Description

The invention relates to a device for mixing and kneading liquid, viscous, plastic, powdery or granular substances, which consists of at least two kneading blocks arranged on mutually parallel shafts in a housing and rotating in the same direction, each of which consists of one behind the other and the circumferential direction in the axial direction There is cam disks arranged offset from one another like a spiral staircase, the outline of the cam disks being formed from circular arcs.

Such a device is known (DE - B - 813 154). With these devices, there is a difficulty in designing the kneading blocks in such a way that an optimum drive energy of the kneading blocks is converted into kneading and mixing work. If the kneading and mixing process does not consistently convert enough drive energy into kneading and mixing work, then there is insufficient use of the possibilities of the kneading blocks. If, on the other hand, too much of the drive energy is converted into kneading and mixing work, then in the long term there may be an above-average local wear on the kneading blocks and / or a partial overuse of the processed material, which may result in a greater or lesser loss of quality.

The technical problem on which the invention is based is to design the kneading blocks in such a way that an optimal amount of drive energy is converted into kneading and mixing work and the material volume is processed uniformly. The kneading blocks should be constructed in such a way that the gaps through which the material is pressed during kneading and mixing can be adapted to the process task with simple means.

This technical problem is solved according to the invention in that the passage opening between the cams is enlarged by removing material from at least one cam.

The amount of material removed and the size of the offset angle between the cam disks allow the height and length of the through openings to be optimized, so that during the kneading and mixing process they provide the kneaded and mixed material with an optimal resistance, which is then implemented in kneading and mixing work, that neither above-average wear of the kneading blocks nor partial mechanical-thermal overstressing of the material occurs.

  • and FIG. 6 shows the outlines of the cam disks and intermediate disks of the kneading block according to FIGS. 5 a and 5 b.

The kneading block shown in Figures 1 a and 1 b consists of a total of five cams 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Each cam has a lens-like shape, and they are composed such that the kneading block is centered on a (not shown) Shaft can be arranged. The lens-like shape of the cam discs is achieved in that the contour of the cam discs consists of the contour curves 6 and 7. In the simplest case, the outline curve is an arc. The outline curve can also consist of several arcs. In the cam disks 1 to 5 shown, the tips are blunted such that the blunt ends of the cam disks are also formed by arcs 8 and 9.

As can be seen particularly clearly from FIG. 1 a, the cam disks 1 to 5 arranged one behind the other are each offset by 45 angular degrees, ie the offset angle is 45 ° . In this way, the kneading block has a spiral-like shape and between two ends of two adjacent cams there is an axial passage opening through which the material is conveyed.

Kneading blocks are mainly formed in one piece from production machines because kneading blocks composed of individual disks are more susceptible to breakage and there is a risk of installation errors. In principle, however, the kneading blocks can also be constructed from individual disks. In the case of the kneading blocks, the height and length of the shear gap is set by the disc thickness and the offset angle between the discs.

The kneading block shown in Figures 2 a and 2 b differs from the known kneading block according to Figures 1 a and 1 b in that at the ends of the cams 2 to 5, namely where they collide with the previous cam a more or less large volume has been removed, for example ground or milled. The volumes removed are designated by 10 in FIGS. 2a and 2b. The removed volumes can have any shape; in the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 2 a and 2 b, part of the ends of the cam disks are ground down obliquely, to the extent of the outer contour of the preceding cam disk. The position of the removed volumes shown applies in the event that the kneading block rotates in the direction shown by the arrow 11 in FIG. 2 a and the direction of conveyance 12 accordingly Fig. 2 results. In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 2 a and 2 b, the offset angle is 30 ° . According to the kneading block shown in FIG. 1b, three further cam disks can be connected to the right end of the kneading block, the outline of which corresponds to the mirror image of the cam disks 3, 2 and 1.

The measure shown on the basis of FIGS. 2a and 2b allows the drive energy which is to be implemented by the kneading block in mixing and kneading work to be set in a simple manner. Since a mixing and kneading device usually has several axially consecutive kneading blocks, otherwise unchanged boundary conditions such as speed, temperature, material and. Like., An optimization of the kneading blocks can be achieved solely by a more or less large volume removed from the kneading blocks.

In FIG. 3 the kneading block shown in one piece in FIG. 2b is shown disassembled for reasons of better understanding. From this representation it becomes clear what effect the removal of the volumes 10 has on the contour of the cam disks 1 to 4. Fig. 3 shows that the cams 1 to 4 are no longer a flat lenticular plate, but that the lenticular outline continues in the axial direction. This is illustrated in FIG. 3 by the extensions 17.

Fig. 4 zeigt die übliche Anordnung von zwei Knetblöcken mit den Kurvenscheiben 1 bis 4 auf zwei parallel zueinander angeordneten ( nicht gezeigten ) Wellen, welche gleichsinnig drehbar in dem Gehäuse 18 angeordnet sind.FIG. 4 shows the usual arrangement of two kneading blocks with the cam disks 1 to 4 on two shafts (not shown) arranged parallel to one another, which are arranged in the housing 18 so that they can rotate in the same direction.

Another embodiment of the invention is shown in Figures 5 a, 5 b and 6. As can be seen in FIGS. 5 a and 5 b, this kneading block also has cams 1 to 5, as have already been shown with reference to FIGS. 1 a and 1 b. However, as can be seen from FIG. 5 b, there is an intermediate disk 13, 14, 15 and 16 between two cams, namely between 1 and 2, 2 and 3, 3 and 4 and 4 and 5, which have an outline, which corresponds to the smallest common area of the two adjacent cams.

In order to clarify this better, the cam disks and intermediate disks which are arranged one behind the other or one next to the other in FIGS. 5 a and 5 b are shown individually in plan view in FIG. 6.

By correspondingly dimensioning the cam disks and intermediate disks, the same effect can be achieved as with the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 2a and 2b.

In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 5 a and 5 b, the cam disks 1 to 5 and the intermediate disks 13 to 16 have the same thickness d, ie. H. the ratio of the cam plate thickness to the intermediate plate thickness is 1: 1. It can vary between 1: 3 and 3: 1.
