Abstract

A decorative plaque comprising, in sequence, from the outside to the inside, a semitransparent reflecting plate, a light transmitting glass plate spaced from the semi-transparent reflecting plate having a plurality of faceted glass stones affixed to one side thereof in an ornamental arrangement facing towards the reflective surface of the semi-transparent reflecting plate, and, on the opposite side of the light transmitting glass plate and spaced therefrom, a fully reflective plate. The plaque is arranged so that it is internally illuminated, for example by ambient light. Viewing of the interior of the plaque occurs through the semi-transparent reflecting plate.

Description

The invention relates to a decorative panel with a glass plate on which a plurality of faceted glass stones is fixed in an ornamental arrangement. Various decorative panels are known, including also those in which faceted glass stones are provided in an ornamental arrangement on a transparent pane, as described in CH-A-654 065.

However, there is a need to create new decorative panels that are distinguished by special optical and aesthetic effects.

The invention is therefore based on the object of creating new decorative panels with special optical and aesthetic effects.

The invention is based on the finding that such new decorative panels can be created by combining glass panels which have faceted glass stones in an ornamental arrangement with mirror panels to form decorative panels.

The object of the invention is a decorative panel with a glass plate on which a plurality of faceted glass stones is fixed in an ornamental arrangement, which is characterized in that the decorative plate is a semi-transparent mirror plate, the glass plate with glass stones spaced apart and a full mirror plate spaced apart includes.

The special optical and aesthetic effect of the decorative panel according to the invention is that the glittering glass stones multiply to the infinite by the combination of semi-transparent mirror and full mirror.

According to a preferred embodiment, the full mirror plate is arranged at an angle to the semi-transparent mirror plate. This ensures that the doubling effect takes the form of a curve.

According to a further preferred embodiment, it is possible to arrange the rear full mirror movably, in such a way that the angle to the semi-transparent mirror plate can be changed. This creates a moving picture.
According to a further preferred embodiment, a narrow side of the decorative panel is designed in such a way that light is brought onto the glass stones, as a result of which the optical effect is increased.

The decorative panels according to the invention are suitable for a wide variety of applications. They can be designed purely artistically or act as advertising media.

Die Dekortafeln können beliebige Größe aufweisen, beispielsweise 50 x 100 mm oder 100 x 200 mm.The decorative panels can have any size, for example 50 x 100 mm or 100 x 200 mm.

The semi-transparent mirror plate is a glass plate with a semi-transparent mirror applied to the back, i.e. the light rays are partially reflected and partially transmitted.

The glass plate with glass stones arranged at a distance - which can be varied within wide limits - shows the glass stones in an ornamental arrangement, whereby there are no limits to the many possibilities.

The faceted glass stones are preferably cut glass crystals made of lead crystal. The size can vary within wide limits, for example between 0.3 and 10 mm. Chatons are particularly suitable in terms of shape, but roses are also suitable. The chatons are stuck to the glass plate with the blackboard, which is supposed to face the viewer. The stones are preferably colorless, but can also - if necessary only partially - consist of colored glass or be vapor-coated with metal layers.

The stones are glued to the glass plate with transparent glue, preferably a UV-curing acrylic glue. The stones can be glued to the front or back of the glass plate.

The rear full mirror plate is a common mirror plate, wherein the reflective layer is generally a silver layer.

It is preferred to combine the individual plates into a closed decorative panel, in particular to protect the glass stones from dirt.

It is preferred to illuminate the glass stones, especially from the side.

The full mirror plate can be arranged at a slight angle to the semitransparent mirror plate, both in the horizontal and in the vertical direction, as a result of which special optical effects are achieved.

It is also possible to arrange the full mirror plate and said small angular ranges to be movable, which then results in moving images.

The invention is explained below with reference to the drawing, which shows an exemplary embodiment.

As can be seen from Figure 2, the viewer is the semi-transparent mirror plate 2 with semi-transparent Mirror layer 6 facing the back. Behind it, the glass plate 3 is arranged at a distance, on which the glass blocks 4 are fixed. The full mirror plate 5 with mirror layer 7 is arranged behind it on the rear. All three plates are summarized by means of frame 8. According to a preferred embodiment, a narrow side or part thereof is made of glass so that light can penetrate into the interior of the decorative panel 1.
