Definitions
- the invention relates to a special design of a spinnaker for sailing yachts with a hole in the center of the spinnaker.
- the invention is based on the object of realizing a spinnaker which is optimally flowed around in all wind conditions and thus provides optimum propulsion for the ship.
- the hole in the center of the spinnaker acts like a nozzle, as a result of which air currents are formed which are directed radially away from the hole. These currents inflate the spinnaker. If the wind is strong enough, the hole can be closed by a flap.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a special design of a spinnaker for sailing yachts with a hole in the center of the spinnaker.
Spinnakers are a proven type of sail for sailing yachts that sail upwind. Over the years, various forms have emerged. What they all have in common is that each is a closed canvas surface that is only varied in terms of cut and shape. In terms of flow technology, such surfaces are not the optimum for all wind conditions.
The invention is based on the object of realizing a spinnaker which is optimally flowed around in all wind conditions and thus provides optimum propulsion for the ship. In particular at low wind speeds, the hole in the center of the spinnaker acts like a nozzle, as a result of which air currents are formed which are directed radially away from the hole. These currents inflate the spinnaker. If the wind is strong enough, the hole can be closed by a flap.
