  3. Method according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that, during the examination and assessment of all the alternative frequencies, the frequencies examined are sorted and arranged in the working memory in accordance with their ranking sequence groupwise and according to reception quality.
  4. Method according to one or more of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that, when a reception frequency is tuned to for which no PI code is recognized, a frequency is tuned to for which it is known that RDS data signals are broadcast.
