Abstract

An air passage or outlet for imparting a spin flow to air passing therethrough, is economically produced of only two basic sheet metal components. The sheet metal has a good fire resistance capability and can be easily coated with an individual paint color. One sheet metal component is a sheet metal plate (4) with punched-out tongue-shaped air guide vanes (2) that are arranged at a spacing concentrically around a central axis perpendicular to the plane of the plate (4). A central hub area (3) remains connected to an outer area of plate (4) by spoke-type lands separating the air flow holes. The other sheet metal component of the air passage is a connector piece (5) having, e.g., a cylindrical neck (6) surrounded at its lower end by a collar (7). The inner diameter of the connector piece (5) is so dimensioned that radially outer edges of the guide vanes (2) are held in place by a press-fit against the inner sides of the cylindrical neck of the connector piece (5). The side of the sheet metal plate (4) facing the connector piece (5) bears rigidly against the edge of the neck (6) of the connector piece (5) when the two components are connected to each other.

Description

The invention relates to a swirl passage with guide vanes arranged concentrically around the central axis of a connecting piece that widens in the direction of flow in the direction of flow.

Swirl diffusers of this type are generally known and are arranged, for example, in the ceiling area of a room to be ventilated and / or air-conditioned and are connected to an air duct system. Due to the shape of these passages, the emerging air jets receive a high swirl impulse and are thus able to mix intensively with room air before they reach the area where the room is located, so that drafts are avoided there.

The swirl diffusers, which are proven per se in their mode of operation, are generally made of plastic, preferably by injection molding, and are therefore relatively inexpensive. Swirl diffusers made of plastic, however, have two major disadvantages: On the one hand, the swirl diffusers made of plastic lack sufficient temperature resistance, whereby the diffusers can even catch fire, depending on the plastic used for their manufacture. On the other hand, swirl diffusers made of plastic are difficult to use provided with a coat of paint and can therefore only be adapted to the individual color spectrum of a room with great effort.

The invention has for its object to propose a swirl diffuser of the type described above, which can be produced at least as rationally as the known swirl diffusers and also has the advantages that it is characterized both by a high fire resistance and also rational and durable with one individual paint job.

To solve this problem, a swirl diffuser of the generic type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1 is assumed, which according to the invention has the features specified in the characterizing part of the same.

To produce the swirl diffuser according to the invention, only two sheet metal parts are required, which are stamped and deformed in the manner according to the invention and produce two components which can be nested in one another in such a way that they allow the swirl diffuser to be formed without further aids.

Wird die Blechplatte mit den Leitschaufeln von oben aus in einen Blechstutzen eingeführt, reicht es zur Verbindung der Bauelemente aus, wenn sich dieIf the sheet metal plate with the guide vanes is inserted from above into a sheet metal socket, it is sufficient to connect the components if the

Press the outer edges of the guide vanes against the inside of the sheet metal socket with a slight preload.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the connection of the two components can also be stabilized in that each guide vane has at least one projection or recess on its radial outer edge, with which the guide vane is latched into a recess or a projection on the inside of the connecting piece. The projections can be needle-shaped and engage in appropriately designed recesses. Of course, there is also the possibility of designing recesses provided in the sheet metal socket as openings and initially allowing the projections on the outer edges of the guide vanes to protrude slightly beyond the outer circumference of the sheet metal socket, in order to finally compress or crank them in the manner of a riveted connection. It can also be advantageous to design the projections on the outer edges of the guide vanes as flat tongues in order to twist them slightly after they have been passed through the appropriately designed openings in the sheet metal socket.

Each of the connection types described above makes it possible to arrange the two components relative to one another such that, according to a further embodiment of the invention, the sheet metal plate from which the blades are formed, with the side over which the blades protrude, lies firmly against an end face of the sheet metal socket.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, a compact design of the swirl passage results from the fact that the outer contour of the sheet metal plate matches the outer contour of the sheet metal socket defined by a collar. Swirl diffusers designed in this way represent an essentially cuboid or disk-shaped structure which, for example, can be easily integrated flush with the ceiling in cassette-shaped recesses.

The sheet metal socket and the sheet metal plate can be circular or polygonal, without influencing the simple method of manufacturing the passage.

According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, at least two sheet metal plates provided with punched-out guide vanes are arranged one above the other and rotated relative to one another in such a way that the guide vanes of one sheet metal plate penetrate the guide vane punch-outs in the other sheet metal plate and the guide vanes fully cover the guide vane recesses in the projection.

Sheet metal plate of guide vanes punched out in a tongue-like manner in the sheet metal plate opening cross-sections that are larger than the projection of the guide vanes. These can therefore not completely cover the openings formed in the sheet metal plate.

Since laminated plates can be nested with one another with uniformly designed and arranged guide vanes, all that is required is to twist the sheet plates around their center line perpendicular to the plane of the plate over an angle that is smaller than the angle between two adjacent guide vanes, in order to ensure all openings through the projection of the guide vanes to cover completely.

  • Fig. 1 eine Seitenansicht eines kreisförmigen Dralldurchlasses, teilweise im Schnitt;
  • Fig. 2 die Hälfte eines Dralldurchlasses gemäß Fig. 1 im Grundriß;
  • Fig. 3 die Hälfte eines achteckigen Dralldurchlasses im Grundriß;
In the drawing, three exemplary embodiments of a swirl diffuser according to the invention are shown. Show it:
  • Figure 1 is a side view of a circular swirl diffuser, partially in section.
  • Fig. 2 shows half of a swirl diffuser according to Figure 1 in plan.
  • Figure 3 shows half of an octagonal swirl diffuser in plan.
  • Fig. 4 shows half of a square swirl diffuser in plan.

The swirl passage consists of a sheet metal plate 1 with tongue-shaped guide vanes 2, which are arranged concentrically about a central axis perpendicular to the plane of the sheet plate 1 at such a distance that a central area 3 and an edge area 4 of the sheet metal plate 1 are retained unchanged by the punching process .

Furthermore, the swirl passage consists of a connection piece 5, the cylindrical part 6 of which, with a radius R, merges into an arc in a collar 7 projecting radially outwards. The minimum inner diameter of the nozzle 5 is dimensioned such that sections of the radial outer edges of the guide vanes 2 are pressed against the inner wall of the nozzle 5, while the side of the sheet metal plate 1 facing the nozzle 5 is tight against the end face of the nozzle 5.

The connecting piece 5 can either be formed from a sheet metal plate or can also consist of a sheet metal tube, the collar 7 being molded on in the rolling process.

The two components of the swirl diffuser according to the invention can thus be produced in a rational manner in a stamping and bending process and, for example, can also be rationally provided with the individually desired color, for example in the immersion process. The square layout of the swirl diffuser allows it to be integrated, for example, flush with the ceiling in cassette-shaped recesses in an architecturally advantageous manner.
