Description

The invention relates to a weaving machine with a thread selection unit for each weft thread to be inserted, the thread selection unit having a plurality of feeders for each weft thread, which feeder can be driven by a tongue and this in turn can be driven by a lever in the longitudinal direction of the tongue, the tongue being transversely displaced by an adjusting device is longitudinally movable and the tongue is in the area of influence of the lever when its transverse movement is carried out by the adjusting device in a certain direction.

Such a device is described in European patent application 0 293 558. The tongue can be gripped by a lever which can be moved back and forth continuously if an adjustment device for the tongue adjusts it by a small swivel angle against the lever. This is achieved by means of a rocker, one leg of which bears against the tongue and the other leg of which can be pulled by a magnet. A spring that engages the other leg ensures that the rocker does not rest on the magnet when it is not effective. If the magnet is effective, the other leg of the rocker pushes the tongue up so that the lever engages in a recess on the tongue and brings this and thus the feeder for the weft thread into a position in which the weft thread can be gripped by the entry element of the weaving machine. The correct adjustment of the tongue according to the specified color program depends on whether the magnet can overcome the spring force or on whether the spring brings the rocker back when the magnet is not effective. Experience has shown that when using springs in practice, the problem arises of maintaining the same balance of forces over a longer period of operation, since the material can tire and the spring force consequently decreases. In this case, malfunctions in the thread selection unit would result.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a weaving machine with a thread selection unit, in which the correct weft thread is selected without the use of springs.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the adjustment device contains two adjustment means, and that the adjustment means are arranged opposite one another, leaving a space in which the tongue is mounted for longitudinal displacement and, depending on the operating state, can be displaced by a small amount against one or the other adjustment means is.

Each adjusting means can consist, for example, of two electromagnets acting in the opposite direction, or of an electromagnet which is selectively excited when it is intended to act on the tongue, and a permanent magnet acting in the opposite direction in combination with a further electromagnet, the latter acting as a Can cancel permanent magnets. The tongue Depending on its position relative to the first or second adjustment means, it can also assume two different positions relative to a slide driven by the lever for longitudinal displacement of the tongue, the tongue lying in one position in a recess in the slide and in a second position outside this recess . In the first case, when the tongue engages in the recess of the slide, it is moved back and forth together with the feeder in time with the movements of the slide. The tongue can have a projection with which it can engage in a recess in a stationary tongue guide, the recess being able to be present twice in the tongue guide for two intended rest positions of the tongue. In another embodiment, the slide has a plunger and a hook, which are arranged with a recess in the longitudinal direction or direction of movement of the slide. The end of the tongue engages in the recess between the plunger and the hook, a projection for engaging with the hook and a step for engaging with the plunger being provided on the tongue, depending on the position of the tongue within the adjusting device and lies relative to the pestle.

In order to select an individual feeder for the respective weft thread in the thread selection unit, a single adjusting means is put into operational readiness and the respective opposite adjusting means is deactivated, whereby a change in position of the tongue in the space between the adjusting means is based and a displacement of the tongue under the influence of the carriage can be done. The active selection of one or the other adjustment means enables the tongue to be adjusted safely, so that malfunctions in the thread selection unit are excluded. In this way the operational safety of the thread selection unit is significantly increased.

In Fig. 1 of the thread selection unit 1, the adjusting device 10 is shown schematically with two adjusting means 11, 11 ', wherein the adjusting means can be formed by electromagnets. Between the adjusting means 11, 11 'there is an intermediate space 10' within which the tongue 12 is guided and which can be moved closer to one adjusting means 11 or the other adjusting means 11 'depending on the operating state of the adjusting device. The tongue 12 is connected via a push rod 16, which is straight in the thread selection unit, to a tab 17 which engages the feeder 18 for the weft thread 1 ′. The end 12 'of the tongue 12 facing away from the push rod 16 has a projection 12a which engages in a recess 13' of the slide 13 when the tongue 12 is closer to the upper adjusting means 11. This is the case when an electromagnet, which is used as adjusting means 11, is ready for operation is. This is indicated by the lightning symbol in FIG. 1 for the adjusting means 11. To drive the carriage 13, which has a straight guide in the thread selection unit 1, a lever 14 is used, which is set, for example, by an eccentric drive, not shown, in pivoting movements according to arrow 14 '. The lever 14 can for example engage in the recess 13 'of the carriage 13, whereby the carriage 13 is inevitably driven by the lever 14. During weaving operation, the lever 14 is moved from one end position to the other. The tongue guide 15 outside of the adjusting device 10 has two cutouts 15 ′ and 15 ″, in which a projection 12c according to FIG. 2 of the tongue 12 can engage alternately. If no change in position of a feeder 18 is provided, the projection 12c remains in one of the recesses 15 ', 15''under the action of the adjusting means 11' which pulls the tongue 12 downward.

In a preferred mode of operation of the adjusting device 10, the adjusting means 11 is switched on during a displacement of the tongue 12 by means of the slide 13 and switched off when the lever 14 has reached the end position, and at the same time the other adjusting means 11 'is switched on, the tongue then being reached after everyone has reached it End position with the projection 12c in one of the recesses 15 ', 15''. While in the end position of lever 14, slide 13, tongue 12 to feeder 18 shown in FIG. 1, the weft thread 1 'is held in a position by means of the eyelet 18' in which the gripper 30 as the entry element for the weft thread 1 'does not 2, the other end position of the parts mentioned is shown in FIG. The dot-and-dash position of the eyelet 18 'in FIG. 1 shows the thread position in which the weft thread 1' is grasped during the entry movement of the gripper 30.

Entsprechend den verschiedenen Lagen der Schwenkachsen 19a, 19b, 19c weisen auch die verschiedenen Laschen 17 eines Fadenwählaggregates 1 verschiedenen Längen auf, während sämtliche Schubstangen 16, Zungen 12, Schlitten 13 usw. gleich ausgeführt sind.1 and 2, the crosses 18a, 18b, 18c etc. and 19a, 19b, 19c respectively denote the eyelet centers or the pivot axes of the various feeders 18 of a thread selection unit. The staggering of the eyelet centers or the swivel axes of the different feeders 18 is necessary so that the different weft threads 1 ', 1' 'etc. can be selected individually without interfering with one another. Corresponding to the different positions of the pivot axes 19a, 19b, 19c, the various tabs 17 of a thread selection unit 1 also have different lengths, while all the push rods 16, tongues 12, slides 13, etc. are of the same design.

Fig. 3a
Fig. 3b
Fig. 3c
Fig. 3d
FIGS. 3a to 3d show different operating positions in a thread selection unit in a different embodiment of tongue 12 and slide 13. The tongue 12 here has a projection 12a and a step 12b, which come into engagement with a hook 13a or a plunger 13b of the slide 13, depending on whether the tongue 12 is closer to the upper adjusting means 11 or the lower adjusting means 11 '. lies. A rest position as in the embodiment according to FIG. 1 or 2 for the tongue 12 in a recess 15 'or 15''is not provided here. The tongue end 12 'is pulled to the right by the hook 13a according to FIG. 3d when the adjusting means 11 is ready for operation, or by the plunger 13b according to FIG. 3b to the left when the adjusting means 11' is ready to operate, the The operational readiness of the upper and lower adjustment means 11, 11 'must be coordinated in time with the change of direction of the slide, indicated by arrows in FIGS. 3a-3d. The mode of operation is explained in detail below.
Fig. 3a
The upper adjustment means 11 is in operation. the tongue end 12 is slightly raised and cannot be gripped by the plunger 13b of the slide 13. The push rod 16 and the tongue 12 always remain in the right end position when the slide 13 is simultaneously moved back and forth according to the double arrow.
Fig. 3b
The tongue 12 is now to be shifted to the left, which will result in an upward lifting of the not shown eyelet 18 'according to FIG. 1. For this purpose, the adjusting means 11 'is put into operational readiness, so that the slide 13b can engage in the step 12b of the tongue 12 during the next stroke of the slide 13 from right to left. Consequently, the tongue 12 with the carriage 13 is moved to the left according to the arrow in FIG. 3b.
Fig. 3c
The lower adjusting means 11 'remains switched on or ready for operation, as a result of which the tongue 12 lies in the lower position, the hook 13a not being able to catch the projection 12a. While the carriage 13 is moved back and forth according to the double arrow in FIG. 3c, the tongue 12 remains in the left extreme position, with no weft thread 1 'being presented to the hook.
Fig. 3d
finally shows again the change in position from left to right of tongue 12 and slide 13 when again the adjusting means 11 is switched on and the projection 12a is gripped by the hook 13a.

  2. A loom according to claim 1, characterised in that the adjusting means (11, 11') take the form of two electromagnets operative in opposite directions to one another.
  3. A loom according to claim 2, characterised in that one (11) of the adjusting means is in the form of an electromagnet and the second is embodied by a permanent magnet operative in the opposite direction to the first adjusting means, in combination with a further electromagnet adapted to cancel the effect of the permanent magnet.
  4. A loom according to claim 1, characterised in that the tongue (12) is movable lengthwise by a slide driven by a lever (14), a recess (13') in the slide (13) being associated with a projection (12a) of the tongue (12), the projection (12a) responding to activation of one of the adjusting means (11) by engaging in the recess (13').
  5. A loom according to claim 1, characterised in that the tongue (12) has a projection (12c) and a stationary tongue guide (15) formed with two recesses (15', 15'') is present, the projection (12c) being effective to secure the tongue (12) in an inoperative position by engagement in one of the recesses (15', 15'').
  6. A loom according to claim 1, characterised in that to transmit the movement from the lever (14) to the tongue (12) a slide (13) is provided and a push rod (13b) and a hook (11) are disposed on that side of the slide (13) which faces the tongue (12), the push rod and hook being separated from one another by a recess (13') in which one end (12') of the tongue (12) is disposed, the latter end running out in a projection (12a) and a shoulder (12b), the projection (12a) being adapted to engage with the hook (13a) and the shoulder (12b) to engage with the push rod (13b) in response to an intended displacement of the tongue (12), an engagement occurring when an adjusting means (11, 11') not previously in operation is activated.
