Junction boxes are known in which the perforating connections of the conductive connections are individually fixed to the phases and the neutral of the cables and are independent of the housing. However, their preparation requires a fairly large number of operations, and they are relatively bulky.
The present invention aims to provide a junction box that can be mounted on a live main cable, in a reduced number of simple operations, so that the operator is never in contact with conductive parts of the connection, and which is compact and space-saving.
The junction box according to the invention is characterized in that the ends of the conductors of the derivative cable (s), and the ends of the metal bypass connections directly provided with said perforating connectors are arranged inside an extension of the first external insulating element, integrated into it and forming an appendage thereon.
It also preferably meets at least one of the following characteristics:
- The extension of said first insulating element projects away from said second external insulating element assembled on it.
- The connection of the derivative cable (s) is obtained by a perforating wedge by means of a conical insulating part, of cruciform cross section, driven back inside a cavity receiving the phase and neutral conductors of the derivative cable (s) , by an operating screw.
- The internal insulating element is connected to said first external insulating element by male sliding connections engaging with female sliding connections of the latter.
- The perforating connections on the conductors of the main cable include two connections integral with said first external insulating element and two connections integral with said internal insulating element, all four having to perforate the insulating material of the corresponding conductor by screwing the male connection (s) of said internal insulating element in the female connections of said first external insulating element.
- A first pair of conductive metal links connected to a first pair of conductors of one or more derived cables is also directly connected to a first pair of conductors of the main cable, and a second pair of conductive metal links connected to a second pair of conductors of one or more derived cables is connected to a second pair of conductors of the main cable via the male connections of said internal insulating element and the female of said first external insulating element, after their advance into each other.
- Figure 1 shows in section the entire fitting.
- Figure 2 shows on a larger scale an insulating sliding wedge perforating conductors of the branch cable, in two half-sections by a plane perpendicular to the plane of Figure 1 along its axis II-II, the upper half-section before connection , the lower half-cut after connection of the conductors of the branch cable.
In Figure 1, the junction box has two external elements called shells assembled to each other with another internal element also called shell. The upper
The upper and lower external molded shells fit into one another by baffle-
The
The insulating internal shell has two
The
The branches are made up as follows. The insulating molded
Furthermore, a conical insulating part, of cross section in the form of a cross, 16 separating the conductors of the branch cable ensures the perforation of the insulators of the conductors of this branch cable. To this end (see Figure 2) it can be pushed by a maneuvering
It is obvious that the junction box can receive two derived cables, on one side and the other respectively of the box, the two derived cables ending in two
