  • Table 5 clearly indicates that, in Examples 18 to 21 in accordance with the present invention, the resultant lubrication treated titanium wires exhibited a high resistance to galling even after five passes of the cold drawing test whereas, in Comparative Examples 30 to 33, the resultant lubrication treated titanium wire had galls at the fifth pass of the cold drawing test.

Claims (10)

  1. Schmierverfahren zum Kaltverformen eines metallischen Materials, wobei das Verfahren umfaßt Behandeln des metallischen Materials mit einer wässerigen Schmierbehandlungsflüssigkeit, umfassend:
    (a) 4 bis 160 g/l einer Metallseife;
    (b) 50 bis 400 g/l eines festen Schmiermittels, bestehend aus mindestens einem Mitglied, ausgewählt aus Molybdändisulfid, Graphit, Wolframdisulfid, fluoriertem Graphit, Bornitrid und Talkum;
    (c) 0,5 bis 40 g/l eines Tensids zum gleichförmigen Dispergieren der Metallseife und des festen Schmiermittels;
    (d) eine kolloidale Titanverbindung, die ein Neutralisationsreaktionsprodukt von mindestens einem Mitglied, ausgewählt aus Verbindungen von Titan mit Schwefelsäure und Verbindungen von Titan mit Phosphorsäure ist, wobei das Produkt mit einem alkalischen Stoff neutralisiert wird und in einer Menge von 10 bis 5000 ppm, ausgedrückt als Titan, vorliegt; und
    (e) Wasser.
  2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Metallseife mindestens ein Mitglied, ausgewählt aus Salzen von Calcium, Aluminium, Magnesium, Barium und Zink mit Fettsäuren und Hydroxyfettsäuren mit 12 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatomen umfaßt.
  3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 2, wobei die Säuren für die Metallseife ausgewählt sind aus Laurinsäure, Myristinsäure, Palmitinsäure, Stearinsäure, Behensäure und Hydroxystearinsäure.
  4. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, wobei die Metallseife in einem Gewichtsverhältnis von 2:5 bis 1:50 des festen Schmiermittels vorliegt.
  5. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, wobei Molybdändisulfid als festes Schmiermittel verwendet wird, vorzugsweise in einer Menge von 150 bis 250 g/l.
  6. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, wobei die kolloidale Titanverbindung durch Neutralisieren von Titanphosphat mit Natriumhydroxid (Ätznatron) hergestellt wird.
  7. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, wobei die kolloidale Titanverbindung in einer Menge von mindestens 50 ppm vorliegt.
  8. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, wobei das behandelte metallische Material ein Material ist mit einer chemischen Umwandlungsschicht darauf gebildet, und die Schicht mit der wässerigen Schmierbehandlungsflüssigkeit behandelt wird.
  9. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, wobei die wässerige Schmierbehandlungsflüssigkeit zusätzlich 5 bis 150 g/l eines Bindemittels umfaßt.
  10. Verfahren nach Anspruch 9, wobei das Bindemittel mindestens ein Mitglied, ausgewählt aus anorganischen Boraten, Phosphaten und Silicaten und wasserlöslichen organischen hochmolekularen Stoffen umfaßt.
