Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an illumination device for illuminating escalators or moving walks consisting of a balustrade, a balustrade base and a support device carrying a handrail, with at least one active light source, with lenses for light control and with at least one passive light source.
From the patent specification DE 873 122 an escalator with a balustrade is known, which is clad on the inside on both sides with glass plates which have a layer of fluorescent paint on the inside. The layers are illuminated by radiation. For this purpose, a light source is provided at the top behind each of the two glass plates. The light source shines through the upper part of each glass plate, which is left free of the layer, and in this way shines on the opposite glass plate and brings the layer to self-illumination there.
The disadvantage of the known device is that such arrangements have an appealing effect, but require a great deal of construction and installation effort. Another disadvantage is that the self-illuminating layers are unable to adequately illuminate the accessible area of the escalator. In addition, such lighting devices cannot be protected against vandalism.
Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. The invention seeks to remedy this. The invention, as characterized in the claims, solves the problem of creating a lighting system with which the lighting and the decorative presentation of escalators or Moving walks with the simplest means is significantly improved.
The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that savings in technical outlay are possible and that the structural design of the balustrade is facilitated.
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 1
- a schematic representation of an escalator or moving walk balustrade with an inventive lighting device.
Je nach Oberflächenbeschaffenheit und Krümmungsgrad der Mittelschenkel 9; 10 lassen sich dekorative Lichteffekte erzielen.1, 1 denotes a transparent balustrade, which is held by an
