Abstract

In an electrically driven hammer, in particular drill hammer, the outlay for assembly, in particular of the electrical components, is to be reduced. For this purpose, the on/off switch (37), which is conventionally located in the handle (7), is moved to the housing (2) opposite the handle and is connected via a linkage (34) to a pawl (26) in the handle (7). This has the advantage that there are no longer any electrical components accommodated inside the handle (7). The pawl (26) is inserted, ready assembled together with a frame (18), into the handle (7), which is then screwed to the housing (2) of the hammer (1). All electrical and electronic components, such as motor (3), switch (37) and mains cable (38), are accommodated in the housing (2). As a result, the electrical components are better protected in the event of an impact of the hammer. <IMAGE>

Description

Stand der TechnikState of the art

The invention relates to an electrically operated hand tool according to the preamble of claim 1. From DE-OS 34 04 962 (= GB-PS 21 53 735) a rotary hammer is already known which has a closed handle and a switch arranged therein with a handle having. This means that the electrical lines from the switch to the motor must be passed through the handle. The power cord is also inserted into the handle. This widespread design requires a lot of installation work for the cabling. In addition, if the hammer falls and is hit hard, there is a risk of damaging the sensitive grip area and subsequently exposing live cables. This can pose a danger to the operator.

Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention

The handheld power tool according to the invention with the characterizing features of claim 1 has the advantage that the assembly effort is considerably reduced, the electrical lines are better protected and the handle can be ergonomically optimized.

The area beyond the handle openings of the handle is well protected when the hammer is struck hard on the handle. A location that is easy to manufacture and assemble is preferably selected for the switch, in particular on the outside of the housing.

Advantageous further developments and improvements of the hand-held power tool specified in claim 1 are possible through the measures listed in claims 2. It is particularly advantageous that the pawl and the means for power transmission consist of a coherent piece and are articulated together. It is also advantageous that no additional parts such as bolts etc. are used for the rotary bearing of the pawl. This makes assembly considerably easier. Another advantage is a frame for the pawl that can be inserted into a groove of the handle. In this way, the handle can be mounted without tools with two handles and only needs to be screwed onto the hammer housing. Also advantageous is the arrangement of the pawl in the handle part of the handle and the laying of the linkage for power transmission in a web of the handle; this means that the familiar, convenient location of the pawl is retained. In the handheld power tool according to the invention, inexpensive vibration damping can be achieved in that the handle has a rigid frame which is coated with an elastic material.

Zeichnungdrawing

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and explained in more detail in the following description. Figure 1 shows a hammer in partial section and Figure 2 shows a cross section along line II-II in Figure 1.

Beschreibung des AusführungsbeispielsDescription of the embodiment

A hammer drill 1 has a housing 2 made of plastic, which has a cylindrical housing part in which a motor 3 is housed. Furthermore, a striking mechanism 4, which is only indicated in the drawing, is contained in the housing 2 perpendicular to the motor 3. In an extension of the striking mechanism 4, a tool holder 5 with a drilling tool 6 is arranged in a manner known per se. At the end of the hammer opposite the tool holder, a handle 7 is fastened to the housing 2 with screws 8. The handle 7 has the shape of a spade handle and consists of a frame 9 made of plastic, which has a substantially U-shaped cross section (see FIG. 2). The handle 7 has webs 10 and a central web 11. The handle 7 has in its grip part 12 gripped by the hand of the operator and in the upper web 10 and the central web 11 a circumferential central groove 13 which faces the housing 2. The scaffold 9 is provided with an easily accessible elastic sheath 14, e.g. B. enclosed a foam material. The whole handle 7 consists of an undivided solid part. The webs 10, 11 form an upper 15 and a lower handle opening 16 for holding with both hands, so that a so-called double spade handle is created. The handle openings 15, 16 are closed by a wall 17 facing the housing 2.

In the groove 13 of the handle 7, a closed frame 18 is inserted, which can be made of plastic or sheet metal. In the area of the grip part 12, the frame consists of 2 parallel tabs 19 and 20 which rest in the walls of the groove 13. The two tabs 19, 20 each have a bore 21, 22 on the opposite side. At the ends facing the handle part 12, the tabs 19, 20 each have an insertion bevel 23, 24 on their inner side opposite each other.

A switching pawl 26, preferably made of plastic, is arranged between the tabs 19, 20, that is to say in the handle part 12. The switching pawl 26 has two opposite pins 27, 28 which engage in the bores 21, 22 and thus form a pivot bearing for the switching pawl designed as a two-armed lever. A manually operable actuating part 29 is arranged above the pins 27, 28. Below the pin 27, 28, a lever 30 is formed with a pan 31 at the end. A resilient connecting element 32 runs parallel to the lever and is integrally connected to a linkage 34. The linkage 34 runs in the central web 11 and has a contact piece 35 which bears against the pan 31. The front end 36 of the linkage 34 is connected to a switch 37 for switching the hammer drill 1 on and off. The linkage 34 and the contact piece 35 together with the socket 31 form means for transmitting the actuating force exerted on the pawl 26 to the switch 37 This is accommodated outside the handle 7 in or on the housing 2 of the rotary hammer, advantageously in particular in the space between the handle 7 and the housing 2. The switch 37 can also be attached to the wall 17 of the handle 7 facing the housing 2. The switch 37 is designed as a non-latching pressure switch and is connected to a connecting cable 38 inserted into the housing 2.

When installing the rotary hammer 1, the pawl and the linkage 34 firmly connected to it are first pressed in in the direction of arrow A, that is to say from the outside, between the tabs 19, 20 of the frame 18. The pins 27, 28 slide over the insertion bevel 23, 24 until they snap into the bores 21, 22. Then the frame 18 is inserted with the mounted pawl 26 in the direction of arrow B into the groove 13 of the handle 7. The frame 18 closes the groove 13 in the connecting webs 10, 11. In the handle part 12, the actuating part 29 is inserted into the groove 13. In this state, the completely pre-assembled handle 7 is now attached to the housing 2 the screws 8 screwed on. The linkage 34 comes to lie exactly in front of the switch 37, so that the switch can be operated correctly. When the pawl 26 is actuated, the force is transmitted via the lever 30 to the pan 31 and from there passed on via the contact piece 35 to the linkage 34 acting as a push rod. Pan 31 and contact piece 35 are not rigidly coupled but can be displaced relative to one another, so that the rotary movement of the pawl 26 is easily transmitted to the longitudinal movement of the linkage 34. The cohesion of pawl 26 and linkage 34 is brought about by the connecting element 32, which is integral with both parts.

The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment described. For example, the pawl can also be pushed in longitudinally displaceably instead of rotatably with longitudinal guides in the frame arranged in the handle. The invention is also applicable to other power tools such as drills or screwdrivers.
