Description

The present invention relates to cabinets intended to contain cans of paint, the lid of which is provided with an agitator.

Cabinets of this type are used, in particular in the automobile bodywork industry, to make it possible to have paints making possible mixtures corresponding to the exact color of a paint to be produced, for example, on a repaired vehicle.

Depending on the size of the company using these cabinets, or its own specialty, the cabinets for mixing jars must be of different capacities.

The invention relates to the production of said cabinets and, more particularly, a modular embodiment making possible mass production, for the construction of cabinets of very different capacities and adaptable to the place of use.

The prior art has in particular made known the document EP-A-0 127 589 which describes a parallelepiped cabinet intended for the positioning by sliding of shelves placed side by side to receive cans of paint, intended to be agitated.

Likewise, the device according to document EP-A-0 065 498 relates to an apparatus intended to drive the agitator of a number of mixing pots and, to this end, it describes, in the same way as the document above. above, pallets arranged on shelves at different levels and intended to be brought into engagement with the drive fork of the agitator of a pot.

Thus, in accordance with the invention, the modular cabinet for agitator of paints and similar products is characterized by at least two modules arranged contiguously to each other and each comprising a base or box on which analog modular cells are mounted and superimposed each comprising two vertical panels connected by an upper plate containing a mechanism for driving coupling elements and by a cover forming the bottom of an upper cell, said coupling elements being complementary to coupling elements that include pot agitators placed in the cells, only one of the cells being provided with a geared motor, this geared motor being simultaneously connected to vertical motion transmitters and horizontal motion transmitters ensuring the connection between the gear motor and the module cell coupling elements.

Various other characteristics of the invention will moreover emerge from the detailed description which follows and from the appended secondary claims.

Embodiments of the object of the invention are shown, by way of nonlimiting examples, in the accompanying drawings.

Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective of agitator modules for mixing paint, produced in accordance with the invention.

1.Fig. 2 is a perspective, also exploded, of a detail of embodiment appearing in FIG. 1.

Fig. 3 is an exploded perspective of a motor and transmitter mechanism included in a base of the agitator modules.

Fig. 4 is an exploded perspective similar to FIG. 3, illustrating two modules arranged at right angles.

1.Fig. 5 is an exploded perspective showing the drive mechanisms contained in the trays, which are provided with the constituent cells of the modules of FIG. 1.

Fig. 6 is an exploded perspective view of a shaft device forming a vertical transmitter for driving the mechanisms contained in the plates of the cells.

Fig. 7 is a perspective of agitator modules according to a slight variant.

Fig. 1 shows the left side, exploded view, a module 1 and in the right part, a module 1 is mounted and intended to be attached to the module 1, to form a cabinet with two modules.

As is apparent from the present description, a cabinet can be constituted by any number of modules.

Le couvercle 7 forme en même temps le fond d'une cellule supérieure, en l'occurrence le fond de la cellule 3a.Each module includes a base 2 for the support of cells 3, 3 a , ... 3 n , produced in a similar manner, that is to say that they each have two vertical panels 4, 5 connected in their part upper, by a plate 6 intended to support a mechanism described in the following and, which is covered by a cover 7. The cover 7 forms at the same time the bottom of an upper cell, in this case the bottom of the cell 3 a .

The following shows that a module can have any number of cells, for example, five or six.

The method of assembling the vertical panels 4, 5 on the base 2, then thereafter, of the plate 6 and of the cover 7 forming the bottom of an upper cell, is not described in detail, because it can be produced in different manners.

In general, the vertical panels are made of folded sheet metal and the assembly carried out by means of bolts, such as those illustrated in 8 by way of example. Similar bolts 8 can also be used for fixing the plate 6 and its cover 7.

The part of each cover 7 which forms the bottom of a cell is intended to support agitator pots 9, the cover 10 of which comprises a coupling element 11, intended to be brought into engagement with a complementary coupling element 12, carried and driven by a shaft 13, projecting from the underside of each plate 6.

The complementary coupling elements 11 and 12 being of an embodiment well known in the art of paint can agitators are not described in more detail below.

5.Only the drive of the shafts 13 is explained by way of example in the following, with reference to FIG. 5.

In the realization of fig. 1 to 4, one of the bases 2 is provided with an electric geared motor 14 (fig. 1) carried by a base 15, which can be adjusted in position by a suitable mechanism, for example a screw 16 (fig. 3 ). The gear motor 14 is intended to drive a belt 17 or the like, passing over a pulley with two grooves 18 mounted in the base 2, near one of its lateral sides.

The pulley 18, which is housed in the thickness of the base 2, is connected to a vertical coupling element 19, for example of the dog clutch type of the kind illustrated in FIG. 6 and, which is intended for driving a second coupling element 20 of the same type possibly via an elastic nut.

The base 2 has internally cross members 22, 23 supporting between them pulleys 24 (fig. 3) whose position is adjustable relative to slots 25 to allow the tension adjustment of a toothed belt 26 or the like. The toothed belt 26 is passed in the second groove of the pulley 18 of the first base 2 and in one of the two grooves of a pulley 18 has similar and, mounted in the same way near a lateral end of a second base 2, said pulley 18 a also comprising a vertical coupling element 19 a .

It follows from the above that the movement of the gear motor 14 can easily be transmitted from one base 2 to another by toothed belts 26 all similar, as long as the length of the bases is the same.

When two bases 2, 2 a must be arranged at a right angle, one interposed between them, as illustrated in FIG. 4, a bevel gear 27 which is constituted by a housing 28, in which pulleys 29, 30 are mounted for a toothed belt 26 a , intended to connect, for example, the pulley with two grooves 18 a , to another pulley with two grooves 18 b placed in the base 2 a .

To allow the bases 2, 2 a to be arranged in line or at a right angle or at another angle, the drawing shows that it is advantageous for their angles to form bevels 32.

To ensure the passage of the belts 26, 26 a , the ends of the bases have openings 33 closed, as regards the end bases, by a plate 34 or a housing 35.

3, afin que l'élément d'accouplement 19 soit aligné avec le volume délimité intérieurement par le premier panneau vertical 3, dans lequel entre l'élément d'accouplement vertical 19.Indeed, it is advantageous to obtain a suitable reduction ratio, that the two-grooved pulley 18 of the first base, that is to say the one which is provided with the motor 14, is two-stage and protrudes slightly from the base 2, as shown in fig. 3, so that the coupling element 19 is aligned with the volume delimited internally by the first vertical panel 3, in which between the vertical coupling element 19.

5).The above arrangement means that the second coupling element 20 (fig. 6) can be placed on the projecting part of the coupling element 19, this second coupling element being connected to a shaft 36 driving coupling elements 20 a and 19 a . The coupling element 19 a is connected to a pulley 37 placed in the first plate 6 (fig. 5).

1 et 5.The pulley 37 drives a belt 38 or similar element, engaged with pulleys 39 mounted on each of the shafts 13 described above and illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 5.

It can be seen from the above that the pulley with two grooves 18 of each base 2, 2 a allows, by means of vertical coupling elements, for example of the dog clutch type and of easily mountable shaft sections, d '' drive transmission assemblies consisting of a driving pulley 37 and receiving pulleys 39, forming part of a plate 6 of a cell and that several cells can thus be superimposed, at the option of the user, all cells being identical between them.

In the embodiment described, the gear motor is arranged on the base 2, behind the first cell 3. In some cases it may be advantageous to reduce the thickness of the modules, as shown in FIG. 7 according to which the gear motor 14 is disposed at the very top of the module. The mechanisms described with reference to figs. 3, 4 are then included in a box made in the same way as the bases 2, but put in place on the last cell 3 n .

1 à 6.Although not shown, the transmission from one cell to another is carried out in the same way as described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 6.

In addition to the above, it is advantageous, as illustrated in particular in FIGS. 6 and 7, that a housing 40 is put in place below each plate 6, to isolate the coupling elements 12.

Each housing 40 has an opening 41 allowing the introduction of the coupling element 11 which is fitted with the cover of each agitator pot 9, the centering of which is ensured by fingers 42 (fig. 6) projecting from the cover 7 covering the plates 6 and constituting the bottom of a cell. It is thus ensured that risks of accidents due to the rotational driving of the coupling elements 12 are eliminated, since these are not accessible, even when a cell is not completely filled with agitator pots.

En particulier, dans le cas d'armoires de grandes dimensions, il est possible de prévoir plusieurs modules comportant un moteur 14.The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments, shown and described in detail, since various modifications can be made thereto without departing from its scope. In particular, in the case of large cabinets, it is possible to provide several modules comprising a motor 14.
