinations, optimal parameters can of course be determined by tests.
Gefahren wurde ein Lackdraht des Types W 180 L, d = 1,06 mm, Harz 526 HM.A magnet wire of the type W 180 L, d = 1.06 mm, resin 526 HM was used.
Als Vergleichsdaten wurden die wissenschaftlichen Daten der vertikalen Drahtlackieranlage VN6, die derzeit den industriellen Standard für Drahtlackieranlagen darstellt, verwendet.2 shows the compilation of the most important types of costs in the comparison between a conventional painting system with the melt resin system according to the invention. The cost types are broken down on the abscissa and the cost unit per ton of enamelled wire (Ke / t enameled wire) on the ordinate. The scientific data of the vertical wire coating system VN6, which currently represents the industrial standard for wire coating systems, was used as comparison data.
The result shows that the system according to the invention performs more favorably in all types of costs using the hot-melt method.
The main result can be seen that the method according to the invention and the corresponding device can be classified for the first time considerably more economically than conventional painting machines or methods.
An exemplary embodiment of a resin application device according to the invention is described below with reference to FIGS. 3 to 5.
The
Two
When a wire passes through the wire guide, for example 33c, it passes through the front sleeve 34c, passes through the wire guide and passes through the
The
On the one hand for manufacturing reasons and on the other hand for cleaning and adjustment reasons, bores 49 with sealing and adjusting
