Claims (12)

  1. Independant post varying in height comprising a vertically movable system (40), to which a post (41) is fixed, and cooperating with a frame (1), fixed to a casing (2), the rising of which is provided by a mechanism (42) such as an actuator abutting against the bottom of the casing (2) and connected to said movable system (40), and further comprising, devices for locking and blocking said movable system (40) and the post (41) thereof in the upper or lower position, said devices being operated by a key (30/70) which cooperates with a keylock, characterized in that said locking device is composed of an assembly comprising a central tipper (5) and two locking levers (3/4) which are pivotally mounted on either side of said central tipper, said assembly being situated on one side of said movable system (40) and extending along the height of the frame (1), and in that the ends (5a/5b) of said tipper (5) are in contact with one of the ends (3a/4a) of each pivoting lever (3/4) and in that the other ends (3b/4b) of said levers (3/4) are actuated by springs (10/11) which rest on the frame (1) and which push said levers (3/4) back such that either lever (3/4) is caused to adopt the upper or lower locking position when the tipper (5) is in an inclined position communicated by operating said key (30/70), said levers (3/4) coming to be alternatively snap-engaged on said movable system (40) with a view to immobilizing the latter momentarily together with the post (41) in an upper or lower position.
  2. Post according to claim 1, which movable system includes a circular plate (40₁) on which the post (41) is mounted and on which two supports (40₂) are equally mounted, said supports extending downwardly and comprising slide blocks which cooperate with slides (1₁/1₂) which are parallel to said supports and fixed to said casing (2), characterized in that said tipper (5)/levers (3/4) assembly is mounted inside a U-section (1₃) situated at 90° from said slides (1₁/1₂).
  3. Post according to any one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the slides (1₁/1₂) are profiled sections of a U cross-section, the open portion of which is situated towards the movable system (40).
  4. Post according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that said tipper (5)/levers (3/4) assembly is mounted inside one of said U-shaped slides (1₁).
  5. Post according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said springs (10/11) are compression springs, each one being partly engaged, on the one hand, in a socket (12/13) of said U-section (1₁/1₃) and, on the other hand, in a housing (3b/4b) reserved for one of the ends of the levers (3/4), the other ends of said levers comprising inclined faces (3a/4a) converging on an imaginary point situated towards the movable system (40), which inclined faces (3a/4a) of the levers cooperate with the ends of the tipper (5) which are provided with inclined faces (5a/5b), which faces thus converge towards the movable system (40) on one point situated on a line passing through the center of the axis (8) to which the tipper (5) is fixed and perpendicular thereto, such that one of the levers (3/4) is placed in the locking position simultaneously to the pivoting of the tipper (5), in either direction and under the action of the springs (10/11) while the other lever is placed in the retracting position inside the profiled section (1₃).
  6. Post according to any one of claims 1 to 5, of which the pivoting of the tipper (5) in either direction is controlled by a key (30/70), characterized in that said key cooperates with a keylock (24/50) which is situated (30/70) on the upper part of the profiled section (1₁/1₃) in which is mounted the tipper (5)/levers (3/4) assembly, said keylock (24/50) is fixed to the end of an axis (15/16) mounted so as to rotate on bearings (20/23) which are fixed to said profiled section (1₁/1₃), which axis comprises, on its other end, a cylinder (17) including an offset pin (18) which is engaged inside a cavity (14a) reserved for the free end of an arm (14) fixed to the axis (8) of the tipper (5).
  7. Post according to claim 6, characterized in that said cavity (14a) is in the shape of a rectangular cross-section and in that said pin (18) comprises at its end a spherical runner (19) which cooperates with said cavity (14a).
  8. Post according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the profiled section (1₁/1₃) comprises, on its upper part, a board (25) for immobilizing the key (30/70), which board extends towards the keylock (24) outside of the profiled section (1₁/1₃) and in that the key (30/70) comprises a peripheral groove (31/75) and below the latter, a flat (30a/76) enabling the insertion of the key (30/70) inside the keylock (24/50), which key escapes the hold of said board (25) during this operation and which board is then placed inside the groove (31/75) once the key has been operated in rotation in order to act upon the tipper (5)/levers (3/4) assembly, with a view to locking both the movable system (40) and the post (41) in a retracted position.
  9. Post according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the keylock (50) is fixed to the upper end of the axis (16) and comprises a cylindrical body (62) mounted so as to pivot inside a ring (51) which is fixed to said profiled section (1₁/1₃), which body is extended by a portion of a shaft (65) force-fitted into a head (56), comprising at its upper part, an offset pin (60) and in that said fixed ring (51) and said head (56) comprise in their periphery bores (53/58) situated on a circle of equal diameter, in which bores are disposed spindles (54/59): a first series of spindles (54) placed inside the bores (53) of the fixed ring and resting on springs (55) disposed at the bottom of the bores (53), and which tend to push the spindles (54) back into the bores (58) of the head (56), through the connecting plane (P) of the ring (51) and of the head (56), and a second series of spindles (59) disposed inside the bores (58) of said head and brought into contact with said spindles (53), said spindles (59) emerging from the periphery of the head (56).
  10. Post according to claim 9, characterized in that the spindles (58) of the head (56) are partially blind in (56b) such that the spindles (59) rest at the bottom (56b) of the bores (58) under the action of the spindles (53) which are pushed back by the springs (55).
  11. Post according to any one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that said key (70) comprises a bore (72) whose diameter and depth are substantially equal to the diameter and height of the cylindrical portion (56a) of the head (56), and at which bottom of the bore (72) a cylindrical offset housing (73) is reserved which is capable of receiving the offset pin (60) of the head (56), said key further comprising in its periphery notches (74/74a) capable of coming into contact with the visible spindles (59) so as to push them back by slightly putting a vertical pressure thereon and to compress said springs (55) in order to put the faces in contact with all the spindles (53/59) of said series of spindles in the connecting plane of the ring (51) and of the head (56) and to obtain, by operating the key (70), the rotation of the axis (16) which controls the pivoting of the tipper (5).
  12. Post according to any one of claims 10 to 11, characterized in that said notches (74/74a) have a rectangular contour and different heights, as a function of the length of said spindles (53/59) and closely surround the spindles which are cylindrical in shape.
