Abstract

During operation, the concentrator plane (3) and the stone extraction plane (4) are made to vibrate. Air is extracted at (19). The air which flows through the concentrator plane (3) fluidises the granular material which is let in through the feed (13) so that it flows off uniformly in an inclined direction. Components with a large specific weight collect on the underside, components with a low specific weight collect on the upper side of the stream. The components with a large specific weight drop down in the drop-through area (7). Components with a low specific weight move towards the light fraction outlet (14). As they drop downwards, the components with a large specific weight are braked by the airstream in the compartments (10), but cannot flow off in the inclined direction because of the transverse webs (11). They are therefore swirled in the compartments before they drop through openings of the second flow mask (9). By means of this swirling, a uniform turbulent airstream through the first flow mask (8) is ensured. As a result, disturbance to the coating of the granular material stream is avoided. In addition, since the uniform charging of the stone separating plane (4) is achieved, the stone separating process is improved. <IMAGE>
